Louie! Shuddup!

March 27, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself

Y’all, Louie Gohmert sat in the United States congress and announced that Democrats are just like Nazis because they both are socialist.

No, I am not freeking kidding.

When several Democrats sought to set him straight about the difference between genuine socialists and National Socialist German Workers’ Party — known as Nazis — Gohmert insisted that he was correct.

“I’m sorry — we need to do everything we can to avoid another Holocaust,” he said, but “they were the National Socialist Party. It’s what they were. … They claimed to be socialists, and they were.”

Well, there’s a big ole bag of nope.

Louie went to Texas A&M University and I believe that A&M needs to be alerted to the deficiencies of their political science departments.  Or, oh hell, their thinking department.

Several other congress folks tried to school Louie on the differences between socialism, fascism, nazis, and communists but Louie ain’t hearing it.  Louie quit giving town halls after Gabby Giffords was shot because he was self-convinced that somebody would shoot him. I think he’s still not giving town halls. He’s that confused.

Oh well, at least he doesn’t think Democrats are all still in the Muslim Brotherhood. I guess that’s a little progress.

UPDATED: “Hi! I’m Mark Tice, and a Xenophobic Jerk.”

March 26, 2019 By: El Jefe

UPDATED: Mark Tice, Chambers County commissioner, insulted Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo for speaking Spanish at a press conference about the aftermath of the ITC terminal fire that blackened our skies for several days last week.  On the live feed comment thread of a press conference, Tice blurted out, “She’s a joke; English this is not Mexico.”  When asked later by the Houston Chronicle about the comment, he confirmed saying it and added, “It’s real simple. This is the United States. Speak English.”

While shocking to normal people, this kind of language is common among Texas Teapublicans, who wear their xenophobia as a badge of honor.  Most of these guys, though, keep their ranting to Facebook and in private circles.  Some are blatantly offensive, like Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller who regularly spews bile on his social media pages.  Welp, here’s another one from Chambers County.  He’s a racist pig, and doesn’t care who knows it; he apparently thinks it’s fine to insult a colleague from a neighboring county government.  It will be interesting what Ms Hidalgo’s response will be the next time Chambers County asks for emergency assistance after a storm and/or flood.

Maybe “Habla Español” would be a good answer.

UPDATE: Mark Tice apologized publicly to Hidalgo for showing her and the public that he’s a racist prick.  When he spouted off to her on a public comment board to “speak English”, he was probably a little surprised that being a flaming asshole in public is generally not a good thing to do.  He issued a full apology sometime late yesterday:

“In regards to the comments I issued on Judge Hidalgo’s press conference: From my understanding, there were reporters asking questions in Spanish and Judge Hildalgo responded to those questions in Spanish, with no translation given. If that is not the case, then I sincerely apologize. Like many citizens concerned about the ITC fires, I was very emotional about the effect it was having on everyone. I apologize to Judge Hidalgo, the citizens of my County, and most importantly the entire Hispanic community for hastily acting out with transgression on social media. I recognize how my response could have been interpreted in a derogatory manner and for that I am sorry. I immediately regretted my choice of words. I’m not proud of my behavior, that is not the example I wish to lead by. I can only hope, in time, that my actions can be forgiven. Having grown up in Galena Park, Texas— a place that is and has always been a very diverse community—I was raised with the ideology that you do not judge anyone by their ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Those values mean everything to me. It breaks my heart that I may have said anything that would lead anyone to believe otherwise. Those who know me well, know how deeply rooted I am within the Hispanic community. My sentiments on this issue were grounded in the passion and love that I have for the City of Houston and the surrounding areas. Again, I am truly sorry for for creating this unnecessary situation.”

When asked about his comments to the Chronicle, Tice wrote:

“My comments towards Judge Hidalgo today in the Chronicle were inappropriate. I apologize for that. I was very emotional, and said things that I regret. Again, I am truly sorry.”

“My response could have been interpreted in a derogatory manner.”  Ya’ think? In what other way could that insult be taken other than derogatory?  In what world does a guy like Tice live where being a caustic racist in public is OK? Chambers County, apparently. The good thing, though, is that occasionally, even mouthbreathers like this clown can be shamed into not acting like a complete prick to others 24/7.

No, no, we said FISH fight, not fist fight.

I’m not a fishing authority or anything, but the times I’ve been, a fishing pole is a tad safer.

Thanks to Patti for the heads up.

The My Pillow Guy

March 26, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself

You’ve seen him on the teevee deeply caring that you get a good night’s rest. He looks innocent enough to be a choir boy and … dammit, he almost is.

Meet Mike Lindell, the guy hawking My Pillow.

Recalling his recovery from crack cocaine and alcohol addiction, Mr. Lindell said he “woke up” in 2009 “oblivious as to what was going on in our country.”

“What I saw before me were friends unemployed, terrible political correctness, people saying ‘happy holidays’ instead of ‘Merry Christmas’ and people trying to take God out of everything and not even acknowledging Jesus Christ,” said Mr. Lindell. “Quite frankly it looked like the End Times prophesied in the bible.”

“I now bring you back in time to the summer of 2015,” Mr. Lindell continued. “I see Donald Trump coming down an escalator and announcing he is running for president. For me it was a divine and miraculous moment — I felt something miraculous was about to unfold.”

Yeah, just like the Rip Van Wrinkle of dope, he awoke from his years of debauchery to discover people magically descending down elevators with beautiful women following them, almost like 9 virgins rolled into one. This has to be from God’s wayward brother, Cocaine God.

If I ever heard a good reason for if you get coked up, stay coked up, this is it.  You fried your brain, son.

President Trump was “chosen by God” to run for the White House, My Pillow founder Mike Lindell said on the opening day of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in suburban D.C.

Here is a man who thinks Trump was chosen by God and that hackers are not a problem at all. In fact, My Pillow found no need to alert its customers that their credit card information was hacked for several months back in 2017. No need at all, until RiskQ makes it public this year. And then, and only then, do they say anything.

The hackers accessed the credit card systems in April 2017 and stayed on the site for several months, according to researchers with the firm RiskQ.

After RiskQ made its results public, MyPillow confirmed in a statement to CENT that it detected the breach back in 2017.

Personally, I think they should have advised their customers that as a precaution they should take a down escalator with a hooker into a street corner of drug dealers. After all, that’s how God picks winners!

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

Alex Jones Update UPDATED Update

March 26, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself

As you have heard, one of the Sandy Hook parents took his own life yesterday.  Jeremy Richman’s death happened at the offices of the foundation he had founded in his daughter’s name.  Tragic doesn’t even begin to cover this.

Richman was one of the parents who sued Alex Jones in Connecticut. For those of you have asked, he is not one of my son’s clients.

Jones offered condolences.  Ya know, through his lawyer.

Last Saturday night Jones was kicked out of Lucy’s Chicken in Austin after he tried to start a fight there and got ridiculed by the customers. This was a day or two after his deposition in Austin.  This is the video that was captured.

UPDATED:  I refuse to put his nasty face on my website but you can see it here.

Jones took to the airwaves and started screaming about how reporters are trying to hurt him and Donald Trump. He said they are guilty of treason because all he’s ever done is love America.  And then he snarled …

“If you’re found guilty of treason, and they want me to kick the switch to open that trapdoor and drop your neck down and snap that son of a bitch, I swear to God I’ll pull those levers all day,” he said as footage of Maddow appeared on screen behind him.

Yes, this is the screen shot he used.

Crazy people listen to him and he knows it.

Thanks to Kyle for the heads up.
