Oathkeepers Filing into the Capitol

January 10, 2021 By: El Jefe Category: Insurrection

There are internet sleuths working to identify the insurrectionists who attacked to Capitol last Wednesday.  Here is a video of a paramilitary team of Oathkeepers moving as a unit up the steps on the east side of the Capitol building.  If you can identify any of these terrorists, please contact @jsrailton through Twitter.

  1. Rich in Fla says:

Yes absolutely, out these guys and go after them for sedition, firearms violations, conspiracy, anything that sticks or slows them down.

    But

Who is running our country or has been since Wednesday?
No press briefings, press conferences or info releases on:

Congress’ situation, the Covid battle, the VP and chain of succession for 25A or impeachment. Who is in charge and how will military and cabinet staff deal with Blotus’ next over the top event?

    1
  2. Headline: The Capitol rioters put themselves all over social media. Now they’re getting arrested.

Edit: Apparently believing they weren’t doing anything wrong, or that law enforcement wouldn’t go after them for their actions, the Trump supporters paraded in front of cameras wearing distinct (and thus easily recognizable) costumes and, in some cases, even ID badges.

  3. I wonder why no-one is talking about the wife of Justice Thomas, she was up to her neck in organising this, also
paying for buses to bring the criminals to Washington.

  4. Elizabeth Moon says:

I have nothing to say about that woman except that she should be in jail and her husband should be off the bench. That’s it. I don’t, however, want to push Thomas’s resignation or removal until Trump is not still legally president. For obvious reasons.

  5. Elizabeth Moon says:

The Conga Line: That group on the stairs are the pros (or some of the pros), there to observe and report back, and to direct when possible…and avoid being right in front where face phoitography is possible (again, note the video of that attack on the Speaker’s doors…these green camo helmet covers are on the side, pushing the cattle forward, handing them tools.)

Someone may have better pics and we’ll hope that person puts them up online. Who are they really? Range of possibilities. A rogue US military unit. Not likely, but possible. A militia (paramilitary) group with prior military experience. A little more likely. A rogue group of a US law enforcement organization or certain large-city PDs. (Bureau of Prisons, ICE, ATF, NYCPD, ChicagoPD) with access to real military training and experience in riot control, urban warfare. At least as likely as a militia group. A group of foreign military up to date in training. Unlikely, but not leaving any stones unturned.

What’s clear is their training, their fitness level, their absolute assurance. It’s not possible to see, from this angle, whether they have “smart” helmets (with heads-up displays, options of filters for vision in different light situations, or what weapons they’re carrying out or concealed. That’s not an accident. Like the guy in the Senate chamber with the zip-ties, stepping over the railing, or the guys zooming up the side of the Capitol building while the wannabees struggle and even fall off, these are professionals. They won’t be taking selfies.

As y’all know I”m already biased against Eric Prince, let me reinforce that impression with why I think Blackwater and its successors are involved: they have the opportunity to train with the best currently available equipment, they’re right-knit and know each other well (the body language of the Conga line reveals no moment of uncertainty about where their people are), they have both the broad and narrow-focused attentions of those with not just any combat experience but intense fighting in crowded conditions. Their situational awareness is excellent. Their outfits are concealing; the one guy without a helmet may be a planned way to move one of their people while making themselves less scary and more “we’re all your guys.” Or he may have squeezed in and they just take him upstairs and spit him out later.

Thanks, El Jefe. If any of our local morons’ mugs appear on social media we’d be happy to do our civic duty. Washoe Co., NV is mostly liberal with UNR and Reno/Sparks being the population centers. However we’re far enough north in the county to unfortunately experience some of the bilge from Iduho, Oregon, and Utah bleeding into the area as well as a few conservative whack-a-doodles of our own in the area. At a guess the FBI has facial recognition files of any of the repeat faces from the Bundy bunch of banana heads, local and out of state.

  7. Harry Eagar says:

if this was a prep, that was a strategic miscalculation that I find hard to explain.

They thought they could do a trial run, break up congress and kill people, but there would not be any pushback? No heightened sensitivities? No better planning?

It’s not as if taking over Malheuer bird sanctuary worked that way.

