And, Yes, There’s More

Ted Cruz. Oh yeah, there’s more …

This FEC advisory opinion has been controversial and there’s no guarantee that the FEC will allow campaign funds to be used to pay for personal bodyguards.

Ted Cruz didn’t wait. He used campaign funds to hire a security firm last fall and they are guarding his home right now.

“Is this Senator Cruz’s house?” the reporter asked a man who stepped out of a vehicle parked in the driveway.

The man, who identified himself as a security guard, said it was and that the senator wasn’t home.

When asked who was taking care of the lonely mutt in the presumably chilly house, the guard said he was.

And if you know where to look, you can find how much money Ted’s donors are paying for this very special service.

Atlas Glinn even has Ted’s picture on the front page of their website. (Scroll to the almost bottom.)

Yep, Ted and his family flew off to Cancun, which is bad enough, but y’all, he left his little tiny poodle at home, alone, standing at the door, crying.

Look closely and see that dog has something around his neck.

I know, I know, it’s real hard to tell, but bygawd it sure the dickens looks like a security guard badge to me.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

Be social and share!

  1. Think this will be the end of Cruz’s political career? He isn’t up for reelection for 3 threes years–and eternity in this day and age. Of course, we can always count on him to do stupid stuff in the future, so there’s that.

  2. so when they left the house was freezing according to heidi and they had no idea when the power would be restored (thankfully for the dog the neighbors said the power was restored late that night)
but if the power had not come back and they had returned on Sat or Sun to a dead dog……..
why not board the dog, leave it with a friend, a neighbor,……hell, pay the security guy to take it home….

I guess it’s equal opportunity heartlessness – to both humans and dogs

QUESTION for JJ and others in TX: One of my generous friends just asked if I know of any reliable organizations that are providing relief for those hardest hit by this crisis in TX. I have heard that the World Central Kitchen is providing food, but are there other groups you can recommend, where aid goes directly to those most in need? (Given that your two Senators and your Governor and Lt Gov seem neither capable of nor interested in helping people, unless they are rich and able to profit off a crisis.) Suggestions will be forwarded! Thanks!

    My first thoughts too.
Did Heidi say to herself, well, the dog should be OK if I leave a bowl of frozen water for her to lick, while we’re on the beach in Mexico?

AOC has raised a million dollars for some of my favorite charities in Texas. I donated to it because I trust her with the money. Click right here.

Ted and Heidi have shown their main focus is themselves, and they are teaching it to their children. In the Mayor’s news conference today, he acknowledged he hadn’t heard from Abbott but he had heard from Biden several times and that he will be coming to Houston. Abbott doesn’t care, Cruz really doesn’t care, Cornyn seems to be in hiding with Patrick – as the Mayor said, when you need government, it’s good for it to be there!

Juanita Jean (5) – many thanks! I just donated to them, and I forwarded the information to my generous friends. Holding you all in the Light, as we say in the Quaker world!

  8. One lucky clown in the QOP car this week – Devin Nunes. His cow may have competition as meme spokesperson, Snowflake the Crooze family dog. Makes a person happy that the ***king moron never had a dog, may Seamus rest in peace.

People who cannot properly reciprocate the unconditional love of a dog have no place in making public policy decisions.

Thanks for the link Ms. Juanita Jean Herownself! Gotta love AOC for helping out with some of the heavy lifting you and your friends do when there’s an emergency.

Between AOC and Beto there is a lesson there, and the next step is not C as in Teddie Crooze. Leadership by example needs to be broadcast to the public and at the MSM. Like the time Senator Warren visited Texas raising money for Texas Democrats instead of carrying away funds. Some Pols “get it” and need to be commended. Maybe others will learn from their examples.

    Stay warm and safe!

  10. Steve from Beaverton says:

If the FEC did something about using political campaign funds improperly (or fraudulently in the case of the Trumpf campaign), maybe these kinds of things wouldn’t happen as frequently as they do. For cruzer and the likes of the Trumpf, campaign funds are literally pig banks.

Actually if the FEC actually did anything.

  11. Jane & PKM:
Realizing that even y’all’s four legged family members were civically engaged for the betterment of civilization as a whole was a shock.
    NOT!

  12. Jane & PKM says:

P.P., thanks but we cannot accept the credit. The Bo and Sunny who “signed” the memo belong to former President and First Lady Obama, while Champ and Major are the First Canines of President and First Lady Biden. Although our 3 house cats and 2 dogs, many ranch dogs and feral barn cats do endorse their letter.

Is that a mezuzah on the right side of the door?

  15. @ buttermilk sky. That’s a bit high for a Mezuzah, and why on earth would they have one?

    15
  16. I heard power in the Cruz house was restored the day before they left which makes Heidi Cruz a liar, saying their house was “FREEZING”!

I hope that’s true for the dog’s sake.
