All Wound Up and Ready to Holler
Y’all, Donald Trump got himself worked into a lather this morning with a series of tweets meant to scare the people he backed out of bombing just last week.
The statement that got Trump all pissy? Iran called the White House “mentally retarded.” Like that’s the first time somebody said that.
And then there’s an evidentiary standard.
- President Donald Trump in an announcement Monday said the US was imposing sanctions on Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini — who has been dead since 1989.
So, ya know, maybe this was a diagnosis and not an insult. Maybe. Yeah, definitely.
Obliteration? That’s a big word for a little man. And to think that he backed out last week because 150 people would have died.
How much nice and compassion would $1.5 trillion have bought in the United States?
A lot of people got on Cheatolini’s case for backing down (“chicken!”) so now he’s gotta play KingKong. Especially after the Iranians accused him of being mentally defective.
Of course, he is mentally defective, which is why he playing this dangerous game.
Bolton and Stephen Miller are salivating to get this “Wag the Dog” scenario running. Personally, i’d Like to strap the two of them to s9me of the first missles and send them over.

As evidenced by children and cages and lack of clean water, soap and toothbrushes.
His first question before ordering the attack on Iran should have been

That would have been nice and shown some compassion.

4The end times rapture rats are upset with IQ4.5. All their bags were packed, then Donnie cancelled their summer vacation plans. Meanwhile, Bibi is looking a bit green around his gills, after it occurred to him that if the Middle East is bombed into silicates that would include Israel. That catchy tune “bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” comes at a price. Amazing. But this might be the first time reality has entered Bibi’s head. Donnie, Bolton and Pompeo? TBD
Has Mutual Assured Destruction ever been explained in a cartoon format? Something at IQ4.4’s comprehension level. Stat.

This is one of the reasons we can’t have nice things. Our foreign policy is captive to the whims of Donald Trump. We have no reliability or stability in foreign relations (or much of anywhere else), at all. Trump seems to think it’s a positive that nobody has a clue what we’re going to do next, but all it means is that even our allies (what’s left of them) don’t trust us.
The other reason is that our policy toward asylum-seekers is made up entirely of gratuitous cruelty. If the world is looking for bad people, we’re it.

Very interesting, depressing article.
It also had a link to another site that defines and explains Neoliberalism. I’d heard the term many times; but due to the somewhat confusing name, never really understood what it meant. Because economic neoliberalism is pretty much antithetical to social liberalism. Another reason to switch to “Progressive”, I guess. And we really need to find another word for “conservative” which is currently used to represent anything in a big, jumbled bag of misanthropic naysaying.
