That’s Her Story and She’s Sticking To It
It is unclear if she’s an Aggie.
COLLEGE STATION (AP) — Authorities say a Central Texas woman has accidentally shot her husband while trying to kill a skunk in their yard.
The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened Sunday night in the College Station area as the wife fired a handgun.
Sheriff Chris Kirk says the husband was shot in the abdomen. The victim has been transported to a hospital in Houston.
Further information on the man’s condition was not immediately available Monday. Names of the couple have not been released.
Aiming a tad high there, Honey.
Sounds like a perfect country song:
I aimed for a dirty low down skunk
1And shot my husband
That skunk just made me sick sick sick
So I fired til the gun said click click click
Tell the judge I tried to take
The best aim that I can
I aimed for a low down dirty skunk
And shot my man.
Waitin’ on the CD release party, daChipster!
2Also, bet the music vid will be specTACular!
Aiming high? She should’ve aimed lower? Goodness if “hitting below the belt”, just isn’t done, isn’t “shooting below the belt” off limits too? I’m bettin’ she caught him a’layin’.
3Are we sure she didn’t hit the skunk she was aiming for??
4Husband must have been a real stinker.
5Did the skunk and hubby have the same name?
6Since College Station is way too close to me, I feel better already knowing we have armed citizens to protect us from the bad guys.
Or well, not….
7Sounds like she wasn’t shooting to kill, just trying to scare the bejebbers out of her lil’ ol’ skunk. Sounds like she got thru to him ’cause he ain’t letting on that there never was a striped kitty.
8Maybe she was speaking metaphorically.
9Wonder if her name is BettyLouThelmaLynn? (See: http://youtu.be/tOI5H0n28qY)
10This reminds me of a story, told decades ago, by a Waco, Texas DPS polygraph operator about a woman who poisoned her husband’s koolaid. When asked to name her poison, she said it was something she found at the 7-11 that said it would kill rats, and as there was no bigger rat than her husband she bought it. It did the job, proving sometimes there is truth in advertising.
11This story was in the newspapers this morning. The wife, who has a concealed gun permit, was in the yard when she shot at the skunk and missed. Her husband was sitting in the living room at their home. The bullet bounced off a rock, went through the front door of the house and struck the husband in the abdomen. No foul play is suspected. The husband will survive.
12Living near Texas A&M, maybe she (the shooter) was distracted by someone wearing a Longhorns t-shirt?
13Yeah, and they want to let the aggie-garteners carry concealed weapons on campus too-sheesh!
