Well, That Fits…

July 12, 2019 By: El Jefe Category: Alternative Facts, Trump

Trump is now saying that he’s eager to fire Dan Coats, the Director of National Intelligence, then eliminate the position altogether.  That fits, right?  Because if there is one word that doesn’t describe Trump, it’s intelligence.

As with everything Donnie this ‘firing’ of the DNI is not to be trusted. Did Dan Coats already tender his resignation, so IQ4.5 is doing a postdated “you’re fired”? Or, is this merely some late petty vengeance for the Coats interview with Andrea Mitchell at the Aspen Security Forum. Option 3, all part of Donnie’s systematic dismantling of government. When the st00pid burns with this maladministration, all of the above is the answer.

The Gulf Coast is not the only place sandbags are being stacked. As I said a little while ago 20+ vacancies or “acting” positions.

Monster is actually campaigning or stroking his base. He just allowed Alt right wingnuts (Gorka) to graze on the WH lawn and try to pick fights with reporters in the social media kabuki terrorism cotillion. (Watch Gorka charge like a starving bear.)

Barr, for his part, threw Monster under the bus by casting the SC as an inviolate institution not to be trifled with, either by executive order or above the law fantasy.

Need a sandbag wall around my desk!

  3. America shouldn’t eliminate the Director of National Intelligence, we should add Manager of Stable Genius under the umbrella organization.

Maybe call it Assistant Manager Of Stable Genius, so Trump will still think he’s in charge.

    3
  4. I was about to say “what makes him think” then I realized how silly that is. Booting Dan Coates won’t work. He may find another howling pack of lawyers after him if he even tries. Also, there’s the assistant director and all the minions below him. You can’t get rid of one without all the others taking a dive. An over large “clearance sale” could turn into a “fire” sale in the Oval Office.

The long clammy paw of Putin reaches up Dear Leader Donnei’s ass yet again, and the pusillanimous puppet pukes out some more treasonous palaver.

Who benefits from ditching the DNI?
‘Cui bono?’ has to be asked of every damned thing emanating from this traitorous, corrupt regime, no matter how small an issue.
Does the Democratic Party even have a coherent ‘rapid response’ counterattack group to combat this daily crapfest?

I’m starting to think that Nancy Pelosi’s drawn out impeachment slow-walk 10-dimension chess strategy just ain’t cutting it. The nation just can’t take much more of this rolling weekly shitshow.

Sandridge. Totally agreement. It’s hammer time for Speaker Pelosi. Let the Progressive Dogs out to scare the hell out of Donnie and the Cons. Now. There’s the proverbial “window of opportunity” and anything past this August to start impeachment proceedings may be too late. There are way too many slow learners in this country as proven by 8 years of Dubya, then the WTF election of IQ4.5. More than a year will be needed to educate the slow learners.

Crap. Have already heard a chorus of Amy McGrath isn’t ‘pure’ enough a Democrat. This is trench warfare, so any D than can beat Old Scratch McConnell is good enough for me. Desperate times even have me hating on Joe Manchin a little less these days. Let’s take out the Cons. Plenty of time to worry about cleaning up the Ds after retaking the Senate.

Kirsten Gillibrand was a pleasant surprise explaining white privilege to the deliberately ignorant: “Your son won’t likely go to jail for smoking a joint with his girlfriend, because he’s white. The Black or brown kid will. THAT’S white privilege.”

    Jane & PKM @6,
Eggzacly, the large ‘pissant purity brigade’ of prissy Dem party pussies just never ‘get it’. They’d rather go down in flames with their panties immaculately clean than get splattered with a little of the muck of reality.

Those ones who cannot comprehend that that designation “D” alone counts and carries a lot of constitutional political weight, outside of how ‘pure’ an individual pol may act at times.
It is simply the raw “number” of D’s or R’s in each Congressional house [or statehouse], whichever party has the higher number RULES!, period.
So the Repukes maintain their ‘purity’ much better than the Ds. So what, if the Dems hold and/or increase their numbers in the House, and critically take a majority in the Senate, they RULE [even if RAT45 rolls on with Putin’s help].
Then, afterwards, the Ds can apply whatever pressure needed to ‘encourage’ a bit more party purity on those impure DINO’s that are still a D.
    .
There’s one in particular around here that likes to rag on about my damned SOB Rep. Cuellar. Yeah, he may be an SOB, but he’s a “D” SOB [and he has a bulletproof seat based in Laredo]!
If the ‘numbers’ were close enough, that one stinkin’ D seat could determine who is the Speaker, who chairs all the committees, who sets the agenda, etcetc.
For now, a focking mangy cur dawg, with a D tag on his scrawny neck, gets my vote.
Besides, some of these incumbent non-pure Ds will clean up their act if we have a Democratic wave in 2020, they can be rehabilitated or replaced later.

It seems Trump’s replacement for Dan Coates is Fred Fleitz, author of Obamabomb which claims to reveal the national security fraud which blamed the Russians. This nutjob says the Russians were not involved in meddling in our election and all our security agencies were “rigged”.

