The “Deep State” Suddenly Disappears on Fox News

January 04, 2020 By: El Jefe Category: Iran

Fox News talking heads are now trumpeting the accuracy of US intelligence that Trump claims to have used to justify the killing of the second most powerful member of the Iranian government, and all reference to the “Deep State” has ceased.  The reversal can cause serious whiplash if you’re not careful.  Even Sean Hannity got into the act, saying, “But I will say the big headline is, this is a huge victory for American intelligence, a huge victory for our military, a huge victory for the State Department, and a huge victory and total leadership by the president.”  Hannity has been railing about US intelligence for 3 years calling it the anti-Trump “Deep State”.

NY Times reporter Rukmini Callimachi tweeted earlier today that her sources call the evidence of imminent attacks was “razor thin” and leaves many questions.  Now that Congress is being finally briefed, the truth will come out, and I’ll lay odds that Trump and his enablers are lying about this, too.

  2. Imagine that. Intelligence about a guy who’s deserved to die for decades for his murderous machinations, but hasn’t been killed out of restraint from the BUSH ADMINISTRATION from further destabilizing the region.
Is suddenly killed for what he’s planning.
Right in the middle of the impeachment fight

This is a conundrum for liberals as well. We are supposed to believe 17 intelligence agencies when they say Russia interfered with the elections, although the CIA’s record on, say, the USSR’s economic strength was terrible.

“…all reference to the “Deep State” has ceased. The reversal can cause serious whiplash if you’re not careful.” Thanks to Trump, my head’s on a swivel now, to avoid the backlash risk.

  5. Of course he’s lying! For him lying is an art.

Maggie @5. Oh, Please!! If lying is an art for him he’s practicing at a four year old level. Which, if you think about it, would be about right, since everything else he does is at a bratty four year old level.

Art for toddlers is poster paper with finger paints. Luckily we have no experience at the other end of the age spectrum, yet. But to wag a guess IQ4.5 is in some stage of dementia and smearing his digestive products. The lying is his reflexive instinct like breathing. Meanwhile his maladministration will not discuss the necessity of giving the 25 to the 45, although Donnie is at that PDOC point where competent professionals would be discussing the withholding of hydration and nutrition.

Seriously. They should pull the plug on his toaster before he makes toast of the entire planet.
