Top HHS spokesman Michael Caputo, who proved himself to be a crazy man last weekend, called an emergency staff meeting on this afternoon to apologize for acting like a damn fool on Facebook Live.
On Sunday, Caputo took to Facebook Live to level a series of wild and false accusations that warned of an armed insurrection after the election and asserted without evidence that public health officials were trying to undermine Trump’s reelection bid.
I dunno, telling people that they better start clipping coupons for ammo …“
And when Donald Trump refuses to stand down at the inauguration, the shooting will begin. The drills that you’ve seen are nothing… If you carry guns, buy ammunition, ladies and gentlemen, because it’s going to be hard to get.”
He blamed his behavior on a combination of physical health issues and the toll of fielding death threats against his family. So this bozo thinks he’s the only person getting death threats in America? Maybe he’d like to be a black father who lost his job and is going to be evicted from his home during a pandemic. Or maybe just a nurse or a school teacher who face death every damn day.
Or maybe he thinks threatening to shoot people at the inauguration is the nice and polite way of treating your fellow Americans.
This guy doesn’t need to be fired. He needs to be locked up.
Yet another person enters the race for worst person appointed by Trump (though I have to say I think Barr has the inside track on that one, for now.) He and his cohorts have been trying their best to destroy the CDC, which used to be a global leader in public health and epidemiology, a trustworthy connection to science and data.
1Tony Fauci is 22 years older than this creep, has been getting credible death threats to himself and his family, and has been almost the last credible bulwark trying to defend science against the assaults of Caesar Disgustus. And do you hear any whining from TF?
It’s hard to understand how anyone would hear that and say to themselves (or in public) “yeah, I certainly want four more years of people like that in charge.”
2Yes, there are so many on the long list of worse appointees of Trumpf, those confirmed by the senate and those just acting out. Caputo’s boss, Alex Azar, has to be on the list because he let it go on (and for many other despicable actions).
3They both have no regard for Americans. The proof is that as almost 200,000 Americans have died, they continue to try and lie for Trumpf. HHS has become an enemy of the people instead of a protector of the people.
I read in the paper last week that 1/3 of Texans own guns, 20% of those bought in the last three months – by Democrats, the rational ones!
4At the start of the first NFL game; Kansas City Chiefs and Texans game The stadium allotted something like 17,000 fans entry the game. The Chiefs players decided to show their concern for the number of deaths at the hands of police by taking the center of the field and linking arms in a show of unity. The Texans stayed in the locker room. No judgement implied.
The fans started booing loudly at the opening ceremony. When the game began, the fans THEN started cheering wildly (you can probably find the clip) only minutes later. It was as if a switch was flipped on then off in that collective gray matter in minutes.

Going back to Moscow cuts both ways for Caputo. On the one hand Vlad surely will have the Order of Lenin in his bag for Caputo. Otoh, Vlad may toast the Order of Lenin with a polonium tonic. We’ll just have to see.
