They called themselves that – you know, like little boys who name their backyard “clubs.”
Ukraine policy was removed from career diplomats and placed in the hands of Rick Perry, Gordon Sondland and Kurt Volker.
George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state responsible for Ukraine, told House investigators he was instructed to “lay low,” focus on the five other countries in his portfolio and defer to Volker, Sondland and Perry — who called themselves the “three amigos” — on matters related to Ukraine,
Well, I guess we all know who got to be El Guapo. I wonder if there was a a plethora of pinatas? (“Well, you just told me that I had a plethora, and I would just like to know if you know what it means to have a plethora. I would not like to think that someone would tell someone else he has a plethora, and then find out that that person has no idea what it means to have a plethora.”) Yep, Rick Perry. Oh hell, it could be any of these three guys.
I dunno. Three guys who are making life and death decisions about little children in Syria probably ought not to call themselves the Three Amigos, characters on the inside of goofy. I guess No Girls Allowed was already taken for a club name.

If Perry give the finger to the subpoena, it’s time to lock up him and all others who ignored a subpoena.
1Papa, that may be why Perry has decide to hang on to his Secretary position. He figures that he can claim executive privilege, and that Trumbo will shield him from those nasty subpoenas. But if he’s just another unemployed schmuck, it would be harder to fight when the U.S. Marshal’s Service comes with the handcuffs to drag him in front of Schiff.
Of course that may be presuming too much brainpower on Perry’s part.

3The Three Stooges is too good a handle for that crew. There’s not a Moe among them.
4I think Sondland is going to start singing, if he hasn’t already. He can ignore Dolt 45’s directive to not cooperate, since he has resigned his position. If Perry refuses to testify, he may well be the one left holding the bag. And, wouldn’t that be appropriate?

Did Perry resign or is he still secretary? He is ignoring the subpoena according to the news.

As far as I know, Perry hasn’t resigned. There was an announcement in the news media that he was leaving office at the end of the year, but Perry came out and said that was not true. I guess we have an inkling about why all the confusion.
I’ll bet Dolt 45 told he that he would get a pardon if he stiffed the Dems in the House and refused to cooperate in the impeachment inquiry. Of course, that would just add another charge to the impeachment. Perry wouldn’t know that, of course. Stupid is as stupid does, you know.

8PS: On that Wiki “pendejo” link, I did a cursory look at the page ‘history log’ to see if I could find out who added that most appropriate picture of the “Pendejas”, but couldn’t find anything obvious.
9If anybody wants to do an exhaustive search, have at it [can be difficult when log entries aren’t properly identified]. Would be nice to know who did it, maybe they’ve done other witty items.
I was concerned that we do not currently have enough prison space for this administration – then I remembered that we have a lot of people in prison for possession of a substance in states where it is currently legal (which makes no sense). If we let them out, we now have enough room.
10I think it was Ari Melber on MSNBC who yesterday was comparing these guys to the 3 Amigos – Steve Martin, Martin Short and Chevy Chase – with IIRC Sondland as Martin, Volker as Short, and Perry as the hapless Chase. Sorry I can’t describe it perfectly but it made me laugh.

13IMO, Perry is the sidekick, not smart enough to spearhead anything. If magat people can call those they disagree “stupid”, then so can I.
