Sarah – Sit Down and Shut Up.

April 19, 2019 By: El Jefe Category: Lie

As we’ve already discussed, Sarah Sanders admitted to Robert Mueller that she lied about FBI agents opposing James Comey.  When the press started reporting that, she immediately went on the attack, lying about lying about lying.  She did it again this morning on national television, and frankly I’m sick of her polluting the WH press room.  Nothing she says is remotely true, and even if it was, she can’t be trusted that the bile spewing from her mouth is true or not.

Time for her to go.  #lyingSarah #Sarahsgottogo

Even Spicer or Scarymouthy would be an improvement, even if only for the theater.

  2. What does she tell her children she does for a living?

I think the FCC should make a rule that every time she’s on the TeeVee, the chyron should read “Sarah Huckabee Sanders: confessed liar”.

    Good idea.
If the networks won’t go along with that, perhaps the press corps could agree on a Casual Friday Dress code this summer.

They could wear tee shirts with weekly messages like your suggestion; Sarah – Confessed Liar, or Sarah – Words Based On Nothing. Or, I Went To The White House But All I Got Were Lies.

Story teller, perhap? It’s anyone’s guess. Shame isn’t something these people recognize easily.

  6. How does she reconcile her self-professed Christianity and her continual bearing false witness?
I guess she found an escape clause.

I don’t understand. Trump tells an average of thirty lies a day, and has ever since he came down the escalator and immediately began to slander Mexicans. Who expects his spokespeople to tell the truth? I just believe the opposite of everything they say — it’s easier.

  8. UmptyDump says:

“… the next day she repeated the same claim and affirmed that at least 50 FBI employees had contacted her. Not so, Mueller again said. That comment was made ‘in the heat of the moment,’ Sanders told Mueller’s team, which concluded that it ‘was not founded on anything.’ ”

When Sarah Sanders answers any reporter’s question at all future press briefings, the reporter should request to know what her response was “founded on.”

  9. She reconciles it easily; it’s for God.

She’s in the same category of a local mega church near where I live. Every election year their church youth group organizes political sign-stealing parties. They load up some teen in their van and make sweeps through neighborhoods removing yard signs for Democrats, especially the ‘pro abortion’ ones. One of my neighbors caught them rd handed one night, the van had the church logo on it. He filed a police report and they did nothing, I did too and also contacted local TV outlets. No one wants to touch the story.

Sarah probably thinks she is doing the work of God defending Trump, And I bet her daddy is real proud of her.

    9
  10. And remember the enablers, those who do not question the lies nor seek the facts.

    10
  11. Joe not to be mean, but sugar in the van might slow them down. Not that I would ever do anything like that. Eye roll

  12. AK Lynne says:

Joe Hill, videotaping them and publicizing it everywhere should probably embarrass them enough to stop it. Social media is great for that. Good luck next election cycle.

  13. The underlying “logic” of huckleberry continuing to lie on anything after they say it once.
Is that they can NEVER apologize or admit error.
So it is everybody else’s fault for continuing to repeat the question that forces her, and her tin god the demented one, to continually repeat the lies.
So, to be overly generous to her, in the heat of the moment it may have seemed like the thing to say. But to held accountable for her statements is unfair to her.
Just as barr tried to excuse demented donnie because he was “frustrated” so it is that any inconvenience, or embarrassment, is a legitimate excuse for any behavior no matter how foul, dishonest, illegal or violation of ones oath of office.

  14. NicaBrian says:

Paul, unfortunately sugar doesn’t do a dang thing. But a gallon of water, while it doesn’t actually hurt anything will slow things down a bit.

And yeah, film it and publicize it. If local news are too chicken, go for some of the independent press. Once it’s out there it’ll take off.

    14
  15. RepubAnon says:

@ Joe Hill: Conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor is a felony… with video evidence, perhaps a RICO suit against the mega church would get some air time. Plus, if the video goes viral, some folks might get embarrassed.

Might come in handy to try getting the church’s tax exempt status revoked as well.

  16. Full disclosure. In a comment to an earlier post I made the statement “that we’ve fought and died for”. I should’ve said “that Americans have fought and died for”. I have never served in the military, and after rereading that it could appear that I claimed to have. I’ve known people in the past who’ve outright lied about service/sacrifice, and it’s disturbed the hell outta me. My respect for anyone who has or is performing public service of ANY kind is immense.
    So just clarifying.

  17. Brad in Dallas says:

One casualty of the Trump era’s allergy to the truth is credibility in general. No matter how earnest and honest the next (Democratic) president is, the US electorate is now used to ignoring the White House or distrusting them.

    17
  18. Oh, hell! She’s a Huckabee! Whaddaya want!

    18
  19. Clearly, she lied when she told the investigator that her comments were not founded on anything. Isn’t that a felony?
