Where Is Eve Rockford When You Really Need Her?

November 04, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Okay, so while Eve Rockford (see below) was getting all mortified over bottles of water, another – yes, another – case of voter fraud was perpetrated on this great county by a Republican.

You recall Fort Bend’s own Bruce Flemming, who suffers from acute serial voter fraud, voted in two states.  But, holy cow!, this woman tried it at two polling places in the same damn city.

A registered Republican was arrested by the FBI on Friday for trying to vote twice in Henderson, Nevada. Roxanne Rubin tried to vote twice at two different polling locations. At the second location, they checked her name in the database and her name came up as having already voted. Ms. Rubin tried to claim their database was wrong, and that she hadn’t voted. But they weren’t buying it.

An investigation ensued and she was arrested at the casino where she works on Friday.

Let this be a lesson – gambling at a polling place ain’t smart.

Thanks to Mike for the heads up.

Horror of Horrors!

Y’all, clutch your hands to your breasts, hang your head, and sigh deeply.

The NAACP has gotten involved in humanitarian efforts.  And they did it in the Acres Homes area of Houston.

I know.  It’s shocking.

The way True the Vote tells it, those NAACP people were intimating people at the polls, probably Republicans,  into voting Democratic by giving voters bottles of water in Houston’s 90 degree weather yesterday and helping move the elderly people to the front of the line, which, by the way, was curled around the building all day long.

What True the Vote did not tell you is that Houston broke all kinds of voting records yesterday and it was so hot that reportedly one of the True the Vote men was frying a steak on his bald spot.

The Acres Homes area is an almost totally African American precinct so it was highly unlikely that there are any Republicans there except for the really pissed off True the Vote people, who are notoriously glaringly white.  White like Eve Rockford from True the Vote who is certain, certain I tell you, that giving thirsty people some water is a partisan political act beyond the pale.  And moving the elderly and the handicapped to the front of the line just screams “Vote Democratic!”  Okay, so she might be right.  Paul Ryan’s hero Ayn Rand would stand by and gleefully watch them die.

After handing out water and advocating for President Obama, the NAACP members started handpicking and moving people to the front of a long voting line inside the polling place according to the incident report. After multiple complaints from voters about the line cutting, Rockford received a phone call from downtown telling her to “stand down.”

Stand down, of course, is a sweet Texas phrase meaning “Are you freekin’ nuts?”  Giving people water in Houston’s heat and moving elderly people to the front of the line is what we call “Christian duty.”

But, the rightwing calls it an invasion!

.

Invasion?  Honey, I think when they told you to stand down they really said Calm The Hell Down, Woman!

Even True the Vote admits that it was only three people, but they were all black men and you know how scary black men are, especially those wearing NAACP shirts and giving water to people who are thirsty and hot.

Members of True the Vote get little gold stars on their badges if minorities die of heat and dehydration while waiting to vote.  Poor Eve just barely missed her gold star, but bless her heart, she did everything she could to earn it.

But you haven’t heard the worst.

Texas State Representative Sylvester Turner, a former Texas NAACP leader, was also seen outside the building talking with voters.

Imagine that!  A state representative standing 100 feet from the door of a voting location talking to voters.  What the hell has this country come to?

And rightwing bloggers are shocked that the lamestream media hadn’t picked up this obviously important story:  NAACP Helps Black People and State Rep Sylvester Turner Legally Campaigns In Front of His Polling Place.

Alert the damn media!

Thanks to Ralph for the heads up.

Another Reason Why the Only Man in a Dress You Should Trust is RuPaul

November 03, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Look, Father, I don’t mean to be disrespectful but …. just who the damn crap hell do you think you are?

I’ve had it with you boys in dresses.

Thousands of area Catholics attending Mass this weekend will hear a message about the Roman Catholic Church’s objections to elements of the Affordable Care Act through a letter Peoria Bishop Daniel Jenky is requiring all priests to read.

So hungry children are more important to you than health care for them and their mothers?

I just have one more tacky thing to say.  Obviously Bishop Jenky isn’t into that sharing the fish and the loaves, because he ate the whole damn bakery.  Obviously gluttony has been removed as a deadly sin.

But, let me change my advice.  Don’t trust a man in a muu-muu.  Ever.  Any of them.  RuPaul wouldn’t be caught dead in a muu-muu.

Thanks to Ken for the heads up.  And Yes, I know I’m going to hell.

Because Hungry Cold People Will Always Vote for Plutocracy

Fox News has it floored in neutral again.  They are making a lot of noise, wasting a lot of gas, getting no where and looking silly.

Again.

Here ya go

The hosts of Fox & Friends on Friday suggested that NBC should postpone a Hurricane Sandy telethon until after the election because making sure that the event did not benefit President Barack Obama was more important than helping storm victims.

No.  Seriously.  They did.

Doocy recalled that during a telethon for 2005 Hurricane Katrina, singer Kayne West had declared that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

“How is NBC going to control what the people say?” the Fox News host wondered.

Bolling noted that NBC had waited for 10 days to host an event to support victims of the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

“It let the city get its feet under itself first,” Bolling insisted. “This just seems like a rush job because the election is going to be three days after that.”

“Is it a hurricane benefit or a concert for Obama?” Doocy added.

“I don’t know,” Bolling replied.

Dude, Ted Nugent is too mentally deranged to do a concert and Clint Eastwood has been taken back to the home.

And, you can’t control what people say.  Cool. huh?   America, Honey.

But the real question is — why doesn’t Fox News do a relief effort fundraiser?  Ya think it’s because they are aware of what stingy jerks their viewers are?

Thanks to Rick for the heads up.

Okay, so I hate to encourage blasphemy, but it sure beats the hell out of voting for Romney.

So far 1.6million people have pledged to do it, which ironically is the same exact number of people who believe Barack Obama can’t be president because he wasn’t born in America.  I wonder where they think Jesus was born.

Plus, I have a feeling that if Jesus wins the election and Rush Limbaugh is still on the radio, then Jesus ain’t coming back anytime soon.

Thanks to Ralph for the heads up.

They just don’t think these things through.
