  1. There is much rejoicing in my ‘hood. Cheers and noise-making on a perfect fall morning. I can stand on my patio and here noise from all around me.

I’m going to pause my usual dissing of the residents of Philadelphia for the interim. (That won’t last, however.)

  2. I agree with Jennifer Rubin in principle, but I can’t see it happening in fact unless we get the strength of folks like the Lincoln Project behind what she wants. They’ve barricaded themselves behind shifty lawyers (looking at you, Sleezy Ted Cruz) and biased judges, and they’ll scream FIRST AMENDMENT if we ask for truth.

  3. What djw said.

IMO, the Lincoln project and Stacy Abrams did more to enable a Biden win than anything done by the national party and elected democrats.

For as long as I can remember the Ds can’t believe the Rs can be such cold hearted. greedy, mean SOBs, so they just act like it is not happening.

  4. CNN projected just NOW – Biden is a winner.
Where is my champagne? Oh it,s just 9AM? Who cares!
I,m originally from Europe anyway, we can have champagne even with breakfast.
    My God. What a relief.
    WHAT a relief.
    Makes me cry.

  5. Has Jennifer Rubin ever repudiated her actions in creating hysteria over the “Ground Zero Mosque?”

Crone…say what? Every Democrat I know believes, and has believed, the Rs ARE such cold-hearted, greedy, mean SOBs for years & years. Who are these Ds who don’t? (Oh, the national committee? Maybe.) You do find some who, like me, know that the Rs don’t mind being called cold-hearted, greedy, mean, or SOBs, so calling them out on that doesn’t affect their behavior in the slightest. Calling them out as wastrels, lawless, thugs, etc. does upset them, sometimes enough to make their makeup melt. But we’ve been told that saying these things makes us “as bad as them” and makes right-minded people think we’re the nasties. I think the so-called right-minded people are just unicorn hunters who feel smug and superior to both Ds and Rs because the moral high ground for them is “never compromise a millimeter on anything.”

it will be interesting to see the post-election analysis … Lincoln Project’s aim was to strip off 5% or so of the Republican voters … but Trump INCREASED his share of the vote (up 2 to 48%), INCREASED the number of popular votes (current estimate, up about 7 million). so I’m not certain the LP stripped off Republicans so much as entertained and sharpened opposition voters who had been independents.

Stacey Abrams certainly had an impact, helping to (probably) flip Georgia from Trump to Biden. Now, we’ll see if Fair Fight actually enabled and inspired voters — will they come back for the January 5 Senate run-off vote?

Sure we all know what the Rs are. I’m talking about stuff like when Issa made that stink about the IRS and Lois Lerner going after conservative groups applying for tax exemptions. You had to really dig to know what really happened. And Issa got all kinds of media for months. That kinda stuff. No democratic congress person is willing to be a pit bull.
Does your next door neighbor know who Richard Scaife was? And how he spent years and thousands making up chit about Hillary? And printing it. And it stuck.
The vote counting has been going on since Tuesday. Today is the first time I have seen or read anybody explaining the process. Half of the American public will believe fraud took place because nobody showed them how counting is done. Conspiracy delivers need educating. Maybe if they know how things work they would not fall for BS. Each one teach one will not work when people are being paid to fill the internet with a 1000 lies a day.

  9. Crone, I know of people who do know how counting is done and yet still self-sabotage with lies. From what I can tell, they are also good friends with depression without realizing it. They at least and at best need meds. With any luck at all, meds would make the world all new to them.
