OOOOOOKAY …..

In Missouri, Jefferson County Recorder of Deeds Republican Debbie Dunnegan is real proud of our military, except for one minor thing

She wants them to shoot the President.

But, she didn’t mean any harm.

Dunnegan said she merely wanted to know what oath the military took to protect the country from enemies both foreign and domestic.

“I meant no ill intent toward the president. I meant no ill intent toward anybody,” she said.

“Something innocent and simple got twisted into a disaster because it’s an election,” Dunnegan said.

Yeah, right.  That makes sense.  You just wanted to know what the military can do.

Be social and share!

  1. As an army veteran I really resent the implications of her statement. Treason is just fine if your a Republican I guess.

    1
  2. The oath I took was to defend the CONSTITUTION and the United States-in that order.

    2
  3. Corinne Sabo says:

This is more than election year hyperbole. This is criminal.

    3
  4. How about because Obama is not a domestic enemy nor has he done anything criminal except within your pea-brain.

  5. Polite Kool Marxist says:

Just asking? Just kidding? No, Debbie, just st00pid.

    1. Impeachment is part of the process for removing a president from office. Could that they would, neither Mitch McConnell or John Boehner, nor any of the Tea Bagger merry pranksters can draft articles of impeachment out of thin air. In fact, heard anything lately about their threats to sue the President?

    2. Not necessary for you to suit up and boot up to read the UCMJ (Uniform Code of Military Justice), Debbie. http://www.ucmj.us/ We salute the office, not the political party, as difficult as that was during the Dubya years. But to suggest that I, one of my brothers or sisters assassinate our Commander-in-Chief, is treasonous, Debbie.

We have electoral remedies, too, Debbie. Next chance is 2016, may the best woman win.

    5
  6. “…having not put on a uniform or taken any type of military oath, there has to be something that I am just not aware of.”

Debbie, I would say it’s a lot more than that one thing.

    6
  7. not stupid says:

Debbie I think you should be having a visit from the FBI and put you in jail to cool your big feets.

I have a big dislike to people like her.

    7
  8. Wow! This woman should be behind bars. Now. Advocating harm to our President is no trifle. Unfortunately there are so many rwnj’s out there who agree with her, that the federal prisons would be packed. Nonetheless, this is not tolerable.

    8
  9. This woman’s tiny little mind has been warped by listening to rightwing foamers who have been proclaiming Obama the enemy for six years. Mitch McConnell said, on 20 January 2009, that the GOP’s primary mission was to make him a one-term president, and the loudmouths have been saying worse. And then they accuse Obama of treason.

Anybody remember what these same people said about those who dared to criticize Dubya…? Traitors, we were, ought to be stood up against a wall and shot!

I love this country, but it would be so damned restful to live someplace without these rightwing morons trying to kill anything sensible just because a Democrat suggests it, and insisting that everybody conform to their idea of perfect, i.e. themselves.

Where is Pogo when his country needs him?

  11. Polite Kool Marxist says:

maryelle, if a few RWNJs were prosecuted for their sedition, the rest of the cra cra crazies would wind down with their rhetoric.

Meanwhile, it’s time to bring Rupert Murdoch to trial for un-American activities, strip him of his illegal bought citizenship and deport his seditious butt.

We don’t need new laws; we need to implement the ones we have. Cull out a few of the raging lunatics, and the rest of the wannabe followers will retire to their couches.

    11
  12. Geez Louise! As much as I loathed Bush II, this kind of comment (or call to action) would never have occurred to me. These people are beyond sick.

    12
  13. This is what happens when you learn civics from a country western song.

    13
  14. They must have been misspelling the name of the state all this time. Obviously it should have been “Misery.” I sincerely hope that her open-carry permit is taken away from her for that rant. Frightening!

    14
  15. 1smartcanerican™ says:

PKM, I am totally with you. If the laws that are already in place were followed, a lot of the seditious comments would stop as the idiots would be in jail!

May President Obama and his family remain safe and healthy, now and in the future. He has been a wonderful leader and cares so much about all of us, not just the GOP 1%!

    15
  16. Debbie:
This oath of office stuff is real easy to understand, even for maggot like you.

