The Trump Administration, represented by Peter Navarro and other senior officials in the White House, negotiated a new contract with Philips. The Administration agreed to pay Philips almost five times the price than under the previous contract..
And get this, the ventilators won’t be ready until 2022!

Nobody in this administration knows how to do anything but make a bad situation worse. Since their entire job is to keep Vladimir Putin happy and not get Trump’s loans called in, that works for Trump. The American people? Pffffft. They don’t matter at all–except for the rich ones who can help Trump get re-elected so he can avoid prison.

4I’m sure Trumpf will figure out a way to blame Obama for forcing him to cancel the order for ventilators. He’s such a forward thinker and fabulous businessman. Wonder if anyone in his family is profiting off spending half a billion to get them 3 years too late.
5You know the Republicans are going to go out of their ways to congratulate Philips. After all, that’s how the market is SUPPOSED to work — when demand is high you hike the price up. No problem there!
Of course, what they won’t admit is that the savvy customer orders something they know they’ll need down the road when demand is low and so is the price. Which is exactly what President Obama did. THAT little factoid they will ignore completely.
6And of course, now it appears that using a ventilator DECREASES one’s odds of surviving Covid19, so we don’t really need them. Maybe they can use the ventilator intubation tube to shine a light down people’s throats?
7OK. Here it comes. turns out those old iron lungs from the polio days are better than ventilators. Wonder who in the White House is going to order them at a price equivalent to what the Original Moon Shot cost? And deliver them AFTER everyone has been vaccinated against COVID.
