It’s kinda amazing what people are calling news now days.
For example, take this.

And that’s news because some damn fool just now figured it out?
Although the “junk” news sites considered in the analysis included those on both the left and right, lead researcher Philip Howard said the findings suggest “that most of the junk news that people share over social media ends up with Trump’s fans, the far right. They’re playing with different facts, and they think they have the inside scoop on conspiracies.”
As a result, he said in a phone interview, it appears that “a small chunk of the population isn’t able to talk politics or share ideas in a sensible way with the rest of the population.”
Yeah, this ain’t news. This has been going on for a while. They quit being sensible well over a year ago.
Reuters just came out with a poll that 73% of Republicans believe that the FBI and the Justice Department are trying to undermine Donald Trump.
Damn fools. Trump is trying to undermine Trump.

Remember the time Paul Ryan wouldn’t clap when President Obama called for the United States to be the country to cure cancer?
“For the loved ones we’ve all lost, for the family we can still save, let’s make America the country that cures cancer once and for all.”

While he was sitting next to Joe Biden, whose son was suffering with cancer?
Look, I’m not saying that was treason. I’m just saying it was a real crappy thing to do. Double down crappy. Dog dump crappy.
For Democrats to show Donald Trump any manner of approval about anything would be used for him to say, “See, everybody loves me.” Besides, he clapped enough for himself to make up for those who didn’t.
Sumbitch.

You know how you get ready to go to bed at night and wonder, “Did all that crap really happen today?” You wonder how Donald Trump, Devin Nunes, and Paul Ryan could squeeze so much evil doing into 24 hours. You begin to think you’re losing your mind: that many things can’t happen in one day.
I am here to bring you comfort.
There is a website called What The Flying Fertile Flip Just Happened Today where you can check in on reality.
WTF Just Happened Today is a newsletter, blog, podcast, and community that chronicles the daily shock and awe in national politics. It’s produced every morning by hand and updated throughout the day, with a newsletter sent out every afternoon, Monday through Friday.
You’re gonna thank me for this.

It’s on CNN

It’s that extra $1.50 a week that the market couldn’t handle.
The stock market dip follows months of record highs, but still leaves the economy at a significantly higher level than it was when Trump took office.
Pressed about the stock market losses, White House deputy press secretary Raj Shah acknowledged “markets do fluctuate in the short term, I think we all know that. But the fundamentals of this economy are very strong.”
This morning Trump’s giving a speech about how great the stock market dropped 1,000 points.
Devin Nunes will soon have a memo about it.

So Devin Nunes went on Fox & Friend this morning, you know, to play the roll of the Friend.
Among other things, Nunes admitted that he had never read the underlying document of The Memo, wasn’t aware that the FISA court was informed that the Steele document was gained from a political search, and did not know that Carter Page had been a worrisome critter even before Trump was running for president. He also announced that Trump never even met George Papadopoulos.
Oh really, Devin?

So who ya gonna believe – Nunes or your lying eyes?
I think Fox & Friends should change their name to Fox & Some Old Guys In Coffee-Stained Tee Shirts With No Place To Go.
Trump, by the way, was thrilled with Nunes’ performance.

Thanks to Bess for the heads up.

Devin Nunes has more memos and as soon as the White House writes them and delivers them to him, he’s gonna publish them.
Republicans close to Nunes say there could be as many as five additional memos or reports of “wrongdoing.” But a source on the House Intelligence Committee tells me there’s no current plan to use the same extraordinary and highly controversial process they just went through, with a vote and ultimately a presidential approval to declassify sensitive information.
Yes, it is true. Betty Jean Frontage in the post office department used a stamp for a personal piece of mail and only left 40 cents in the stamp drawer. Stamps have not been 40 cents in a long time, Betty Jean. Fact: Betty Jean voted for Hillary. This national nightmare is all Hillary’s fault.
Kyle Johnson at the State Department was unnecessarily nice to the Mexican Ambassador. It is a well known fact that Mexico is not sending us their best. They send us their drugs, their rapists. And Kyle was polite to him. Kyle was also polite to Bill Clinton once. Got it? Collusion.
Edwin Elberger, Ph.D., works in the agriculture department. Last month he was testing an experimental apple crop and he ate the entire apple instead of taking the customary one bite. This violates at least three customs and Dr. Elberger’s excuse that the apple was really, really tasty brings small comfort to the American people. Elberger has a “Work For Peace” bumper sticker on his Prius so we all know he as probably slipping apples to the Democratic National Committee.
Okay, that’s the first three, so the last two are up to you.
