Holy Cow!

Okay, okay, After trial, a federal judge declares Texas’s anti-drag law, SB12, unconstitutional and issues a permanent injunction barring — through AG Paxton — all state officials from enforcing it.

But, that’s not even the best part …

The best part is that Judge Hittner is one of the most conservative judges in Texas.  Nobody expected this.

I’m sorry I didn’t get this posted yesterday when it happened but to be honest, maybe it’s even better marinating in its own sauce for a day.

  1. I hope they don’t find some other judge to overturn that decision. They do have their ways of getting what they want.

  2. Drag – The Greatest Show On Earth!
Paxton – There’s A Sucker Born Every Minute!

  3. It’s obvious–to me, at least–that the folks promoting bans on Drag have no idea what it’s all about in the first damn place. If they did, they would be celebrating it.

If you have never witnessed the High Heel Race around Halloween in DC, you have a real treat in store.

Does that mean Houston libraries can again have drag queen story hours? They were fun for kids!

The priorities of the repugnantican party tells you why things that are important get ignored. It’s their idiotology. It ain’t just Texas but their losing a round is always good.

  10. This is great news. Here in Oklahoma, our rwnj Secretary of Education, Ryan Walters, is threatening to revoke the certification of a principal for performing drag on his own time, never at school. Walters is also threatening the school board who dared to hire the principal and refuses to fire him. I wonder if the recognition that performing drag is constitutionally protected free speech will even give him pause.

  11. Makes a person wonder if the GOP clown show is nothing but a closeted bunch of tranny chasers. Seriously. Their sudden ‘interest’ is highly suspect. Really. Is there so little action in their own boudoirs they need to invade everyone else’s privacy?

Kudos to Judge Hittner for exposing the Paxton clown show.

  12. So glad this happened in Texas. That way the appeals process will fast-track to the 5th Circuit where the real gymnastics will put Drag Shows and 1st Amendment issues in the main ring for this circus.