Officers hold their commission at the pleasure of the Commander in Chief, currently Barack Obama. That commission was executed with the advice and consent of the United States Senate. For most officers in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force its right on par with buying their first house or totaling their car the first time. Big Deal.

Enlisted service members swear an oath at enlistment in which they also agree to defend the Constitution AND to obey the orders of the President of the United States, currently Barack H Obama.

By the way, IMHO, since neither oath contains a end date, it is just like the one peace officers and such swear: until they draw their last breath.

    16
  17. Angelo_Frank says:

Someone like this Debbie character has no conception of why I spent over twenty years defending this country.

    17
  18. Well Debbie, you idiot, then we would be susceptible to military coups all the damn time. Do you really want to have a government like Egypt has right now? Really????

    What a maroon.

    18
  19. Sandridge says:

    Micr @16,
You omitted the US Coast Guard and various other government commissioned officers. Such as in NOAA, NASA, and that critical Surgeon General position that remains vacant in the face of a dire medical threat because the seditious Repukes in the Senate are still refusing to approve President Obama’s nominee.

“For most officers in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force”

As far as boonie teabagger Ms. Debbie D: F.U., you traitorous b#&%h, and the hog you rode in on.

    19
  20. Marge Wood says:

You know, I believe this proves that old saying about if you say anything long and loud enough, people will believe it. That gives me the creeps. I’m kind of glad she said it out loud; it might inspire some folks to stand up and say HEY LADY, WHERE YOU FROM, ANYWAY? Personally I think Fox News should be made illegal.

    20
  21. So, when she says “our domestic enemy” is she using the royal or nutcase “our.”

The President is not my domestic enemy.

    21
  22. Debbie, you stupid [redacted/redacted/redacted.] Let me womansplain it to you in womanspeak: (no, dammit, I can’t do that here. It involves Language. More redactions for Momma’s sake.) Standing with Kip and Mike: as a veteran, as an officer who–though long since out of the military formally–feels bound by that oath until death.

Debbie, just shut the [redacted] up. I’m sorry you weren’t in the military (though God knows I wouldn’t want you in my command) because you might have learned something you clearly don’t know now.

    22
  23. What are you missing Debbie? An education in Civics and US History is what you’re missing. My son the “former” Marine, now History teacher, would be most able to fill in your education gaps for you.

What else are you missing? Common decency for one.

@Elizabeth, I join you in the “you stupid [redacted/redacted/redacted.]”

    23
  24. JuanitaJean, I know they are in turmoil at the Secret Service but has this been forwarded to them and the FBI as well? If this does not meet the legal definition of treason I don’t know what would.

Debbie needs a stretch in Danbury, CT. not the easy time place for women in Bryan, TX.

    24
  25. maybe debbie should be made to put on a uniform and defend our country. She could start fighting ISIS fr example.
For her own edification, don’t you know.

    25
  26. So, if I say to the nice police person, I didn’t understand the STOP sign at the corner and that I didn’t mean to run the stop sign and it was a joke that I ran the stop sign and I am too stupid/pig headed to understand the definition of ‘stop’… I don’t get a ticket.

For her to imply that military service people do not understand the definition of treason and for her to suggest that they should act in a treasonous way should elicit outrage, even from the Republicans.

    26
  27. I emailed her at her work email address. I told her what I think of her, how wrong she is, etc. And I did not use a word Momma would disapprove of, though it was really, really tempting.

Scumsucker insulted me and every other veteran and every person in the military. I just WISH I could be the one to arrive at her door with a squad of Marines.

    27
  28. The Oath of Enlistment (for enlistees):
“I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

The Oath of Office (for officers):
“I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance tot he same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.”

OK, Debbie, does that answer your question? To violate this oath on any level of service is to commit treason. And quit the dumb act. No one’s buying it, military or otherwise. Now go to your room and don’t come out until you are damn good and ready to apologize.

    28
  29. JJ and all, cannot figure out how the enlistee oath was put in twice.

    29
  30. e platypus onion says:

Elizabeth-what good is language without a little spice to liven it up some?

    30
  31. TexasEllen says:

This woman is beyond stupid and ignorant.

    31
  32. @Elizabeth:
TWMDBSI could put a fire team together in 5 internet minutes or less. Probably more than one.
