Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton

September 06, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton is an indicted felon for security fraud who has been postponing his trial for years in a legal dance that that puts the hula to shame.  He even got his wife elected to the Texas legislature and the first damn thing she did was try to change the law that he is accused of violating.  And he flat ass stole somebody’s expensive fountain pen and kept it for 15 months before he got caught.

His wife also wrote a song called, “I am a pistol packing Momma and my husband sues Obama,” and sang it all across the state.  Paxton sued Obama 48 times.  And apparently he did that because he had nothing better to do with his time, like this …

A report out Wednesday by the San Antonio Express-News found that a gun owner in Texas had sent more than 100 pages of racist and violent letters to the Texas Attorney General’s office threatening to kill undocumented immigrants over the course of a year and a half, and that nothing was done to stop him or to communicate the threat to local authorities.

Now Newsweek has found more evidence that Paxton just doesn’t give a big bear’s butt about the things he should care about.

“We will open fire on these thugs,” the white man who allegedly sent the messages wrote in an email to the office. “It will be a bloodbath.”

He didn’t write this to Paxton only once – he did it 100 times and Paxton didn’t think it needed tending to.  Neighbors say the guy has security cameras all around his house and that he often emerged holding a shotgun.

Ya gotta wonder what the fool tarnation Paxton is doing with his time this time.

  1. According to the linked Newsweek article, “Manny Garcia, executive director of the Texas Democratic Party, in a statement.

‘This individual has threatened a mass shooting more than 100 times and emailed Republican lawmakers about his plans. It is absolutely outrageous that this man is allowed to own guns and even more dangerous that Republicans did nothing to stop him. Abbott, Paxton and the Texas Republican establishment continue to do nothing to keep our families safe. This is exactly why Texas needs an emergency special legislative session to combat gun violence and end hate crimes.'”

Um, no. This is exactly why Texans in particular [but actually EVERYONE] need to vote for people who aren’t in the NRA’s pocket.

But hey, what do I know? I’m not a politician.

  2. Channeling St Thomas of Delay, no doubt. The laissez-faire of Texas politics never disappoints. The smirk on his face really says it all.

Its also plastered on certain voters who seemed shocked to find out that their emperor is about to declare Imminent Domain on their backyards with a 30 foot wall.

He’s been spending all that money of course!

Politico ran a story that four state GOP’s will no longer have primaries or caucuses – how long until the TX GOP does that?

Let the GOP carry out its death wish and run Trump and Ivanka for Pres and VP. They might come close but they won’t win and neither will many many GOP critters for public office. IMO

  5. Sounds like a professional courtesy from one gun nut to another. Or one nut to another.

  6. Gee if he had done anything about this he might be expected to do something about the governors fundraiseing letter the day before the El Paso attack by a ammosevual parroting the same lines as the gov.

Paxton, still the darling of the Southern Baptist Church, also uses a state security detail when traveling from Austin to home. The cost in 2015-2016 was $78,000 and I doubt if the crook has stopped this.

  8. When I see that photo, I feel like he’s about to ask if I want to buy one of the Rolodexes he has hidden under his coat.

  9. Is it my old eyes but does his smile actually look crooked, as if he has some kind of neurological thing wrong with one side of his face. And this eyes! Are the pupils reactive or not? In other words what is this guy doing out in public when he should be in a ward somewhere.

    9
  10. AK Lynne @8, Maybe you mean Rolexes* [certainly fake], as in the pricey $wiss watch/chronometers? Hard to fit Rolodexes under a coat I think.
Not that Paxton wouldn’t try stealing anything not nailed down.

    * jomashop.com has Rolex on ‘sale’ for a few more days, 1-20% off, of course they start at ~$10K-$140K, sooo… Jump on it, Rolex don’t get marked down very often.
Wearing one of those suckers is a sure sign amongst the So. Babtiss and ProsperityGospel Talibangelicals that one is fastracked to Hebben.

  11. maggie @9,
Not to worry, that look is the bog standard Republikan ‘shit-eatin’ grin’. Every one of them smirks like that, especially for mugshots or ‘own-the-libs’ appearances.

  12. Yup, that’s what I meant, Sandridge. Pretty funny actually now that you pointed out what I said. Guess you can tell I’m not very familiar with expensive watches.

    12
  13. AK Lynne @12,
I drool over them sometimes, but it’s absurd to pay what a new top-of-line vehicle or even a house [even some airplanes] costs, for a wristwatch. Some Rolex, Breitling, Patek Phillipe watches cost more than the most expensive Tesla EV’s [or Porsche, Merc, Lexus, etc], crazy. Pure ‘image’ marketing.
Mine is an $80 Swiss watch/chronometer that looks great and functions as well as those certified ones [~1 second off/month].

  14. On Republikan scandal and perfidy, here’s an ongoing TX ISD saga that JJ should write about:

In a little, growing, very Anglo, high-end town [now] outside of San Antonio called La Vernia [a few miles up Hwy 87 from Sutherland Springs] there are several school scandals brewing.
La Vernia is, on the surface, a very Republican, straight-laced, church saturated place; the Babtiss and Talibangelicals practically run the place. Underneath the facade though…
The latest scandal has the fairly new school superintendent accused of ‘rubbing’ a HS cheerleader a little too fondly, at a recent Friday night football game… The slightly older scandal involves HS football players and sexual assaults, cover-ups, and got the previous superintendent fired.
But come Sundays… Peyton Plac…errrm… La Vernia sure preys a lot.

[firsthand knowledge, used to commute through LV [noted speedtrap town], often used the post office, car dealer, shops, etc]

  17. Harry – I think all the repugs are taking a page out of drumf’s coloring book. “Hey guys, look at my bright and shiny thing – Yay background checks. hmmm not too sure on Ak-47 like guns but look I’m finally reacting”

BTW – what the hell happened to my military funding? It got took away? Damn those SOCIALISTS!!!
