I Hope He Brings a Check

Y’all, Trump wants to go to El Paso tomorrow.  I hope he brings a check because he skipped out on his bill last time he was there.

El Paso’s stiffed taxpayers ought to make Trump find his own way around the city when he lands. No one there to greet him; make his motorcade stop at the stoplights just like any other string of vehicles. Make him fight the rush hour traffic from Airway to Hawkins or Viscount or I-10, or however he plans to get to the mall. No blocked intersections, no motorcycle escort, nothing. Let him find his own way to wherever he’s determined to inflict himself on the innocent bystanders of El Paso.

  2. Provide no services of any kind until he pays up and demand a security deposit for any future activities.

    dobleremolque,
That’s a minimum. Thinking that they should seize the limos AND Air Force One until the loser deadbeat pays the hell up. Slap a lien on the mf’er too.
Y’all know how most cities [and governments] can jerk around average people who owe bills, fees, taxes, etc.
Just watch a few episodes of the teevee series “Parking Wars”. Boot AF1 and tow it to impound…
    .
El Pasoans have a growing petition asking SOBOTUS to stay away.

    ITMFN

  4. Slap a lien on all assets of the campaign.

  5. RepubAnon says:

I look forward to the chant: “Pay Your Bills!”

    5
  6. I want the Mayor of El Paso to present this scammer with a bill, preferably a large pink flimsy like so many bills are printed on, in as conspicious, public and embaressing way possible wheen this doofus comes to further pollute the city with his presence.
    No concern about protocol.
No concern about shaming demented donnie.
    No concern about “appropiateness”.
Just a bill with interest and penalties.

With justice the cost of all the funerals, memorials, counseling and municipal costs of any sort should be added in as conspicious way as possible.
Sorry but since it is obvious he has no respect for the office he is abusing why should anyone else?

And since the demented donnie campaign and the RNC have officially been merged Jo’s suggestion (#4) is a valid position.

Seize any bank accounts, offices, data, computers etc of any thuglicans campaign operation in El Paso and pursue a state wide seizure order against the RNC, and associated entities, offices and campaign efforts across the state.

Paper towels for Puerto Rico, vacuums for California and probably another worthless IOU for El Paso from the Toddler-in-Thief.

  8. Grandma Ada says:

Did he pay for his visit to Toyota Center? I want the City to get the money while he still has a job

  9. 1toughlady says:

No surprise; Trump stiffs everyone. He never pays a bill if he can help it.

    9
  10. That’s a hellava lotta Big Macs.

    10
  11. El Paso might wish to help Charlotte on how to ensure that the thuglicans pay their bills for the rnc convention they are hosting.
I suggest a inviolable cash up front policy with a mandatory deposit large enough to any and all possible issues.

    11
  12. Whatever happened to slapping a lien on somebody? He is not above the law. Period. Maybe going public with a lien will teach him a lesson even if he does not want to learn.

    12
  13. How about a Go Fund Me?
Donations collected will pay for Trump’s outstanding debts in El Paso, after he releases 10 years of tax returns to the fund’s participants.

    That’s worth $10 to me.

    HANG ON!
The US markets are barely open and the DJIA is down almost 500 points!
Yesterday saw a lukewarm 316pt recovery from Monday’s -767pt bloodbath.
Today could be a historic wreck.
All the leadoff financial headline stories are about trade/tariffs and bonds cratering.

Prez Tariffman ain’t going to have a very good day today.
Between Wall Street tanking and getting reviled in El Paso and Dayton, he’ll be burning up the twhitlerverse.

    Dang
Crude oil is dropping like a stone, ~$51.72/bbl.

A big thing: Price of gold has been climbing rapidly recently– $1504/oz, up $32 just this morning.

Not good signs, the Trump Recession/Depression may have begun.

    16
  17. I’m not a fan of market crashes, but if the 2020 Democratic nominee can run on “it’s the economy stupid” it might be worth it in the long run.

    17
  18. John Jackson says:

Serious question (BTW, I detest ’45’): have the other political candidates’ organizations, those that came to El Paso (I’m guessing some did) pay the city?

    18
  19. Sandridge says:

    John Jackson,
Sure they have. The strongest contrast was with the klan rally event [it attracted most attendees from distant places] the Wasted Welcher has stiffed El Paso for [the late-pay invoice shown above].
Beto O’Rouke had an event the same day there, he paid some in advance and the balance in a short time [within a week, iirc].

    19
  20. @John Jackson 18 & @Sandridge 19 –

I have kind of a twist on the question. Does 45 stiff *everyone*? Or just blue jurisdictions?

    20
  21. Sandridge says:

    Malarkey,
Anyone and everyone, for a long time.
Suspect it’s the only ‘stiffy’ he’s been swinging for decades [ask Stormy]…
The red places just lap it up and stiff their own taxpayers, no probs, they’ve gotten away with it too, forever.

    21
  22. thatotherjean says:

Trump didn’t pay the bills he ran up the last time he was in El Paso? It’s not like he’s going to pay them this time, either. Trump costs money, he doesn’t pay it back.

    22
  23. Sandridge says:

While en route to El Paso, MOFOBOTUS is busy tweeting that Beto O’Rourke ‘is a fake Hispanic’! Damn I hate the bastard.

Yes, Beto is an Anglo, and growing up in a very TexMex Hispanic environment, he assimilated in very well. So well he even earned a Spanish diminutive nickname; which is used/indicative of affection by those bestowing it.
Beto is also noted [among other things] for being extremely fluent in the Spanish language. MOFOBUTUS can only utter utter ‘Bullshit’. [ ;] , hope I got that right]

[Another of your occasional lessons in ‘border culture’ brought to you by an old Anglo SOB who’s spent most of his life on or very near La Frontera de Tejas; yes, sort of fluent too, and even have a nic , or two.]

    23
  24. Robin Frazier says:

We get stuck with the bill this time. it is an “official” visit. Trump is ripping us off on this crap which is really campaign trips.

    24
  25. If one looks at the number of potential economic/ social/ political crisises coming up in the next 2 to 3 months is enough to stagger the imagination.
    Just a partial list
    1) Brexit – demented jr. in the UK is bound and determined to destroy the UK
    2) Hong Kong protests – Question is when does China send in the tanks and how will the economic engine that is Hong Kong reacts
    3) China/ US trade war
    4) India China trade war?Kashmir India/ Pakistan on evrge of new war? This time they both have Nukes
    5) Korea/Japan trade war social conflict over comfort women from WWII
    6) Ebola crisis in africa
    7) Viet Nam/ China stand off in the Phillipine Sea over islands that china is seizeing
    8) Israeli elections – basically the only cause for redo is bibi wants a guareentee of immunity for criminal activity -sound familiar
9)Kashmir India/ Pakistan on verge of new war? This time they both have Nukes
And that is only a partial list.
How about the issues that some countries will try to “resolve” through force if the general state of the world allows them to sneak actions under the radar in general confusion i.e. turkish genocide against Armenians in aftermath of WWI
I place the odds of a “positive” economic environment next election day as being very thin.
