The takeover of the GOP is complete. The Republican Party capitulated to Trump in toto today, declining to even propose or vote on a platform, the first time in history. While struggling to stay vertical with no spinal columns, the rules committee issued a statement, courageously stating –
“RESOLVED, That the
RepublicanTrump Party has and will continue to enthusiastically support the President’s America-first agenda.”
Translation: “We give up. Trump controls the entire Republican Trump Party and we have no ideas that depart from Trump’s. Heil, Trump!”
This week, I think I’ll binge watch Downton Abbey and sip wine instead of watching the burning dumpster party.

After the Trumpf administration crashes and burns, I wonder how many of these hangers on will start trashing him again for ruining their party (if that was even possible to make worse). Or will they throw their support to Jr.? Hope he’s in jail along with Eric.

Hitler was able to do what he did because the contemporaneous ruling party thought they could control him so they tossed him the chancellorship to assuage his base.
In the 1930’s that was the Nazi Party. Today, it’s Q-anon. They’re one and the same.

17notjonathan – I’m not certain but I believe the minimum sentencing guidelines for all of 45’s crime amounts to much more than 12 years… and that doesn’t even count the years for his state crimes.
