Dan Crenshaw In Hiding

March 09, 2021 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Teas Republican Congresssquirt Dan Crenshaw, has taken his sanctimonious self to the stock market in double violation of congressional rules.

Crenshaw showed no interest in the stock market his first year in congress, but all that changed when his fellow Republicans showed him how to do a little insider trading.  He up and made six stock purchases.

Five of those purchases came in the three days between March 25 and 27, as the Senate and House voted on the CARES Act and former President Trump signed it into law. Crenshaw, who supported the bill, did not initially disclose the transactions, in violation of the STOCK Act, a law that requires members of Congress to tell the public when they engage in securities trades. Months later he amended his records to reflect the purchases.

Crenshaw’s buys didn’t fall into the monetary field of Kelly Loeffler or David Perdue, but it just looked odd since there was no record of him buying stock before, coupled with the fact that it was during a crisis when he should have been paying attention to the crisis and not his stock portfolio, and – here’s the biggie – he failed to report the buys on two separate occasions and all that is what made the whole thing look hinkey.

As to the STOCK Act:  Crenshaw bought the stock in March and did not report it until August.  He had two opportunities to disclose it before then, but you’ll recall that’s when other congresspeople reported their stock buying and selling and got chastised for it.

Ole brave Dan just laid low.  He thought we’d forget because he thinks we’re all dumb.  Y’all, I admit it – this guy is a jerk and I don’t like him and always will. I’d rather share a night in a burlap bag with a bobcat than spend an hour in the same room with Cringeshaw.

I’m Innocent, Louie Did It

Okay, if you’re Marjorie Taylor Greene you probably don’t need help to screw things up. It’s highly likely you can do that on our own.

But if you’re Louie Gohmert, you have stoopid to share – plenty go around for everybody to enjoy.

So, when Louie gave a donation to Marjorie Greene in his own name to make it look like the money came from him personally instead of his campaign account, MTG reported it as a personal contribution. Then she had to file a correction, and she made sure the FEC knew it was Louie’s fault, not hers.

Louie is always there to help.

They Don’t Play Nice

March 08, 2021 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Interesting fact:

You cannot give them a little and expect them to give a little back.  You cannot negotiate with them. You cannot reason with them.  Hungry children are not a priority as long as it’s not their kids. Their kids go to Cancun. They would rather die from Covid than give the Dems a “win.”

They have become Donald Trump.  Don’t try to make nice with them. They don’t know nice.

Oh, Y’all

Donald Trump, Jr. is outraged and mad and appalled and, well, if I had a thesaurus I could tell you more words, but the story goes like this.

The former Washington Redskins football team changed their name. So far, they are named The Washington Team, which is kinda catchy.

So they went on Twitter and announced some coming attractions.  This is where they announced that  they will replace cheerleaders with a coed “dance team.”

So, along comes Donald Trump, Jr. and he’s acting like a popcorn popper with the lid off.  He says he’s concerned all to hell and back over the “lack of decency” for the cheerleaders to learn on Twitter that they are being fired.

Decency.  The boy child wants to talk about decency.

Trump Jr.’s father announced numerous administration employees’ dismissals on Twitter during his four years in the White House, without notifying them personally prior to alerting social media. Former Defense Secretary Mark Esper, White House counsel Don McGahn, DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Director Christopher Krebs, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, Chief of Staff Reince Preibus, Department of Veteran Affairs Secretary David Shulkin, and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson were each fired in this way.

Yeah, but cheerleaders are whole different class of people.

I guess that Trump firing them on Twitter was more decent than grabbing them by the you know what.

Decency – that word even oozing out of his mouth …

When The Last Teardrop Falls

March 08, 2021 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

The Supreme Court has ended the Trump lawsuit appeal chances.

The Supreme Court on Monday denied a bid by former President Trump to nullify his electoral loss in Wisconsin, rejecting the former president’s final pending appeal over the results of the 2020 election.

Wisconsin expanded absentee voting due to the pandemic. Trump took it to court and even his own Supreme Court refused to hear it.

But, that does’t mean that States aren’t going to try to help Trump.  Georgia, for example, is going to try to destroy no excuse absentee voting.

In 2005, Georgia Republicans passed a bill expanding voting rights to include no-excuse absentee voting. Republicans heavily supported it until Democrats started using it. Now, Republicans don’t want anyone to use it.

There’s also some bills being introduced in Texas cutting back on voting rights, but just those that Democrats use.

And speaking of Texas – here’s one that won’t wait ’till Friday.

We Need More Headlines Like This

Here ya go —

Seriously, they were protesting across the country, but the one in Raleigh, North Carolina, had a guy who hauled off and shot himself in the leg.

He’s going to be charged with possession of a firearm at a protest. Apparently the fine is $10 and a couple of hours pulling weeds at the DA’s favorite golf course.

“[Police officers] acted like everything was fine and normal,” explained volunteer coordinator Kelsea McLain. “We are genuinely confused and concerned why the protest was allowed to continue uninterrupted. We are now at the point where we are very concerned RPD will do nothing to de-escalate and bring safety to the clinic until a patient or a volunteer or staff member is shot.”

I guess nobody asked him if he’s pro-life, why’s he carrying a gun?

Thanks to Carl for the heads up.
