UPDATE: Okay, we’ve got it covered and added 10 more bigger counties to the list. I want to pay for Brewster County – the largest county in Texas and where my heart lives part time – at $278. so if you want to donate a little toward that, we’ll take it. Brewster County flipped blue 2 years ago and I’m convinced we were part of that. We will leave this up though Monday and then it’s gone until the next election two years from now. Jump on your chance to be part of something big in Texas.
Okey Dokey, it’s that time of year.
One of the most successful Democratic programs we have in Texas is ballot by mail for seniors and you guys have always been a major part of it.
I’m asking you to donate to send a ballot by mail application to Democrats over the age of 65 in small Texas counties where the county party can’t afford or isn’t organized enough to mail applications on their own. We cannot flip Texas without help in the rural counties.
Plus, if you go look at my beg for help, you’ll get a special treat this of seeing Glen Maxey’s housebound evolution into Farmer and Chicken Herder Glen.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
CLICK THE DONATE BOX UNDER THE HEADER AT THE TOP. OR HERE.
Just donated, Ms JJ. Thanks for the opportunity to help!
1Donated. Happy to help turn Texas blue.
2A legit third party company ent out applications for absentee ballots along with a pre-adressed post paid envelope WITH THE WRONG RETURN ADDRESS. I wonder aobut these people!
3Done!
4I’m a Californian, but I donated because turning Texas blue would be SWEET!
5@maggie #3, I got one today. I live in Fairfax *County*, Virginia and the return address was for Fairfax *City*!
The envelopes, letter and application had a union bug, so I’m guessing they lean towards the Democrats? But, boy howdy, they didn’t do their homework or they outsourced it to some damnfool Republican company!
6Malarkey, in my area there is a community “blog” and it was lit up like the candles on a centenarian’s birthday cake. I checked this thing out with Fairfax County’s Election/Registration Office and they said it was legit and it came from a third party organization. In this digital age it was a version of Get Out the Vote and my guess is that it went to everyone in the area over the age of 60!Thats very important to understand. I did get the proper address from the Fairfax County office and sent the application in to the office since they said they would accept it. I decided to do this in order to cover myself from the virus and the possibility of nasty November weather. If I don’t receive a maill in BALLOT at the right time I can always get my sorry self to the polls, even if it means a risk.
7As the Texan-in-Exile of my family, please use my donation for Hudspeth County, where I have relatives. I’m actually from Tom Green County, but I looked up the voter registrations there and I’m sure THE Democrat there can fend for himself/herself. Ugh. Times sure have changed.
8Just donated. Seeing that I am now unemployed put me down for processing too!
9Lynne Stevens here supporting Lynn and Stephens, naturally.
10I’ve also put some spondulix down, but ask JJ and Glen Maxey to figure out what county or mix of counties will do the most good. My knowledge of Texas politics sorta stopped updating in 1981, when I left the place.
11Put my donation wherever you need it; I’m sure you’ll use it wisely.
12I donated enough for Archer County. I have old connections with Archer City, visiting there for much of my childhood. We had friends that my parents met during WWII. I’ve ridden in the rodeo parade (horse), the July 4th parade (Model A Ford), been to the movie at The Last Picture Show, as well as spent time with the original of the Jacy character, who didn’t look at all like Cybill Shepherd. So if I could have Archer County I would appreciate it.
13Thanks!
Contrast with my state, I got a postcard from the secretary of state asking me if I wanted a mail ballot. They even paid the postage on the return card. As for those that mutter about the dead getting ballots, my wife who passed about a month before they sent it, didn’t get one, they had already removed her from the roll.
Anyhow, I chipped in, tho I didn’t see an adoption for a county, not that I knew enough about Texas geography to pick.
14Donation sent for Madison County to help counter an ex gfs reptilian family’s efforts supporting the dark side behind the Pine Curtain.
15I’m in
@ Surly Professor: “spondulix”? Are you a fan of Sebastian Tombs?
16Sent a donation your way and one off to Ben Wickler and the Wisconsin Dems. I’m thinking the two groups can get in some good trouble!
17I would like Loving, Roberts & Borden if available, put balance wherever needed.

@RepubAnon,
I don’t know if HE got it from the Saint, but “spondulix” for money was a term used by my father and his friends some 50 years back so maybe it was common UK slang then.
19And Wikipedia agrees :-).
20RepubAnon and ozajh: I picked it up from Huckleberry Finn (spelled spondulicks there). It was the first word I ever read that Webster did not have, which required a trip to the multi-volume Oxford English Dictionary.
And now I’m delighted to see that wikipedia has it. Thanks, ozajh!
21Just took care of Live Oak, Delta and Loving (in honor of my employer, Jeff Bezos).
22Keep up the good work!
Just donated, please use it where you see fit. Thank you for the work you do.
23A little bit from WA state, where everyone gets a mail in ballot (and postage paid envelope). I wish it was nationwide, as long as we have a functioning Post Office.
24Louis DeJoy pulled a Friday night shuffle at the Post Office and seems inclined to institute all the damage he can. There may be a need to establish drop boxes at the polling stations for the formerly “mail in” ballots along with people trained to certify the counts. Our free and fair election may necessitate a number of counter moves to negate the rat soaping by this criminal maladministration. If done correctly, the Republicons can shoot themselves and their voters in the foot, while we have a Democratic election.
25Mark off Motley, Baylor (Sic em Bears) and Bailey with $30 left over to use where needed. Thanks for all your effort to turn Texas blue.
26Wow, the customers of the WMDBS are awesome!
