Yeah, And Why Doesn’t President Obama Just Let Him Write It?
Ted Cruz announced today what he wants in the President’s speech tonight.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Monday called on President Obama to use his State of the Union address on Tuesday to answer questions about the 2012 attack that killed four U.S. officials in Benghazi, Libya, as well as other issues like IRS targeting and ObamaCare.

5Well, Obama could mention Benghazi, but I suspect that 80% of listeners would have no idea what he was talking about. This isn’t really a big issue with sane people. Also, it is history.
Obama probably won’t mention IRS targeting because there was none. The IRS investigated suspicious groups of all political persuasions and was right to do so.
As for ObamaCare, I do hope that Obama mention that it’s been fixed (when there’s a problem, Dems fix government; Repubs try to destroy it) and is doing well now, having provided millions of citizens with health coverage.

Maybe in 2014 the GOP will run a Fundie prophetic “great leader” i.e. Ted. I read that Ted’s Dad told little Ted every day that God had destined him for greatness.
The GOP might have better luck with a Prez candidate who is not depending on divine intervention.

9Cruz has invited the father of one of the marines killed in Benghazi to attend the State of the Union address. What an exploitation of that man’s sadness. This sleazeball has no shame.
I just can’t get my head around the stupidity of the GOP politicians lately! I’m sure no one will ask where Kathy McMorris Rodger’s 4 month old child is while she is giving the GOP response to the State of Union Address. After all, she is not anything like Wendy Davis, you know, a woman with kids who should be home taking care of them! What a bunch of stupid repubs!
