El Paso
The city of El Paso, Texas, has been hit twice with horrific Covid attacks. They had to bring in freezer trucks to store bodies and the city coffers are rattling with pocket change, not folding money.
For two years, Donald Trump and his traveling ego inflating road show has owed the city of El Paso half a million dollars in city expenses for a campaign rally.
“We all are seeing firsthand the struggles that everyday El Paso families have, in addition to the challenges that we have in our own budget,” City Rep. Peter Svarzbein said during Tuesday’s council meeting. “So this amount of money is not inconsequential and also the message that we send that nobody is above the law is also an important one for our community to understand as well.”
So they hired a lawyer to try to collect it for them. Ya know, after seeing Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani perform, they figured that had a decent shot at winning in court. I like their odds.
The lawyer is being hired on contingency and will try other methods to collect before filing a lawsuit. You know, like hollering, I guess.

Hmm, I wonder if his majesty paid Houston for the rally in Toyota Center. There might be a chance for a class action suit!
1My dream of more than adequate punishment for tRump is to have everyone he has stiffed to gang up on him in court and WIN! Trump will likely plead poverty but hells bells everything with his brand on it could possibly go to these people. All that real estate in town and the golf clubs in the countryside like Mar A Lago where he is hoping to hole up after Jan. 21 – if the prosecutor in the Souther District of New York hasn’t nabbed him already and jailed him!
2Just remember that decency and caring are not part of Trump’s campaign. They’ll never pay.
3I like their chances against Rudy as well. While everyone else is playing chess, Rudy is playing micro dimensional checkers. I doubt Trump is even paying him so Rudy has to resort to using Groupons. He thought he was getting half off the rack rate at Four Seasons Hotel, but it was actually half off the rake rate at Four Seasons Landscaping. And who knows what kind of service he thought he was planning to get at Jiffy Lube when they winterized his head with 5W-20.
