Friday Rebel Alliance Post

This in from Deb —-

The Trump Administration, which has cause to understand the power of the Twitter, has shut down access to all social media accounts for Govt. Agencies. They are banned from releasing reports, or commenting on factual information before it has been personally approved by the Trump Administration. When The Badlands NPS Twitter account tweeted out climate change information relative to the park it was quickly shut down.

This has caused a number of Alternative Federal Agency Twitter Accounts to pop up. They are doing what real agencies can’t do, speak truth to power. Today, this one came through.

Next step: Close down the Internet! What? You think I’m kidding? Child, you don’t know these people too well, do you?

Political vetting of government agency comments.

You know, I figured there was a pretty good chance that trump and his thugs would reduce the U.S. government to the level of Stalinist Russia. I just underestimated how quickly it would happen.

If you’re not enraged enough to fight in order to reclaim your country, you’re just not paying attention.

    4
  5. Or China, SteveThe Returned.

And not a word from Congress or the Senate…

    5
  6. I am still trying the 202 WH number (202225-3121) I only got thru once; it goes dark. Anyone have another number ? Or tried the other thought to call his hotels?

On the 23d of every month, mail a postcard to:

    President Donald Trump
    1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
    Washington DC 20500

and give him a peace of your mind. It would really be nice if 4 or 5 million postcards arrived around the 25th! He pays attention to that sort of thing….

  8. It is a period of civil war.
    Rebel spaceships, striking
from a hidden base, have won
    their first victory against
    the evil Drumpftic Empire.

    During the battle, Rebel
    spies managed to steal secret
    plans to the Empire’s
    ultimate weapon, the DRUMPF
    STAR, an armored space
    station with enough power
    to destroy an entire planet.

    Pursued by the Empire’s
    sinister agents, Princess
Juanita Jean races home aboard her
    starship, custodian of the
stolen plans that can save her
    people and restore
    freedom to the galaxy….

  12. Mmmnuiemm. A disturbance in the force I sense. What is orange, once was black. No longer white is the house. Mmmnuiemm

    12
  13. Let the Force be with us as we fight the tyrannical Darth Trump and the Evil Republican Empire.
Seriously, this is literally a fight to the death, for healthcare, women care, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Civil Rights, Voting Rights, climate change, clean air and water, freedom of speech and quality education.
    The Rebel Alliance must prevail.

WAY OT: The March for Birth was held in DeeCee today. No, it’s not the March for Life cuz they don’t give a damn if the kid has a good Life after it’s born.

    14
  15. JAKvirginia says:

MORE OT: Front page WaPo today. “Part-human, part-pig embryo is grown in lab”. Crap. They’re making Republicans now! Wonder where they got the pig DNA?

Trumpy does not understand the internet. Poor Trumpy! He is outmatched.

    17
  18. JAK, I wonder where snacilbupeR got the human DNA!

There are “alt” or “rogue” accounts for several government agencies now and I’ve been following them on Twitter. Those are remarkable people, real American heroes and patriots.

    18
  19. Sandridge says:

The Rethuglican Congress is already moving bills to privatize and sell off ALL Federal lands, parks, reserves, mineral rights, etc.
If y’all think that they couldn’t-wouldn’t do this monstrous, irrevocable deed, you are so delusional.

They, unlike Obama and the Caveocrats, know how to seize and exercise raw political power.
An Obama ‘legacy’? It’s being dissolved before your lyin’ eyes. Despite Obama’s decent ideas (except for working/average people), nice demeanor, and general honesty, he will go down in history as perhaps one of the worst presidents ever. Simply due to his massive failure of “Leadership” for his country and party, which lead directly to our descent into totalitarian, monarchistic, theocratic trumpian fascism (we’re going to need a new, single, word for this; before all the books are burned and ‘history’ rewritten).
Welcome to the new, revised “1984” “Animal Farm”.

These scum will not respect nor stop at anything in order to roll back every last good thing ever done by any previous Dem or Rep in history.
They are Hellbent on destroying democracy, America; forming a totalitarian regime in the mold of the DPRK.
I’ll even bet that pr*sident trump was asking PM May about how a monarchy works.

    FIA

    19
  20. That Other Jean says:

Sandridge, Trump wouldn’t be happy at all with a monarchy like Great Britain’s–he needs to go have a chat with the House of Saud. If he threatens to take their oil, maybe they’ll keep him.

