Oh Girl, Just Hush

October 24, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, brace yourself.

Apparently, Sarah Palin ain’t finished.

Sarah Palin decried President Obama’s handling of Libya on Wednesday in a Facebook post titled “Obama’s Shuck and Jive Ends With Benghazi Lies.”

“Why the lies? Why the cover up? Why the dissembling about the cause of the murder of our ambassador on the anniversary of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil?” Palin wrote. “We deserve answers to this. President Obama’s shuck and jive shtick with these Benghazi lies must end.”

Girl, you’re gonna drool all over your Manolo Blahniks, slip, and slide your little patootie all the way to Russia.

Just hush.  You could make the moon blush, Girl.

Thanks to Deb for the heads up.

Lubbock, Sweet Lubbock

Lubbock, Texas, is 250 miles from nowhere.  It’s at the crossroads of Hell and Hole Streets.

Being out there all isolated does strange things to people.  Remember this guy?

Lubbock Judge Tom Head told local news station Fox 34 that, if President Obama were to be re-elected, “civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe” would likely follow.

“And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy,” Head said.

“Now what’s going to happen if we do that, if the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops. I don’t want ‘em in Lubbock County. OK. So I’m going to stand in front of their armored personnel carrier and say ‘you’re not coming in here,’” he said.

Well, it looks like he’s getting a leg up on getting this started.

In Texas, County Judges like Judge Head aren’t real judges.  Hell, the one we have in my county has a legitimate high school diploma but no actual degree beyond that.  For the most part, County Judges in Texas are the town drunk or, as in the case of Lubbock, the most ignorant redneck you can find.  I think a law was passed in 1999 that holds the same standard for Governor.

But I’ll say one thing for county judges – they sure know how to deface a sign.

Geeezzzz … Even God Asked Mary for Permission

October 24, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Ya know, when I heard about Indiana Republican senate nominee Richard Mourdock say that pregnancy from rape is “God’s will,” my level of incredulous rose so high that it stopped things – evil things – from happening in my brain.  That’s God’s will to keep my sweet butt out of prison for going all Lorena Bobbitt on Indiana Republican senate nominees.

But that incredulous also kept a scripture out of my head until I was reminded of it this morning by someone gifted with a clear mind.

Luke 1:26-38 says that God Hisownself sent the Angel Gabriel to ask Mary’s permission prior to impregnating her with the Son of God.  The scripture says that Mary answered Gabriel, “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.”

If even God has to ask permission, do you think for one minute that it’s God’s will for mere mortals not to?  And contrary to what they believe, Republican men are, for the most part, mere mortals.  The ones that aren’t just mere mortals are first degree jerks.  True, there are far more of them in the second category.

Republicans are facing forty miles of rough road if they think women are going to give them clubs and willingly go back to the cave.

Can I get an Amen?

And thanks to customer Laura for this great YouTube.

Hot Damn on a Chocolate Cake

I just want you to see this thing of beauty.

Of note

The Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a June 2011 injunction from a lower-court judge blocking a law that would have prevented Planned Parenthood of Indiana from participating in the state’s Medicaid program.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services also spoke out against the law at the time, arguing in a letter to Indiana’s state Medicaid director that the proposed change violates federal Medicaid rules by restricting beneficiaries’ freedom to choose any qualified health care provider.

Now I want everybody to cuddle up to a moment of silence to ask that the same thing happens in Texas.

It would give Rick Perry an aneurysm.  He’d have to go out the N-head ranch and kill something.

Thanks to Sharon for the heads up.

And Just When You Think You’ve Seen It All …

Well, I have to admit right here up front that I thought our Republican County Commissioner candidate took the cake when he got caught double voting three times in different states, but it appears that Texas King of Republican County Commissioner Candidates Bozos might be a tight race this year.

Ole Yantis: Spending like a Republican

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The $62,800 in water utility funds that former Tom Green County Precinct 4 Commissioner Yantis Green misused included, among more than 1,000 illegitimate credit card transactions, donations to Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, the West Texas Boys Ranch, and money spent on meals at Dairy Queen, according to documents released to the Standard-Times Monday.

I would like to make it clear that it was not Alfredo’s Dairy Queen.  Alfredo has a sign in his Dairy Queen saying that he reserves the right to refuse service to Republican county commissioners.

The credit card purchases ranged from everyday expenses such as dry cleaning and gasoline to airline tickets and motorcycle parts.

The second transaction that Green made with the credit card, in June of 2007, is described as “Romney for President” for $100. The Romney campaign was also the beneficiary of a later donation, as well campaigns conducted by Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann.

Since it’s hard to tell where all the 1,000 examples of misuse happened, I would like to suggest that they check it for hair gel from the Home Shopping Network.

Thanks to Frank for the heads up!

Yes, Because That’s the Kind of People We Are

Lubbock, Texas, ain’t the end of the world, but you can see it from there.

And the Democrats in Lubbock are the same bleeding hearts and nice folks you find in Democrats all over Texas, so it seems a bid odd that overnight they would turn into women who carve a B on their face for Barack and blame black men or put up a lynching chair in their front yard.  Or even, like in my neighborhood, puts this sign in their yard.

But, they must have because the Republican Party chairman says so.

Apparently, we have taken to vandalizing our own signs.

A Lubbock homeowner says Democratic Party signs in her yard were shot at, covered in brown paint, and had racial slurs written on them over the weekend. The Lubbock Democratic Party says other campaign signs showing support for President Obama were also stolen.

Kenny Ketner, the Democratic Party chair, says the latest acts of vandalism have gone too far, and he called the acts “racist garbage.”

However, the Lubbock Republican Party says the circumstances are suspicious.

Carl Tepper, Republican Party chair, said, “I have a weird suspicion that the Democrats might have damaged their own signs. It’s an outlandish story.”

Yeah, because Texas Republicans aren’t doing enough on their own to look like hate filled racist.

Thanks to Teresa for the heads up.
