Why, Oh Why, Do They Keep Vying For Louie Gohmert’s Place

June 25, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I gotta tell ya – it’s hard to be the goofiest congressman in Texas.  That ain’t no easy job what with all the competition and whatnot.

For example, Texas Republican Congressman Michael Burgess sleeps very well at night knowing that what I see as a crime against humanity is merely children acting of their own free will.

He said this (and stand back Louie, because these words might explode at any minute).

Michael Burgess (R-Texas) on Monday said that migrant children at a facility in Texas are “free to leave at any time” but don’t because they are receiving good care.

“There’s not a lock on the door,” the lawmaker said while defending the conditions at a facility he visited. “Any child is free to leave at any time. But they don’t and you know why? Because they’re well taken care of and yes at some point they are going to live with family, generally not mother or father but some family member, that’s a good thing.”

He was damn serious. The doors aren’t locked? What the hell is that? Three year olds can just walk out and go get a job?

Burgess, there’s a real special place in hell for you.

GAAAHHHH!! – I hate this guy so much!

He keeps showing up on Chris Hayes’ show – probably because he’s the only Texas Republican that they can book. And with his fatuous Favorite Uncle face and jovial manner, he spews the most toxic streams of lies this side of KellyAnne.

It was especially bad last night, when Hayes was trying to get him to admit that maybe the kids in cages weren’t being treated so well. In his attempts to defend the indefensible, Burgess gave 4 or 5 different narratives, every one chock full of untruth and BS. This right after an interview with a lawyer who’d been inside the Clint, TX facility, and gave an appalling, heartbreaking description of the children she’d interviewed.

I was swearing a blue streak the entire time Burgess was on, and furiously Tweeting after. It’s a good thing I don’t have high blood pressure; I’d be dead by now.

This guy is an MD, for God’s sake. So I guess breaking oaths – Hippocratic or Constitutional – is pretty commonplace for him.

    Human slime.

“All I know is I’ve gotta go and look for myself and see for myself.”

Maybe you’ll get a few thousand emailed images of “Saturn eating her children” to plant the proper imagery in your Cro-Magnon skull after you see for yourself.

I would love to see the look on this guys face if you responded with: “Just like most preschools”…

  5. Just a reminder, this is the medical expert who referred to fetal pain and pleasure when commenting on abortion topics. Specifically, he seems to be referring to fetal maturation. Check his Wikipedia entry.

This area of Texas also produced Jodie Laubenberg…there is something really strange about this area of North Dallas…

  6. Not “maturation”….the other word that my iPad doesn’t seem to want to type on…

  7. Wonder why reporters with camera crews and congressmen cannot enter those unlocked doors as easily as the kids could leave?

  8. Dear Michael Burgess,
I would like to adopt some of the children who are “free to leave at any time.”

Am I free to pick them up at the unlocked door? During regular business hours, or any time? Please let me know.

  9. Burgess is a doctor? Whoever licenses in Texas has low standards.

This is like when Abbott said, a few years ago, that if we wanted to know what chemicals are being made/stored on a property all we have to do is go ask!

  11. let’s not forget the horrible, mentally diseased/deficient “people” that voted for this consummate asshole. they too deserve their very own circle of hell.

I heard the boorish clown, then watched the Democratic Lady who followed. Did not catch his name, but can tell you he is worse than Gohmert. He went non stop and Chris is such a pathetic little wimp.

You guys got rid of DeLay, have gone on to much worse!

Is there something in the water in Texas? If so they have spread the virus to Ohio.

Thanks for commenting on this idiot’s ranting. Being judged as a person in Louie’s class is pretty low.

The quality level of the Republicans in Texas is scrapping the bottom of the grease barrel.