  13. Random memory on the eve of a new set of Palmer Raids.
Back when tricky dick invaded Cambodia I was living in the district and had -by random chance- access to a college news service with teletypes and a brand new expensive “fax” type machine, or so my memory recalls could be wrong.
But needless to say that environment was a hotbed of paranoia and conspiracy theory’s.
2 that have stuck in my mind were
    1) That the invasion was a pretext to ignite domestic unrest before it got fully organized and focused. Not an agente provocateur but along those lines.
I fear these raids are purposely provocative.
Considering time, trouble, costs etc this is the dumbest idea ever. In terms of shoving a stick in to an anthill it’s pretty damn smart. Maybe he will ask putin for assistance in bringing order to the west coast.

    2) The other item was at the time what became obvious in watching news feed etc was that the country had been divided into 6 or 8 regions and the only “news” reported was “local” national news got short shift. The suggested logic was that the powers to be wanted to limit knowledge how how widespread and dramatic the protests were.
Already I see how it is difficult to see – as an example-, much less appreciate, the ongoing Mississippi floods, if one lives outside the basin. Other events and movements are lost. i.e. What is happening with Flint Lawsuits/prosecutions? The number explodes expotentially.
Even on the internet with the increased number of paid only sites and the increasing syndication ( like Catalonia) of those that remain news, hard news not opinion, is hard to find.
Limiting environmental disaster news to limit interest in the environmental disaster we are in.
Oh well just random memory’s as we face dark times.

Rick, “Assistant Manager Of Stable Genius” is terrifying, as I have already encountered (online) people who describe Melania Trump as a “government official”. Just imagine the lineup of other “government officials” Trump could appoint to fill in his job, ivanka, Jared, Dumb and Dumber …

  17. with all of the stupidness it is mind boggling why the right wing steeple people still support this SOB….

“Those ones who cannot comprehend that that designation “D” alone counts”
oh you mean that D associated with lierman who helped delay and attempted sabotage of Obama’s agenda.
Or the D associated with Phil Graham before he helped shiv the Clinton agenda.
Or the D behind the speaker of the Texas house who endorsed the twit in 2000.
Or the D associated with strom thurmond before the boy mayor of Minneapolis read him out of the party.
Or the d associated with the klan before FDR bounced them
Or those with a D from the traitor states who obstructed and undercut d administrations in the name of white supremecy for decades until nixon when the just changed labels and continued on their merry racist way.
The R’s understand that it is worth a few (relative) penny’s to subsidize some quislings like cuellar and lipinski just so as to hobble the d’s and present them as being incapable of governing.
Not to mention the r’s have a few puppets they can order to give them “bipartisan” cred.
If the only importance was having a d we would still have a D party opposed to civil rights, cheering “states rights”, absolutely public no health care and leaders whose only ability would be to grovel for crumbs from the thuglican table.
    Ok
Nancy wants peace here is an offer.
    1) Rep. Jayapal becomes next speaker.
    2) Only progressives appointed/elected as officials of the DCCC, DNC and DSCC
    3) Progressives chose who becomes Committee chairs in next congress.
    4) Bustos is refused any D support in next election while the DCCC recruits and supports a primary challenger.
Remember the Progressive caucus is the largest caucus in the house d’s(90 members at last count) yet nancy feels compelled to grovel at the feet of the thuglicrat blue dog/new d’s/problem solvers surrender caucuses.
This is how one loses elections.
First they sell out any principles just for the sake of personal advancement then they disparage those that got them there ( Never remembering Ms. Ivin’s exhortation to dance with them that brought you) then they blame those who stick to their principles for the argument because they are revealing the sell outs that the “moderates” are.
So no just having a d while voting R and supporting R agenda while actively working inside the d caucus to discourage and alienate d voters is not acceptable. these d’s need to be flushed as soon as possible and exposed for the sell outs they are.
This is not purity but plain politics.
If you won’t fight for the issues that your constituency wants while undercutting those that do do NOT be surprised if those voters don’t show up again.
You don’t fight for us we won’t work for you.
Amazing these who warn against the “purity angels” never realize that the R’s never worry about being to much of a nutcase and still get re elected while the d’s keep pushing thuglicrats, thuglican lites, empty suits and self serving puppets and then wondering why they lose. But that is irrelevent as long as they can disparage those who are fighting for a progressive agenda while defending those paid for puppets of thuglican paymasters.

    18
  19. We can not blame the last election on the Repugnuts.

Polls have shown that about 43% of the electorate identify with the repugnant party.

Trump was elected by stupid Democrats and need I say looney Independents that had been reliably voting Democratic!

    19
  20. Part of reason ( plethora of reasons russians, voter suppression, questionable voting/tabulating machines/software etc) that contributed to d’s failure in ’16 was bad candinates.
Senate candinate grimes ( who was foisted upon voters after a progressive was shoved out of the race) wouldn’t even say whether she had voted for Obama, how many newly relabled thuglicans ( rahm’s and the dccc’s favorite type of candinate) who carried their vileness with them whn they changed sides for nothing but personal gain and a leader who treated the election as more of a coronation then a competition.
If one does not give voters a reason to vote they won’t.
Plus the voters will almost always choose a real thuglican then a wannabe thuglican running as a d. The exceptions are cases where the thuglicans wish to support and sustain some boll weevils insid the d caucas i.e. cuellar, lipinski. That way they can claim a bi partisan support for their agenda of evil.