  8. Rich in Fla says:

At least one guy – the most outfitted in the middle of the pack- has coms gear – antenna flapping off his back pack.

    Who is he reporting to?

  9. Steve from Beaverton says:

This is not off topic- repugnanticans in congress are circling the wagons to protect Trumpf which to me is letting those that were part of the insurrection LED BY TRUMPF off the hook and again pandering to those in all the videos and pictures.
I was trying to hold down my breakfast reading what they were saying and listening to them in the news. But my final straw was Jim jordan having the gall to say Biden should give a speech defending Trumpf. That is deplorable, nauseating, sick, but typical of him and his like minded repugnanticans.
And lucky you Texas. Trumpf is fleeing Tuesday to see you and his big beautiful monument to himself- the wall. My question is, will goober and croozer and Paxton and patrick be there campaining for their next election?

Wait! There was a Black person in that crowd?!?

  11. Wouldn’t have to be a unit of all Ex-Mil. Just enough to be a cadre to D. I. the Wanna-be’s,and be a N. C. O. core. Rich @ 8; or getting orders from??

    11
  12. Some one should check B DEVOS, HER connection to black water, where some of the millions she spent supporting Trump went. Her quick resignation(to avoid being looked at?) Also the turtles wife Elaine.

  13. New Covid alert for those congresscritters sheltering in hearing rooms, one person tested positive, at least 4 GOP congress in that room refused to wear masks. Room was crowded. I heard an interview a few days ago with CA Rep Linda Sanchez. She was expecting something bad would happen and on Tuesday night called her husband to tell him where her will was. She mentioned the crowded room and GOPers not wearing masks and decided to go to a less crowded area that was less safe (from a violence perspective) because she was worried about Covid. Heard CA Rep Jackie Speier say the same this morning (about moving out of the crowded room).

  14. We are definitely in uncharted territory when Conan The Barbarian starts talking Nazis, and it makes more sense than 40% of the people in this country:

    14
  15. Tacking onto my #13, just now on MSNBC, PA Rep Madeline Dean says she was also in that room with Sanchez and Speier. She said the GOP House members were huddled together at one end, several were not wearing masks. They were offered them, but refused. She called that “despicable” and kept her distance.

Now for what I started before adding the above. Seth Abramson has written a stunning 200 tweet analysis of Trump’s Wednesday speech and the way he used language to incite the crowd to do what he wanted without specifically calling it out. As if they weren’t already ready to go, especially the most radicalized, more fuel to the fire. And should be evidence that he helped in or instigated this plot to overthrow the govt.

    https://twitter.com/SethAbramson/status/1347908845281095680

Also, I heard a perfect counterargument for those who claim it was “antifa” who caused the violence. Proof that it was not lies in Trump’s post riot speech where he said he loved them (the rioters) and that they were special. He wouldn’t say that to antifa.

Steve from Beaverton. Where did Jordan say that? My search didn’t turn up anything since Wednesday

  18. @Caren 12

Elaine probably quit early to avoid embarrassment to her husband, when they started talking Article 25 whichever way she voted would have splattered him. I doubt Eric Prince discusses shady business with his sister, she is after all female

  19. Hannah @15, PA Rep. Madeleine Dean, a Democrat from Pennsylvania and a member of the House Judiciary Committee, was interviewed on the PBS NewsHour Thursday, she gave the best analysis and opinions on this insurrection that I have heard yet.
I’ve rewatched it and bookmarked it.

Full PBS Rep. Madeleine Dean interview transcript and video segment here:

    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/calls-for-trumps-removal-from-office-grow-louder-across-the-political-spectrum

“Rep. Madeleine Dean, a Democrat from Pennsylvania and a member of the House Judiciary Committee, is among a growing number of lawmakers calling for President Trump’s Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office, or for Congress to impeach him again, and this time convict him.
She joins Judy Woodruff to discuss.”

  21. Sandridge #19: thanks.

Re John Scott Railton, I was reading his Twitter thread about 24 hours ago. Ppl were sending tips to him so quickly. He sent info to the FBI. I’m glad they caught the zip tie guys. Today I heard the FBI stopped several very dangerous ppl from coming to DC on the 6th. It could have been much worse.
