Fun With Golf Clubs
A couple in Minnesota have fun by writing political messages on a piece of plywood and standing on the corner holding it up. It seems like as good a hobby as any.
So the other day, they took their new sign to the corner. It said, “Trumpers — thank God in greyhound he is gone.” I think that’s supposed to be God and Greyhound, after the Roy Acuff song. It doesn’t matter. I get it and I think it’s funny.
Well, that apparently was the final straw for fifty year old Mark A. Ulsaker. He drove by in his pickup truck and then came back and attacked them from behind. With a damn golf club. He kept swinging it at their heads.
Under questioning by police, Ulsaker said he is a “Trump supporter” who was angry about the couple’s sign.
He said he made an obscene gesture, swung a golf club at them and kicked over the sign.
Ulsaker said he punched the man because he was coming after him. He also said he drove his pickup over the curb toward the woman, but only to scare her.
So basically, like Trump, he didn’t do anything wrong. He missed with the golf club and only punched the man to defend himself. And there’s no laws against trying to scare people. People do that on Halloween all the time.
But, Ulsaker made one mistake because when the police came to his home to arrest him, he took a swing at one of them. They say he calmed down quite a lot when the police pulled a taser on him.
I wish they had released the names of the victims so I could send them money for more damn plywood and paint. What this world needs is more 80 year olds with funny signs at street corners. That would improve all our lives greatly.
Attacking seniors might be a charge all its own, It is here in California. Bail for a weirdo attacking a senior neighbor was $150k.
1The couple would have known better if they’d heard about this tow-truck driver who refused to help a car with a Biden sticker and then tried to run over the owner. There are a lot of crazy, angry, violent people in this country and we all need to be vigilant about where we exercise our First Amendment rights, at least for now.

2I guess his mother didn’t teach him how to be “Minnesota Nice”. Hope he gets charged with elder abuse and has to pay their medical costs and replace the sign.
3I saw a picture of this tough guy in his big truck. And he was scared because he thought an 80 year old man and his wife were coming after him? Hope the judge laughs at him to his face. Maybe he can get a Trumpf campaign lawyer to defend him cuz they’re quickly going to be looking for new clients that have no chance.
4Oh, hope these seniors sue his ass off. Get his big proud boy truck and cash, maybe his home.
Roy Clark, not Roy Acuff. Although it would’ve been awesome to hear Mr. Acuff do that one.
5If Ulsaker had to protect himself from an 80 year old, I guess it undermines the Republican argument that a 78 year old Joe Biden is too old.
I saw Joe bound his way to the podium last Saturday night.
I watched Trump struggle as he headed downhill at West Point.
One of them can run, the other barely walks.
Too bad we couldn’t see Ulsaker’s arrest. He must have treated his neighborhood with a fantastic combination holiday show, a Thanksgiving turkey (Ulsaker) lit up like an exuberant front porch Christmas display plugged into a 50,000 volt taser.
6This moron attacked 80-year-old folks on a street corner because they were holding a sign he didn’t like? Chickens**t (Sorry, mama). I hope he gets charged with everything in the book that applies, and found guilty.
7I am getting tired of reading about goonish behavior from Trump supporters.
Here in Montana one of them roughed up a restaurant employee for asking that he wear a mask. In parting, he showed a gun to the person and said “I am going to get you”. Just another Patriot for Trump.
8The first time his majesty came to the St. Regis in Houston to collect money, there were giant signs galore across San Felipe. The six foot high Liar in Chief was my favorite, white background, red letters, to the point.
9All these Trumpster egos have sure ballooned over the past few years.
Besides being such wusses and feeling “threatened” by a sign or a request to wear a mask. Remember that awful woman who knocked over and old lady and kicked her, breaking her leg, because the old lady asked her to wear a mask?
10Shame on that golf-swinging goon! Hope the judge throws the book at him.
Off Topic: the IL House District 14 touch-and-go race I’ve been watching has been won by incumbent Lauren Underwood by 1.2%, 4604 votes. Yay!!! She flipped her district in 2018 so was vulnerable as were others Dems in the same position across the country. I don’t know Lauren but have seen her on tv a couple of times and became a fan. 13According to the “Daily Mail”, there’s a bit more to the story. When the attacker used the golf club: “He said that his golf club broke when it struck the chair the woman was sitting in and that he then pushed her over, police said in their report.”
He swung hard enough to break the club.
And after her husband was attacked, and the perp got in his truck: “The elderly woman gave chase but when she approached the truck, it drove towards her, mounting the curb before speeding off down Centerville Road.” “Ulsaker admitted to driving his pickup truck over the curb in an attempt to scare the woman, but claimed he had no intention of running her over.”
And then he took a swing at an officer. Given that he’s still alive and voted for Cheatolini, you may guess certain physical traits about Ulsaker…

17My mom had that song by Roy Clarke on an album…it is “Thank God AND Greyhound you’re gone.” Love the song and the sign. So, since he swung and missed the “ball” so to speak, does that cost him a stroke?
