Oh, No Wonder They Didn’t Want Us To Know

July 06, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

You know how Trump and Company didn’t want us to know where the PPP money is going?

Grover Norquist took between 150-300 K because the millions and millions he already has just can’t tide a boy through these tough times when a president too weak to whimper makes us long for the days of Franklin Roosevelt.

Grover Norquist and the Ayn Rand Institute want you to know government is intrusive, taxes are bad and socialism is horrific – and they will after they get their handouts.

They will now resume their regularly scheduled vitriol about liberal overreach & the evils of big government.

But wait, isn’t this kinda like if matter hits anti-matter?  Shouldn’t the Ayn Rand Institute be crumbling into nothingness?  Or is this just a clever plot for Grover to shrink government until he can drown it in the bathtub?

Thanks to Deb T for the heads up.

  1. Grover certainly proves that railing against big government with hypocrisy isn’t cheap!

  2. Old Fart says:

As always, the GOPs are complaining about government money being given out… to people other than themselves.

  3. Grandma Ada says:

Who got loans is important but I’m waiting to see whose loans were forgiven. Those that got $$ on the first day, April 20 would have to wait until June 14 to apply for forgiveness. That’s the really important information!

It IS a clever plot, to over-burden government with useless debt when republicans are in power, so they can deny the same to democrats when they take over. Started with Raygun, continues with Fat Donnie.

  5. Steve from Beaverton says:

Add the Kushners and Trump organization and the McConnells and…….. the Koch brothers wouldn’t surprise me. Now we know why they wanted to keep the recipients from the public.
Oh, and I wonder how much the taxpayers had to fork over for princess ivanka and prince Jared’s 4th of July getaway.

Claw backs of ill-gotten gains should help with the national deficit.

  7. Old but Slow says:

Should a citizen get a mistaken overpayment from a bank or the government, they can’t just keep it. Repayment is demanded and soon.

Are the rules different for big corps? Doh.

3 Kushner family enterprises received PPP loans, so did the Daily Caller, Newsmax , Elaine Chao’s family, and David Bossie. Brad Parscale’s company got a bailout & Trump’s SuperPAC Devin Nunes winery got a PPP loan Korean Air received a loan of $5 million to $10 million Numerous defense contractors and gun companies listed were among the recipients of loans totaling $2 million or more

Here is the cherry on the cake:
“The data also lists 43 Planned Parenthood locations that received a combined $60 million in loans, funds that prompted 127 Republican lawmakers to call for a federal investigation. The SBA sent letters to dozens of Planned Parenthood affiliates ordering them to give back the money”

  9. The bathtub thing.
Of course they sop up the gravy. Not doing so would go against their disaster capitalist creed. It would be an unforgivable sin in the eyes of their fellow vultures. The bathtub aspect is a twofer. They’ll gleefully enrich themselves from our tax money, riding our democracy to the ground like Slim Pickens bull riding the A-bomb.
Because in their minds the chaos of the aftermath will need powerful people to rule. And in their eyes they’re all John Galts and the rest of the people in the enclave that us socialist moochers will go begging to for salvation.
Awhile ago my lady and I were talking about how repugnantcans project their douchebaggery on to us.
We thought that was just a douchebag repugnantcan trait.
And then we came to the conclusion we do the same thing to them. Even with overwhelming historical evidence to the contrary, we keep being surprised at the depth these sub-human cretins will sink to because it’s so much the opposite of what we think is moral.

Well, they are being true to Rand;s legacy. We all know the story of how she bellied up to the government trough at the end.

  11. Art Foulkes says:

NPR is reporting this morning that a number of unnamed mega churches as well as the scientologists have applied for and received these business loans. This begs the question, are they now declaring themselves to be businesses rather than religious institutions? And if so are they willing to surrender their tax exempt status in exchange for receiving such loans?
legal minds need to get to work to figure this out?

    11
  12. 3 Kusher firms swimming in government money, while there are still credentialed individual tax payers still wiating for their morsel of the pie? Shouldn’t this be enough to start arresting at the Elite level and slamming them intothe hoosegow?

  13. Dan Patrick’s broadcasting company got bailout money too.
