When It Rains, It …

Pours.

Sarah Huckybooboo Sanders is leaving the White House at the end of the month to go home to Arkansas to run for Governor just like Good Ole Dad did.

Since she refuses to hold press conferences now, it won’t matter much to have her gone.  You know, except for less whining and sarcasm. If the electorate in Arkansas doesn’t mind having a liar for hire as their governor, she’s got a good chance of winning.

BuhBye.

I don’t think there’s gonna be less whining and sarcasm. Gridley Hogan (a.k.a., Alfred E. “What? Me worry?” Newman has been sharpening his tongue and dulling his wit, just waiting for th8s very moment.

May his tenure be short and vicious.

  2. Sam in St Paul says:

Tom Cotton is their Senator and her dad was governor so Arkansas standards aren’t too high, certainly not what they were when Bill Clinton was elected.

    Gone and forgotten.

  4. Watch the demented one appoint kellyanne so she can have a larger podium from which to violate the law.

  5. Jane & PKM says:

Waiting for all the concern troll Republicons who never fail to warn how every Democratic woman candidate is too shrill, too ‘something’ and lack the likeability factor to be elected to lend their counsel to Sarah Chuck-a-Load Sandbag. Likeability and Sarah. Good luck with that. Cons looking to grab state elections ahead of the next census to work on their gerrymandering.

Any potential Democratic candidates in Arkansas?

    5
  6. Sarah as a politician should reach the like-ability threshold reached by Dick Cheney.

    6
  7. Any Arkansas pol thinking of the Gov’s house should stick the label of “Carpetbagger” on her ASAP.
How long since she actually lived in Arkansas? Not just retained a mailing address.

  8. John in Illinois says:

Wonder if they’ll offer her a job at CNN……..

Good riddance to Miss Condescension. Unfortunately, the thug we need to see escorted out in handcuffs is still there.

    Hey K:
OT– Just for good ol’ “K” or “k”, this should warm the cockles of your wizened ol’ heart:
‘Finally Awful Democrat Rep Henry Cuellar is getting primaried…’.

Now are you [and y’all] going to donate some dinero to Ms. Jessica Cisneros? I am.
Although I doubt that she has a snowball’s chance in hel–Laredo of beating his sorry butt [last few days in Laredo it’s been ~104degF+].

“His seat is one of the most safely Democratic in the nation, but you wouldn’t know it from his voting record.
He’s a worse Democrat than most red-state conservatives, voting with the party only 75% of the time, and on crucial issues, he’s even worse: Cuellar is anti-LGBTQ rights …, anti-abortion rights, takes tons of cash from private prison companies, and fundraises for Republican colleagues.
Long a disgrace, he’s now finally getting a legit primary challenger. Meet Jessica Cisneros, a 26-year-old immigration lawyer who is angling to become “the next AOC,” which, though a reductive label, does help capture her politics and grassroots affiliations, including the fact that she’s backed by the Justice Democrats. ”

“Cisneros grew up in the Sal Si Puedes neighborhood in central Laredo. ”
I know Laredo well enough to know where this is, having worked in Laredo many times.
FYI, those of you who haven’t been there, you needn’t bother, it’s about the hottest, dustiest, most diesel-fume polluted place in the US.

Laredo only made it to 99degF today, but much of STX has been cooled by cloud cover-

Looks like somebody finally started to wonder why they were paying a press secretary who was unable to hold press conferences anymore.

    11
  12. Sandridge says:

Primo Encarnación, Somebody-1 is paying a bunch of non-productive counter-productive grifters like that: Jarvanka [Jared & Ivanka Kushner], Don Jr, Eric, Carson, and dozens of others are on that ol’ gubmint teat with lavish expense accounts and running wild in the background. It’s hard to keep up on the ‘minor’ crap with all the more obvious shit that flies around all day every day with this SOBOTUS.

    12
  13. Sandridge says:

oops, PS: Scarah just reached her ‘sell-by date’ in DC and sees a plum griftunity in a state full of low info hicks.

  14. Teh Gerg says:

I can see the campaign sign Democrats should put up when/if she runs: a picture of SHS wearing massively flaming pants with the caption, “How can Arkansas trust a professional liar as governor?”

  15. slipstream says:

Why does the Gulf of Oman incident remind me of the Gulf of Tonkin incident?

Why does the Trump White House remind me of the Nixon White House?

    15
  16. Trumps tweet began:

“After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House…”

I guess it seemed like a long time for everyone, considering he hasn’t been prez for 2 1/2 years yet. And Sarah wasn’t even the first press secretary.

    16
  17. If you get divorced in Arkansas are you still cousins?

    17
  18. “I won’t believe she’s actually leaving until I hear her denial from her own lips”…Wish I had thought of this first.

    18
  19. I almost hope she does get elected as governor of Arkansas. Then they would have a bigger liar as governor than we do here in Texas.

  20. Buttermilk Sky says:

After she moves to Arkansas, at least she’ll be able to get a table at a restaurant. Probably Applebee’s, but still.

  21. AlanInAustin ... says:

Is Sarah’s departure proof that “thoughts & prayers” really do work?

    21
  22. Lunargent says:

Sarah does realize that if she became the governor, she’d actually have to show up, and maybe even do some work, right?

Not a lot of work. Hell, even Rick Perry was a guv – twice. But more than she’s accustomed to. No more blowing it off for 3 months at a time. Even with Daddy with his hand up ger back, using her like a ventriloquist’s dummy, she’d still have to show up pretty frequently. Not sure the poor lamb’s up to it.

    22
  23. Coprolite says:

“…she’s got a good chance of winning.”

The is sad, and I blame it all on Sarah Palin. The Sarahs have made dumb appealing, along while the Gohmerts, Cruzes and Blackburns of the Republican Party. Our Don Young is certainly no alter boy.
