Louie! Dammit! You Just Crossed the Line.

July 26, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, Louie Gohmert’s opponent, Hank Gilbert – who is a great guy, held a rally today at the town square in  Tyler, Texas.

Louie Gohmert’s people held a counter- protest and would not allow Hank to speak.  To be honest, Hank is the first real candidate to run a real challenge against Gohmert.

Needless to say, a fight broke out and since Hank’s people weren’t carrying guns, they got the raw end of the deal.

Hank’s campaign manager was beaten while the thugs shouted Louie, Louie, Louie!  He’ll be fine but they stole his iPhone.

This is one of Hank’s supporters (in the blue shirt) being attacked. Look at the expression on the face of the Trump supporter.  That’s what Louie likes.

I’m sure more of the story will come out tomorrow.  Hank put his message on his Facebook page.

Guys, we are trying to get a thousand donations to Hank from across the country standing with him against Louie Gohmert and his thugs.  Please consider donating – even $5 – to Hank’s campaign.  I know him personally and he’d be a damn fine congressman.  It will ask you several times if you want to make it a monthly donation.  Just say nope. We need a one time fast response right now.

Y’all, It’s Missouri, Where Dirty Minds Abound

There’s a three way race in the Republican primary for the State Senate seat in south central Missouri.

It got a little nuts this week when one of the candidates decided to run a rather clever negative ad claiming that neither of his opponents have backbones.

He used pretend x-rays with the backbones removed and his opponents’ heads put on top.

The dirty minds arrived with Karla Eslinger’s sideways x-ray. Check what would be her left hand.

Holy cow, she had a fit!

“I am saddened my opponent, Robert Ross, would attempt to diminish my accomplishments and who I am by putting a photo of my face on top of a skeleton that included a depiction of a male appendage,” she said in a statement. “I would welcome Rep. Ross refocusing his campaign on issues that matter to most voters like jobs, education, and healthcare rather than pornography.”

Clutch those pearls, Karla!

She does know that a male appendage is not actually a bone, right?  Quick, somebody tell her or this could get embarrassing.

And he’s still not apologizing.

A Christian non-profit, Bread for the World, has asked Ted Yoho for his resignation.

Bread for the World announced Yoho’s resignation in a statement on Saturday, saying that his “recent actions and words as reported in the media are not reflective of the ethical standards expected of members of our Board of Directors.”

Yeah, and he’s not allowed to eat at Chick-fil-A ever again.

You know, his apology was that he did it because, “I cannot apologize for my passion or for loving my God, my family and my country.”

Ya know, you can scratch off God and Country, so send Ted Yahoo home to his family.

Thanks to all y’all for the heads up.

How Low Can You Go?

Okay, here’s the astounding deal.  The Ronald Reagan Foundation has demanded that the Trump campaign and the RNC not use Ronald Reagan to raise money.

Trump was trying to sale a commemorative coin set.

The solicitation offered, for a donation of $45 or more, a “limited edition” commemorative set featuring two gold-colored coins, one each with an image of Reagan and Trump. The coins were mounted with a 1987 photograph of Reagan and Trump shaking hands in a White House receiving line — the type of fleeting contact that presidents have with thousands of people a year.

According the the Washington Post, the coins were still for sale online on Saturday afternoon although the RNC and the Trump campaign had both agreed to stop using Reagan.

The Reagan Foundation is threatening to get lawyers involved.

Joe Biden will have the support of the three living Democratic presidents – Carter, Clinton, and Obama.  Trump will have nothing.

Thanks to everybody for the heads up.

Truth in Labeling

Well, goodness sake, everybody knew he was out of his mind, including those who know him best.

The Republican National Committee was secretly purchasing facemarks and hiding it on their FEC filings as “building maintenance.”

  • The Republican National Committee in a new federal filing this week said it spent $14,000 on “building maintenance.” In reality, it was disguising a purchase of face masks.

They ordered these mask while Trump was still galavanting around, having rallies, and encouraging people not to wear masks.

Four companies got orders for masks.  Two of the mask companies are in Texas and one is a place I drive by at least weekly.

It’s perfectly legal to hide political expenditures this way.  You don’t want the other team to find out exactly what you’re spending money on.  However, in this case, they were more likely to be hiding it from their own damn coach.

Trump Taketh … And Keepeth For Himself

July 25, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

House Republicans in safe seats recently contributed to the president’s reelection, making donations of tens of thousands of dollars at the request of his campaign.

At the request of Trump campaign officials, McCarthy and other senior Republicans in late May asked GOP lawmakers in safe seats to donate the maximum amount to Trump’s campaign from their committees and leadership PACs. Dozens followed through although the ask is unusual.

It is unclear why House Republicans asked their members to give to the Trump campaign amid their own financial struggle. Some took it as McCarthy trying to show he was a team player.

“Whenever the big man asks you to do it, you do it,” said one House Republican aide who was asked to contribute to the Trump campaign. “My question was: Do they really need the money? . . . Probably not. I took it as a show of force, a show of support and solidarity.”

Actually, since the beginning of May the Trump campaign has received almost $500,000 from congressional campaign committees and leadership PACs.

But when House Republicans asked the Trump campaign for financial support for their most endangered members, Trump told them they were on their own.

Senior House Republicans, meanwhile, have been privately panicked about the shortfall, which also extends to their campaign committee. The Democratic campaign committee has $94 million on hand while the GOP has $61 million — a $33 million cash advantage 100 days to the election.

Kevin McCarthy had been nagging and pleading with the Republican National Committee to write a check to the National Republican Congressional Committee.  McCarthy even asked Jared Kushner for help.

But Kushner, who oversees such decisions and has a greater say than RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, has refused thus far, the officials say. While the Trump campaign and the RNC have brought in record amounts of money, some Trump officials see donating to the House as a wasteful investment as the GOP’s chances of reclaiming the majority sharply deteriorate. Their decline in fortunes can largely be attributed to Trump’s sagging support over his handling of the coronavirus pandemic and the sliding economy.

Thanks for all the money . . .  suckers!

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.
