Oh, No Wonder They Didn’t Want Us To Know

July 06, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

You know how Trump and Company didn’t want us to know where the PPP money is going?

Grover Norquist took between 150-300 K because the millions and millions he already has just can’t tide a boy through these tough times when a president too weak to whimper makes us long for the days of Franklin Roosevelt.

Grover Norquist and the Ayn Rand Institute want you to know government is intrusive, taxes are bad and socialism is horrific – and they will after they get their handouts.

They will now resume their regularly scheduled vitriol about liberal overreach & the evils of big government.

But wait, isn’t this kinda like if matter hits anti-matter?  Shouldn’t the Ayn Rand Institute be crumbling into nothingness?  Or is this just a clever plot for Grover to shrink government until he can drown it in the bathtub?

Thanks to Deb T for the heads up.

Equities Like Global Stability

You know, money ain’t everything and when J P Morgan talks like this, there’s some people listening.

JPMORGAN: “The consensus view is that a Democrat victory in November will be a negative for equities. However, we see this outcome as neutral to slight positive.”

I bet they choked on that last part.  Or at least the building shook.

The stock market has always done better under Democrats.  And, the fact that a stock market will exist with a Democratic win is certainly a slight improvement over carnage and chaos.

Oh Yeah, Mary Is Talking

Simon & Schuster is moving the up publication of Mary Trump’s book by two weeks.  I suspect because they think Trump’s not going to last much longer than that.

There is a hint of what is to come on the back cover.  Click here to read it.

I certainly hope this book does not expect me to feel sorry for him.  I hear Stalin had a rough childhood, too.

Oh Mississippi

July 04, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

You can change their flag but you cannot change their minds.

Blacks in Mississippi just lost the coveted status as human beings.  But, you know, they have a new flag so that’s an equal trade, I guess.

Gail Welch, an election commissioner in Mississippi, took to Facebook to warn “people” what was coming.

Her first explanation is that this was supposed to be a private comment. On Facebook.

Second comment was that she was just wishing that everybody got out there and registered people like Blacks do. And by everybody she means white people.

And the third comment is that she’s an elected official and she supposes she could have worded it better. Which, if you think about it, would not have taken a lot of effort if you recognized Black people as human beings.

Gail is concerned.

So am I, Gail, so am I.

Thanks to SGray for the heads up.

One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

Oh, Governor Greg Abbott … oh

Abbott has now exempted face masks in voting locations. Seriously.

Gov. Greg Abbott’s mask order exempts “any person who is voting, assisting a voter, serving as a poll watcher, or actively administering an election,” but he adds that “wearing a face covering is strongly encouraged.”

Yeah, we tried that strongly encouraged stuff.  The Governor’s people aren’t buying that because the Lt. Governor is telling them … freedom!  Plus, there is all this stuff on Facebook claiming that masks will give you brain damage and ruin your lungs, and Trump doesn’t wear one.

But, if the crazies don’t vote, the other crazies don’t win the primary.  So tell me this isn’t political.  This is pure politics with human life.

Damn, Greg, I had a nice thought about you.  Whish – it went away.
