Welcome to The World's Most Dangerous Beauty Salon, Inc.
My name is Susan DuQuesnay Bankston. I live in Richmond, Texas, in the heart of Tom DeLay's old district. It's nuttier than squirrel poop here.
I am honored and privileged to know Miss Juanita Jean Herownself, hairdresser extraordinary and political maven. Since she does not have time to fiddle with this internet stuff, I type her website for her and you can read it if you want to. If you don't, she truly does not give a big bear's butt.
A lot of what I post here has to do with local politics, but you probably have the same folks in your local government.
This ain't a blog. Blogs are way too trendy for me. This is a professional political organization.
I’m not sure about the “AOC never mentioned the bad White Deal” cartoon – it seems to imply that moviong to sustainable energy sources caused the Texas power failures, rather than the pitfalls of an unregulated free market as applied to the power industry – where high costs of entry and limited consumer choice result in what Econ 101 calls “market imperfections” and the rest of us call “price gouging” and other (less neutral) terms.
1Great cartoons–except the one knocking AOC, which is simply inaccurate. Frozen windmills did not cause Texas’s problems with the weather.
The first cartoon and the second-to-last are particularly spot-on.
2The first one, and what is shown is the “good” part of the party!
3Yikes!
Amusing except for the frozen windmill one. It was your gas fired plants that failed. By the way, if you had roof top solar you could cut your power back on with a broom.
4I read the windmill cartoon to mock Abbott not AOC.
5The Big Tent has been transformed into a Freak Show midway. See top toon.
6Excellent updates!
7Flip the script at its best! The alternative to AOC and the “Green Deal” are the failed old “Bad White Deals.”
8Toon # 1 is missing something. Hint, it’s orange and IS STILL the repugnantican party.