    20
  21. Sandridge says:

    That Other Jean,
Not the current queen E’s dainty monarchy. The Henry VIII, Richard III, Crazy George, etc., bloodthirsty, power-mad, Machiavellian ones (with some Selassie, Louis XIV, Nero and Caligua thrown in).

    21
  22. fierywoman says:

    Jay:
I think it was at DKos I read that people are calling Trump hotels to leave messages. But you will be shuttled off to the supposed White House site after you start complaining.

    22
  23. @Sandridge I disagree with your casting of blame on Obama. The general abandonment of rational discourse has been going on for much longer than eight years, and is shared more or less equally by every blundering slogging Democratic ward heeler and every non-voter.

    23
  24. So again, it’s all Obama’s fault. He only brought us back from the brink of another recession. Let’s put the blame on greedy, fearmongering, hate-filled, racist, obstructionist, misogynistic rightwing nutjobs.

    24
  25. JAKvirginia says:

Sandridge: Sorry, man. Can’t take the Obama bashing. Ya wanna blame somebody? Then blame the Dems and lefty indies who couldnt get their butts off the couch to vote in the midterms. Miss JuanitaJeanHerOwnSelf and Bubba worked their butts off in 2014 to get Dems to vote. I hope those lazy bastards are enjoying the crap of A-butt, Paxton and the rest. And did Dems give Bamz a Congress he could work with? Um, no. We hung him out to dry. We did not have his back. Dems have been lacking fir deccades

    #DayofFacts
#DayofFacts is an international social media campaign that will occur on February 17, 2017. On this day, museums, cultural institutions, science centers and other trusted public sources of knowledge will share mission-related content using the hashtag #DayofFacts. While there is no limits on the factual content that you can share, we hope institutions will share content relevant to this particular moment in American history. We hope that by sharing objective facts in a united way with an agreed upon hashtag, we can assure the public that our institutions are still trusted sources for truth and knowledge. By not making an overt political stand but by simply sharing mission-related facts relevant to today’s political moment, we will show the world that cultural institutions can still be trusted.

    26
  27. JAKvirginia says:

    EDIT. (Damn phone.)
… Dems have been lacking for decades. Maybe it’ll get so bad this go-round they’ll wake the eff up! 2018, people! It’s now or never. RESIST? Please. How about RESTORE? Restore the meaning of America. Or how about REFUSE? Refuse to tolerate thus maniacal crap. And then there’s RENOUNCE. Renounce these lying, hypocritical thugs.

    JUST. SAY. NO.

    27
  28. Linda Phipps says:

Sandridge: at the risk of being labeled a frumpy old pedant, let’s not call poor old George III “crazy”. Poor guy had porphyria most likely (some symptons include “Acute porphyria may cause mental shifts, including hallucinations, paranoia, confusion or disorientation” – Web MD), Maybe the Kraken needs a urine test.

    28
  29. JAKvirginia says:

Linda: Just finished “Victoria: The Queen” by Julia Baird. Doctors were concerned that as she aged (70+) she might have symptoms of that ailment like her previous relative. (She didn’t.) Still a much misunderstood condition at that time, late 1800s. Good book, btw.

    29
  30. Tilphousia says:

The Women’s march proved one thing: the Dem base has marched right past its leaders. They had better wake up or be replaced by those who will no be quisling coward collaborators. And on a tiny funny note

    30
  31. Tilphousia says:

Trump hung pictures in the press room of massive crowds he’s said were his inauguration. But the date on the pictures is 21 January. He hung pictures of the Women’s March. Ah, Lady Karma stikes again

    31
  32. @Tilphousia
I sorta mumbled out the same thought while watching edited video of the marches on the electrical teevee. My question is WHO are the folks who organized, coordinated, and executed? Cause from them MUST come the 2018, 2020, and etc Dem candidates for every f’ing office in the land.

    32
  33. Cannot jump on the Obama bashing train. I am amazed that he was able to do what he did considering the complete and total mutiny of the R’s for 8 years. Also, he had to really, really restrain himself as to the ways he could act and react. There were already enough homo twittians more than ready to label him just another angry black man if not worse. Right here and now, my thanks to the Secret Service who had to cope with three times the level of hate ever received by any previous President.

    33
  34. JAKvirginia says:

Tilphousia: Um, no. That is a pic of his inaugural — close-cropped, wide-angle shot that only captures the Capitol grounds which, yes, were packed. (And we know the Mall beyond was not!) No, some fool put the wrong date on it and the excellent, the best people staff he has didn’t catch it. And have yet to fix it! Oy. Four more years of “Oops”.
