I Think We Might Have Established New Heights of Surrealism

December 04, 2011 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I dunno.  This might be the seventh sign.

Ron Paul and Donald Trump are slapping each other in public.  I can’t wait until the hair pulling part.

Fresh off snubbing Donald Trump by refusing to participate in a debate he’s moderating, Ron Paul blasts his fellow GOP presidential candidates for paying the billionaire businessman so much credence.

“I don’t quite understand the marching to his office,” Paul said on CNN’s State of the Union this morning, referring to the parade of presidential candidates who’ve met with Trump in recent months. “I didn’t know he had the ability to lay on hands and anoint people.”

Paul rejected the debate invitation by deeming Trump beneath the presidency, while Trump released a statement saying Paul is “clown-like” and “willing to lie” and “either very jealous of Mr. Trump, stupid, or a combination of both.” The debate is scheduled for Dec. 27 in Des Moines, Iowa.

You know, if this was in a theater, I’d have to pay $10 cash American money to see it.  Thanks to the Republican Party, the same good folks who brought you Sarah Palin and Dubya Bush, I can watch it at home for free.  In my damn pajamas.  Is this a great country or what?

I Full Well Know I’m Beating a Dead Horse, But This Fool Is Coming Back To Texas

December 04, 2011 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Bless his heart, the lower he gets in the polls, the more IQ points he sheds.

Last night at Mike Huckabee’s Presidential Forum – and what this world really needs is Juanita Jean’s Bitchin’ Betty and the Sequined Backhoes Presidential Forum sponsored by the good folks at Aqua Net and Lovely Lady’s line of professional nail care products, and then you would start taking these Presidential forums more seriously – poor ole Rick Perry tried to claim that the President has a magic wand called “Executive Order” which he can use to block the implementation of the Affordable Health Care Act.

Just to make sure he wasn’t having one of those brain fart things, they asked him 4 times, and all 4 times he claimed to be Generalissimo Francisco Franco.

And I have to tell you that he gets so excited that little spittle things form at the corners of his mouth when he says  that he can fire civil servants and replace them with people who agree with him.  You know, like Dewayne down at the bowling alley and half the population of Poteet, Texas.   Helluva Job Brownie will now run the remaining two public agencies Perry doesn’t get rid of.

And he’s coming back to Texas, y’all, with all these new fangled ideas in his head.

And you thought we were screwed before this?  You do not even know screwed.

Thanks to Stephen for the heads-up.

Alert The Media!

A great discovery has been made.

Cannabis may help keep Alzheimer’s disease at bay.

In experiments, a marijuana-based medicine triggered the formation of new brain cells and cut inflammation linked to dementia.

But let’s not stop there.

Other experiments showed that the drug acts on parts of the brain involved in memory, appetite, pain and mood.

Crap, I did not know cannabis could so that.  Especially that appetite, mood, and pain thing.  Did you know that?  Hell, that needs more research.  I don’t know that anybody has ever noticed that before.

And the study’s conclusion?

It is likely such a drug would be taken to prevent the disease, rather than treat it.

Asked if those with a family history of Alzheimer’s should smoke cannabis to prevent them developing the disease, Dr Wenk said: ‘We’re not saying that but it might actually work.

So, if I start forgetting crap, somebody remind me to sue the State Democratic Executive Committee.

Thanks to Carol for the heads-up.

Herman Cain’t

December 03, 2011 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, as we all know, Herman Cain will be dropping out of the Presidential race tomorrow to spend more time with his wife screaming at him at the top of her lungs.  Or that he’s making a special guest appearance on Sister Wives.

There is also the possibility that he’ll emerge with a black eye and achy kneecaps to say, “Ladies, I’m single so let’s mingle.”  Or that from now on, he’s only going to have affairs with all Newt Gingrich’s ex-wives.

I found this interesting bit of information.

He said he would clarify the next steps of the campaign and assured backers the affair claim was “garbage.” But he also said he needed to consider what he would do with campaign donations already banked if he dropped out of the race.

I dunno, dude, how many other ladies are you supporting?  That stuff can get expensive.

The Daily Newt (Gawd, I Love This Man)

On November 30th, in Council Bluff, Iowa, Newt Gingrich announced —

Remember, this is the best food stamp president in history. So more Americans today get food stamps than before. And we now give it away as cash — you don’t get food stamps. You get a credit card, and the credit card can be used for anything. We have people who take their food stamp money and use it to go to Hawaii.

Pants on fire.

And you can’t spend it at Tiffany’s either.

Texas used to give actual stamps, but they got sold on the street for money.  So, in came the credit card thing.  Less fraud = good idea.  But items in the grocery store are clearly marked with what you can buy and can’t buy.

Now.  Let’s get to the real point.  Newt Gingrich took money to lobby, and he’s calling the kettle black?

Yep, pants on fire.  But then again, from his love life, it’s probably nothing new.

Your Daily Dose of Irony Brought To You Courtesy of Rick Perry

The Texas Lege got all fancy pants about moving around the dates of the primary and filing deadlines.  (As a side note, all of this may be totally screwed by the redistricting mess that the GOP got us into.)

Texas also has an odd law that an officeholder must resign his current job if he announces for another elective office more than one calendar year before the new job would start.

So, with moving all the filing dates, we also had to amend the Texas Constitution to allow officeholders to announce for another job 13 months ahead of time instead of 12.  It passed in November 8th election.

The problem is that we can’t seem to chase down Rick Perry to get it signed into law.  Elected officials all over Texas who want to run for another office are screwed glued and tattooed until Rick Perry moseys his silly butt back to Texas to sign it into law.

The bottom line: Any county official who files for a different office before Perry signs the election results would automatically lose their job.

To add a cherry on top, this information has been pretty much kept secret, so nobody has a head count yet of how many elected officials in the state lost their job by announcing for office this week, which they were supposed to be able to do except for that Rick ain’t here thing.

And yet, here is the Texas Governor, running for one office while campaigning for another — like no one else in Texas is allowed to do.

Rick’s in California.  He sure the hell ain’t riding no wave, so no tellin’ what he’s doing.  Maybe Dancing With the Stars will have an announcement soon.
