Trump said again today — yes, Wednesday July 1 — that the virus is going to just disappear.

Good gawd. He’s stupider than the contents of a cesspool.

  2. Steve from Beaverton says:

Yes, every day something stupider than the day before. Often several a day. The phrase “ugly American” has sadly become how the world thinks of us.

  3. We’ll know when things have gotten really bad when Mexico decides the wall is a good idea, they build it, and happily pay for it. Then – Canada decides hey that IS a good idea!!!

  4. The border is supposed to open July 21.
    I wonder if it will.
I was worried about an open border and our proximity to Montreal, I bet they are worried more about Americans entering Canada.

Stay safe everyone, this is not over.

I’m losing count, but a couple more stupid things from the “leader of the free world” wannabe’s mouth just today:
Makes a joke about wearing a mask- he looks pretty good in a mask, a black one. Not because it’s the right thing to lead on, but a joke. Guess it contrasts well with orange.
Also, NY mayor authorizing a Black Lives Matter painting on Trumpfs beloved 5th Ave denigrates this “luxurious “ neighborhood.
    Yup, THE ugliest American.

  6. BarbinDC says:

Reminds me of the ancient Mexican lament: Mexico: So far from God; so close to the United States.

    7
  7. Another day, another stupid:

President Trump told Fox Business Network that the coronavirus was “going to sort of just disappear, I hope.”

    @ 5 Diane

I bet they are worried more about Americans entering Canada.

I think it is more, ”We are terrified“.

About the only thing that could threaten the Liberal Gov’t in Ottawa right now is opening the border.

Some “experts” are talking in terms of a year and discussing the problems of maintaining supply chains both to and from the USA without face-to-face negotiations among businesses.

  9. Canada is or was cutting Alaskans a little slack if we needed to go through Canada to access parts of Alaska or drive to the lower 48. We had restrictions. First it was that we weren’t allowed to stop anywhere for gas, food, motels, etc, but bring our own, sleep in our vehicles and get through quickly. Then they were kinder and said we could stop for essentials but to minimize our interactions…and get through quickly. People down south found a loophole in that. They could get through the border by lying, then visiting Canada at their leisure (and stupidly bragging about it). Now, God knows what changes they will make, and who can blame them?

  11. Megasold, one of the reasons my family trapped in Bama wants to much to get out of there! With crazy students who want to actually die horribly, who can blame them?

  12. megasoid says:

maggie@ 12 I had recently read that social distancing of 6 feet is not enough. Aerosols can travel 13 feet depending on AC, no AC or number of people around you.

  13. Canadians are considering building a wall and demanding that the US pay for it.
