I Don’t Even Know Where To Start
The Stephanopoulos town hall will be taught in both political science classes and abnormal psychology.
I think it’s interesting how normal, every day people were more apt to press Trump than reporters do. People are not afraid of him like reporters are.
Trump told George Stephanopoulos of ABC News that he has a new heath care plan ready to unveil:
TRUMP: I have it all ready. I have it all ready.
STEPHANOPOULOS: But it’s … you’ve been trying to strike down preexisting conditions…
TRUMP: It doesn’t matter. I have it all ready, and it’s a much better plan for you, and it’s a much better plan.
Trust him, believe him, it’s a much better plan for George Stephanopoulos. Although I doubt even that.
One thing you can say about Trump. He does not feel anyone’s pain.
Sounds like Nixon’s secret plan to end the Vietnam War. That plan was:
1*pretend to have a plan
* get elected
* count on everyone in the media forgetting about the plan
Trying to remember how many times Trumpf has said he would be announcing a plan very soon. My guess it’s going to be a make believe plan but he’ll say it’s so incredible that “you won’t believe how great it is.” And to get this incredible plan, you’ll need to elect all repugnanticans to Congress and keep the senate majority and of course re-elect him.
2I hope we never have see how great it is.
Disappointing that Stephanopoulos didn’t call him out about how many times he’s promised a health plan soon.
The Beltline crowd serves as the source of information that provides reporters their income. If you piss off that source you stand to suffer loss of “scoops” (which nowadays amounts to being fed the information (truth or lies) that your source wants disseminated.
3They have forgotten that what they are supposed to be reporting is what people WON”T tell you. Receipts, paper trails, stakeouts, photographs: all very difficult to obtain or undertake. So much easier for Maggie Haberman to simply take a phone call from one of her insider “friends” who is trying to get in front of some bad press that’s about to break.
@RepubAnon
4Oh Nixon had an actual secret plan, you can bet on that. Remember, he had ̶̶ ̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶̶ Herr Kissinger as his chief advisor, so it probably involved bombing civilians and lots of napalm.
“One thing you can say about Trump. He does not feel anyone’s pain.”
Covidiot 45 has never been made to feel his own self generated pain. From Fred bailing his failures out with massive infusions of cash to bankruptcy courts and a phalanx of lawyers to protect him from himself, Donnie has escaped feeling the pain of his own st00pidity. Then Russia, Saudi Arabia, China and lordy who knows where else have stepped in with cash to cover up where Donnie has stepped all over himself. Now Republicons in Congress, Treasury, and the Federal Reserve are papering over the errors of his ways.
2008 – President Obama inherited a mess from Dubya & Cheney and never received credit for what he was able to accomplish with Moscow Mitch obstructing him for 8 years.
2020 – In the wake of the disaster aka as Donnie, the Biden/Harris Team are truly screwed, if we can’t give them a “working Senate”* (* meaning a Senate without Republicons or as few as possible)
5Rats! The blog would not print Dr Strangelove in strikethrough text.
6He has a plan—-And some beachfront property on the west of Phoenix.
7So send him your money.
President Obama gave us a healthcare plan. Everyone hated it. Till they actually looked at it and saw how it would help them. Then they loved it.
Until now, no Republican has dared take it down. They repeatedly voted to repeal it — right up until 2016 when they actually had a chance at success. Then they sat down and shut up.
So we can be sure of one thing — well, four things, actually.
81] Trump has no intention to unveil his plan till after the election when, he hopes, it will be too late to do anything about it.
2] The other Republicans would rejoice while denying they wanted any such thing to happen. But hey —- Trump! Whatcha gonna do?
3] Trump would see it as a thumb in the eye to President Obama. Because that’s what he lives for.
4] This is just one more reason to vote.
Actually, Twocrows, Texas never took the Medicaid expansion and is leading the way on the lawsuit that’s at SCOTUS right now. After we dump his majesty, we need to gear up for state elections in 2022!
9Reporters are scared of losing “access”. Most of them on that level are very well paid to pass on press releases as “journalism.”
Most politicians avoid regular people. We’ll call them out quickly with follow up questions.
10Jane & PKM @ 5 Au contraire, Trump feels his own pain every minute. His mommy and daddy didn’t love him, shipped him off to brat school. Everything he does is devoted to erasing the pain of being an unwanted child.
The cheering crowds, the sycophantic Cabinet secretaries are topical anesthesia, but it doesn’t go deep enough and it doesn’t last.
11“And you’ll develop a herd mentality. It’s going to be herd development and that’s going to happen. That will all happen. But with a vaccine, I think it will go away very quickly,” Trump said.
#Herdmentality – a lack of which creates Trump supporters.
12Millions of people who get their medical information from social media and afternoon TV refuse to have their kids immunized against measles, chicken pox and rubella, even though those vaccines have been around for decades and are proven effective. Are they rushing to the head of the line for a covid-19 shot being fast-tracked by a politicized FDA? Because I’m not.
13Steve from Beaverton @2, You wrote: “Disappointing that Stephanopoulos didn’t call him out about how many times he’s promised a health plan soon.”.
GS specifically asked Kamerad Donnei that.
He followed up immediately after tRump spouted that bullshit, by stating that he himself had interviewed DJT a year or two ago, when DJT stated that he would rollout a great healthcare plan in a couple of weeks, like ‘June 16th’ or whatever.
I heard Stephanopoulos challenge His Pendejoness on Sunday’s TW program.
.
Wally Plahutnik @4, Herr Kissinger is far worse than even what you mention here.
Most people don’t realize that Herr Kissinger cut Nixon’s famous ‘China Opening’ deal partly by allowing the Chinese free reign to allow their ally and semi-puppet Pol Pot to run wild in Cambodia/Kampuchea.
By indirectly facilitating Pol Pot, Kissinger shares blame in the deaths of the 2-4 million Cambodians killed by the Pol Pot Communist regime.
14Grandma Ada @9: While I agree we gotta keep hammering away in 2022, we need to seize the state legislatures this year and not wait. The batch that gets into office in 2020 will be doing the redistricting for the next 10 years. With relatively recent court cases that said it’s ok to gerrymander for political advantage, that would mean locking in Republican majorities if they’re the ones doing the divvying up.
Amongst the young-uns like college students, it’s true that they often don’t pay attention and don’t vote in off-years. But we’ve got to get them to the polls both now and in 2022.
15Buttermilk Sky @ 13:
Those are exactly the people who WILL rush to get Trump’s vaccine. They don’t trust the real ones but because Trump says this is a “beautiful vaccine like you’ve never seen before” they’ll roll up their sleeves immediately.
So the ones who didn’t get sick as a result of the virus may very well die of the “cure” — just like those who ran right out and grabbed hydroxychloroquine or injected bleach or tried to shove a flashlight up where the sun don’t shine.
