The Washington Post reports that the FBI “has seized more than 100 recordings that Michael Cohen made of his conversations with people discussing matters that could relate to Trump and his businesses and with Trump himself talking.”

Good Lord, Cohen made more recordings than Steely Dan.

I have been chatting it over with Thelma and we have decided that the worst job in the world definitely is the guy who has to listen to all those tapes.  I mean, it’d be like listening to the intellectual poundage of free beer night over at the bowling alley.

And then Thelma found this, so I decided to tell you about it.

Former Tea Party Republican Congressman from Texas, Steve Stockman, was indicted last year on 28 counts.

The charges included mail and wire fraud, conspiracy, making false statements to the Federal Election Commission and money laundering, the Justice Department said in a statement.

Mr. Stockman, a Republican, solicited $1.25 million in charitable donations from May 2010 to October 2014 that was later used for other purposes, the Justice Department said.

And then this year, he was tried and convicted of 23 of those counts – all felonies.

He’s a mess.  He would have stole the gold out of his grandmother’s teeth if she would have sit still for it.  His campaign headquarters was in a former motorcycle shop where city officials found 14 fire code violations and no permit. He had put up bunk beds in it and his “staff” was living there.  It was filthy.

The felony counts should result in several decades in prison.

His sentencing was just postponed to complete a PSI (pre-sentence investigation).

Yeah, the day election.

Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen believes that after the PSI, Stockman will be in prison so long that he’ll never get out until the mortuary is called.

Honey, I have caught fish and accidentally let them slip off on the fishing pier. None of them flipped and flopped as such as Trump, but they were about as slippery and slimy and hard to catch as Trump.

Apparently, once discovering that tariffs are a tax and there’s not enough money to buy off farmers, it turns out that the EU is perfectly fine.

I tried to watch the Pompeo hearing but, honestly, I threw all the couch pillows at the teevee so it was too uncomfortable to continue to sit there.

Texas Senator John Cornyn wants you to forget that Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s life began before 2008.

This is just seeping Trumpism and Republican denial of reality.

Democrats are demanding to see the records of Kavanaugh’s entire tenure in the Bush White House. Republicans don’t want you to see it.  However …

Based on the standard set during the confirmation process for Justice Elena Kagan, who served in the White House Counsel’s Office under President Bill Clinton, McGahn told senators that Kavanaugh’s documents from his time in the counsel’s office would, too, be relevant, according to the official.

As they say, what’s good for the Kegan is good for Kavanaugh.

Now, I’m not saying there was any hanky-panky that happened under the expert guidance of President Bush, but …. oh wait, that is exactly what I’m saying.

What manner of shenanigans did Kavanaugh do while serving under Bush? And, why does John Cornyn want to cover it up?  Cornyn wants us to forget it ever happened.

Look, I wasn’t born yesterday. However, it appears that Kavanaugh was.
