Attorney General Bill Barr heaved his butt on morning teevee this morning.  In a rambling lawyerite interview, he denied that chemical irritants were used on peaceful protestor at the White House.

MARGARET BRENNAN: There were chemical irritants the park police has said–

BARR: No, there were not chemical irritants. Pepper spray is not a chemical irritant. 

I can see where he got confused.  This was gluten-free, organic, natural, non-GMO, raised without cages pepper spray so that ain’t no damn chemical.

Hey, everything is chemical, except, you know, ideas — like peace, love, empathy, tolerance.  Everything else is a chemical.  In a restaurant (remember those?) some guy four tables over speaking very loudly is a chemical irritant.

Look, pepper spray ain’t Agent Orange, but it’s not Eau de Democracy either.

So, while Barr is Attorney General, pepper spray will be known as a spicy baptism.

Two National Guard troops were struck by lightning in Lafayette Park, where some of their comrades had fired chemical irritants and less-lethal bullets on peaceful protesters.

I think God has sent a warning, Brothers and Sisters.

The main thing I’m wondering:  did Mexico pay for it?

I’m figuring we need to name this thing or at least figure out what we can use it for once he leaves.

Well, think about it.  Now that it’s common knowledge that some of Trump’s massive security don’t have any identifying markings or names on their uniforms, can just anybody in riot gear start being a Trump’s Troop?  Isn’t this kind of an invitation?

Last month Bexar County (think San Antonio) Republican Party Chairwoman Cynthia Brehm announced that Coronavirus “has been promulgated by the Democrats to undo all of the good that President Trump has done for our country.”

Democrats asked Republicans running for office in Bexar County to condemn that statement.  Crickets.  Total silence.

So, Brehm saw that as a signal that she had the approval of party officials and yesterday she wrote on Facebook …

She has taken it down from Facebook.  And sure ’nuff local Republicans acted all surprised that this crazy woman was crazy.  They’ve asked her to step down.  So now she can spread this goofy stuff through the party’s email system to keep it out of prying eyes.

I’m sure that Alex Jones will have her as a guest next week.

Just a heads up from customer Deb T.  The Missouri Baptist Newsletter editorializes Trump’s trip to church and it’s not what you’d expect at all…

All this so that President Donald Trump could walk over to that church for a photo op with a Bible.

Not to enter. Not to worship. Not to pray. Not to confess. Not to listen to God. But to awkwardly pose with a borrowed Bible.

And that is what it means to take the Lord’s name in vain.

Yeah, Missouri Baptists.  Almost made me want to get born again again.
