Manhattan prosecutors were surprised to receive a letter from the second-highest law enforcement official in the country inquiring about Mr. Manafort’s case. The letter, from Jeffrey A. Rosen, Attorney General William P. Barr’s new top deputy, indicated that he was monitoring where Mr. Manafort would be held in New York.
And yesterday, prosecutors heard from federal prison officials telling them that Manafort would not be going to Rikers.
He will either stay in a federal facility in New York or remain in Pennsylvania and be brought back and forth for his hearings.
Maybe he could just stay in Trump Tower. They have room service and everything.
I’m not surprised. It’s a state case, not a Federal case, but tRump and his lackeys to trample all over state’s rights.

2Nope. Nuh-uh. Manafort won’t be staying at Trump Tower. I hear he’s broke these days.
3Very, very suspicious! Then I thunk a thought – – I am betting that Manafort has not spilled everything he knows to the prosecuting attorneys. If he is placed in general with the other cons, there is a chance that he might not come out alive for any number of reasons. At any rate, lets see how this latest White House gambit goes.
4When I heard that Manafort was being sent to Rikers for “solitary” I agreed with most of the LIBERAL blog posts that said he should not be. Nobody should be.
I still agree with that. Supposedly the solitary-designation is that he would not survive with the GP. I wouldn’t know about that but if so he shouldn’t be sent there.
What grinds my gears that hundreds of other detainees are sent there and nobody gives a peep.
5With it being reported that the intelligence community is trying to keep the demented one out of the loop on sensitive intelligence matters, his history of revealing sensitive intelligence data and his boy crush on N. korea one must ask in an attempt to ingratiate himself to his lover Kim did he spill the beans on Kim’s brother being a cia assett thus effectively signing his death warrent?
6This would be a good reason to keep him away from any intelligence matters.
