Frickin’ Hypocrite

And he’s still not apologizing.

A Christian non-profit, Bread for the World, has asked Ted Yoho for his resignation.

Bread for the World announced Yoho’s resignation in a statement on Saturday, saying that his “recent actions and words as reported in the media are not reflective of the ethical standards expected of members of our Board of Directors.”

Yeah, and he’s not allowed to eat at Chick-fil-A ever again.

You know, his apology was that he did it because, “I cannot apologize for my passion or for loving my God, my family and my country.”

Ya know, you can scratch off God and Country, so send Ted Yahoo home to his family.

Thanks to all y’all for the heads up.

    Seen on Tumblr:

    Yoho, Yoho
    An asshole’s life for me

I think it’s fair to say that any corporation which allows their employees to refer to each other in such a manner are screwed up. I’m curious about the censure track, and whether Rep. Yoho will apologize to his daughters when it’s proven he is sexist as well as profane…

  3. Ted has taken the Lord’s name in vain. There’s an eternal penalty for that.

  4. “I cannot apologize for my passion or for loving my God, my family and my country.”

I think it’s fine if he picks any one of the three:

My God – join a monastery, preferably one with a vow of silence
My family: the always acceptable “spend more time with…”
My country: if family time doesn’t work out, there’s always “we took daddy to live on a nice farm in the country, he’ll be happier there.”

It was only a fe days ago that I was pointing out that Gohmert wasn’t the dumbest cluck in the Congress. Do y’all believe me now?

  6. Make no mistake. In Yoho’s and his cronies’ minds he did nothing wrong. If that b****h had known her place and not pissed him off this wouldn’t have happened.

when you think of Yoho, think of The Villages. Chill running down the back. Last time he won by 15%

Those on the religious right, like Pence, Pompeo, Barr (and a bunch in Congress) will certainly see nothing wrong with what he says or lies about. Reminds me of another liar- the big liar running the country (into the ground). Both are yahoos of the worst kind.

Oh, no! Not home to his family! Seriously, they don’t deserve to have him sent back to them. He used them as props and as cover for his actions. And, if his words to AOC are any indication, that’s all he thinks of them as.

    9
  10. Twocrows, you said it. This is just another loudmouth who actually thinks of his family as an appendage. And there a millions like him. No matter what you do, they will never see the light. And the rest of us end up feeling sorry for his family.

weakgrip @7 Yoho does not represent The Villages. His district is centered on Gainesville (U. of Florida) whose shoe-wearing voters are waaay outnumbered by the watermelon farmers of Alachua and surrounding counties. Yoho’s part of Florida is spiritually Georgia; all crackers.
