Ever Notice How Obama and Ebola Are Almost The Same? Steve Stockman Did.
Texas Republican Congressman (you’re already bracing yourself, aren’t you?) Steve Stockman has an Ebola theory.
Rep. Steve Stockman yesterday chatted with End Times broadcaster Rick Wiles, telling the “Trunews” host that President Obama may be delaying the government response to the Ebola epidemic because he wants the virus to spread. Once it spreads, Stockman argued, Obama will use the Ebola outbreak as a justification to declare emergency powers.
Okay, so when President Obama wants to do something, the Republicans start hollering that it’s government overreach. When he doesn’t, they holler that he’s trying to kill us all.
They need to sneeze. Their brains are dusty.
In Stockman’s case, he’s got it floored in neutral.
Thanks to everybody for the heads up.
The only thing that will help spread Ebola, is the lack of Medicaid funding (turned down by Republican governors) – – leaving their citizens without proper healthcare.
1If Dems had said this stuff about dumbass dubya, wingnuts would be screaming treason and sedition and a bunch of other 10 cent words at Dems.
2Whitey wingnut cut spending for the NIH better than 10 years ago.
3I read down to where it says “End Times broadcaster,” and I quit reading. The rest was so predictable, I didn’t need to spend the time.
4@JJ:
I’m gonna refrain from further comment. Everything posted here today has hissed me off. I DO hate Republicans generally and Tea Bag Talibans in particular.
Micr out!
5These clowns need to get the tinfoil off their hats. They really do think Obama is the Antchrist. And they still think he’s “Coming for your guns!!!” too, though he hasn’t made much of a twitch in that direction in the past 5 3/4 years.
6e platypus onion, repeat after them, “it didn’t happen.” Obama Derangement Syndrome is proceeded with a full vaccine of “Dubya who?” Each and every problem fell from the sky the day President Obama was elected the first time. What rabbit?
Squirrel! Benghazi! Squirrel!™
Selective memory, revised history, denial of facts, consequences? Fergetaboutit, it’s the blah guy’s fault, anything and everything.
Ebola may be the best thing to slap the silly Tea Baggers out of their coma and away from voting against their own interests. Yeah, not holding my breath that they’ll easily understand that universal health care is in everyone’s best interest. My wife and I have a really good policy, but we don’t kid ourselves that it isn’t essentially useless in any sort of epidemic, if preventative medicine isn’t readily available to all.
7Q: What is more lethal than Ebola?
A: Anything that comes out of Steve Stockman’s mouth.
8Oooooo, more “bawling” from the Stockyard! What else could we expect?
9It amazes me that folks let folks like Stockman speak in public.
10Isn’t about time Stockman made his grand exit? From the stage of life, I mean.
11I think an enema would do more than sneezing will.
12What amazes me most of all is this presumption that persons under the President’s direction are somehow turned into automatons programmed by each suceeding POTUS. These nimrods selectively ignore the fact of legions of intelligent persons that are more than capable of derailing a “Strangelovian” move by the higher ups in Govt.
If I worked at the Hawaiian office of registry, the one having “The Certificate”, I would be greatly irked by these repeated statements of malfeasance/incompetence on “my” part.
13“There is nothing in the record of the past two years when both Houses of Congress have been controlled by the Republican Party which can lead any person to believe that those promises will be fulfilled in the future.
They follow the Hitler line – no matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as truth.”
― John F. Kennedy
Kennedy was on top of the Repubs way back!
14That’s what is good about being in politics. One can commit slander without being sued or prosecuted. Right Mr. Stockman?
15This pisses me off so much! This is NOT from ‘The Onion’, but the thoughts of an actual Congressman of our country… a leader in our country… a f’ing Congressman!!!!
If it was some ignorant hick running his moth on a street corner while wearing a tin-foil hat, I would actually be interested in listening to his rants for entertainment purposes… but this is a policy maker in the US Government, a leader of its people, a voice that is supposed to represent the people of America! My disgust with our society has reached new highs.
16Personally I think it is very suspicious that the symptoms of ebola are virtually identical to the symptoms of having to listen to Stockman’s bile: nausea and vomiting, diarrhea (may be bloody), red eyes, chest pain and cough, stomach pain, etc.
Sounds as though Stockman is almost the same as ebola.
17Stockman even bothers to show up for work anymore? He only has a couple more months left until he leaves office. Oh wait … he can stay in Washington and lobby for the Koch Brothers. Or maybe Louie can put him on his payroll. really – wouldn’t we miss Steve-O if he just faded into oblivion?
18I’ve been thinking about this… most of the morning.. I have family in the Dallas area…..
However, not only Texans, but the whole darned rest of the country is screwed.
The first case of a deadly disease, unfortunately shows up in Texas… and then…. there is a second case…. and now…. last I heard…. a third case.
This is the State in the whole damned United States of America…. that does not believe…… in regulations of any kind, and the State where whole towns blow up because of (a)there are no safety regulations … and (b) if there were, there wouldn’t be any enforcement. Why? Because we hate the Federal Government, and all it stands for.
Besides which… we have to pay for Governor Perry’s “Protective Detail” while he globe trots.
Is anybody really surprised that (a) Protocols may not have been followed? and (b) that adequate protective gear might not have been provided to nurses to treat an ebola patient?
Damn folks… that stuff costs money.
And, Texas is not in the bidness of safety. Texas is in the bidness ….. of bidness..
Sorry, America….. you’re screwed.
19Stockman, you idiot. Did you support the Affordable Care Act which would have put more money into American health care?
Did you support expanding Medicaid in Texas so poor and other uninsured people could afford to seek health care?
Did you support funding Ebola vaccine research at CDC and NIH? Did you support funding either of these institutions at the level they need?
Did you support regulating hospitals to ensure that they met higher standards and were thus prepared to deal with unusual diseases?
No, no, no, no. And you blame Obama? You’re a lying, scumsucking, idiot. Shut your mouth.
20I figure any state which does not care enough about its citizens to protect them from a fertilizer plant blowing up in a residential area will elect people like Stockyards and listen to them when they speak inanities. I mean after all Texas elects Gohmert and Rep. bunny pajamas Perry and in the past Delay.Stockyards is not that long a reach and this statement is more or less par for the course.
21doquijoterocket, it’s a Texas problem and a national problem. If the plant doesn’t blow up in their own backyard, simply too many do not care. Then there are those too st00pid to breath who elect to remain clueless, when the plant is in their backyard. Sort of like the woman in KY who loves her KYnect, but will vote for Mitch, because she and he hate the ACA/Obamacare.
The Koch brothers and corporate thugs are supporting RWNJs in almost all of the 50 states. ‘A suck for ALEC is a blow for democracy.’ (borrowed from: “a suck for SAC is a blow for peace.”)
22We are pleased to note that Rep Stocktank is a lame duck and will be gone in January. He ran against John Cornyn for Senate, lost, and did not contest TX District 36.
23We are being governed by imbecilic lunatics… And Stockman is one of them.
24There are two cases of ebola reported in Ontario, Canada. Interesting how Fauxnews, etc don’t report those as loudly nor connect those cases to US politics. (CA & BBC news)
25Corinne, enemas don’t go far enough. Full colonics for all of them!
