Big Bad John And Dirty Money

July 15, 2020 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Texas senior senator John Cornyn has been in Washington for 20 years and latest polling shows him with a name recognition in Texas of 32%.  That’s because John lays low, keeps his hand out for money, and sells out his home state for backroom power.  He’s particularly bad at making speeches and answering questions off the cuff.  That’s why you only see him standing in the back behind Mitch McConnell in press conferences.

Here ya go —

Yeah, he’s dumber than bean dip.  It’s truly a display of kindness that Senator Harris did not reply, “Yo, Sherlock, you spent time thinking up that stunningly stupid question?”

Anyway, Cornyn has a financial backer by the name of James Dannenbaum, of Dannenbaum Engineering.  Dannenbaum Engineering, famous for its Bridge to Nowhere in South Texas, has found itself in a tad bit of trouble.

A dominant Texas engineering company led by a former University of Texas regent has agreed to a $1.6 million fine because top-level staffers facilitated hundreds of thousands of dollars of illegal campaign contributions.

They admitted they did it. The scheme was this – politicians cannot take corporate contributions. So, Dannenbaum had its employees give contributions and then reimbursed them with corporate money.

Dannenbaum, who was tapped to serve as a UT regent under Gov. Rick Perry, has been a major donor to Sens. John Cornyn and Ted Cruz, as well as Gov. Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton and Mayor Sylvester Turner.

At the time all this news broke, Cornyn agreed to reimburse the donations to the US Treasury, as required by law.

However, his leadership PAC, called The Alamo PAC, has not bothered to give the money to the US Treasury.

Do you wanna know why he has not done it?  Because you can’t trust John Cornyn to call the dogs unless they’ve dug up money.

Let me tell you how aware John Cornyn is of Texas.  During the primary run-off, his campaign bought teevee ads attacking the candidate who lost last night.  It probably got that candidate more votes, but he still lost and always was going to lose.  Cornyn just could not resist getting to air a negative ad about a black man.  Seriously. The disclaimer should have said, “I’m John Cornyn and I approved this ad because I hate black people just like Donald Trump does.”

Y’all, help us get rid of this guy.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

Behind RichBitchComradeMitch? I always thought that was either social cuddling or party pecking order.

Maybe the hens softly haggling for the rooster’s perch?

We all know it’s coming, get ready for the dirtiest election season ever.
As an example, a Texas Republikan primary runoff down here yesterday in TX-23 [retiring Will Hurd’s district] has two ultra-RWNJ candidates about seven votes apart.
One, Reyes, backed by DetesTed Cruz, the other, Gonzalez, backed by trump hisself. There were a bunch of really low attack ads flying around, most from Comrade T’s toady.
Just wait until a winner shakes out, they’ll go after the TX-23rd Democratic candidate with every dirty ratfucking trick they have.
That Democrat is Gina Ortiz Jones, who almost beat Hurd two years ago. So give her as much $upport as you can.

COVIDCornyn’s minions will now be going after M.J. Hegar in the Texas US Senate race too, so let’s see if we can get her $upport and enthusiasm up into Beto territory!

  4. i figured he was attacking west because he wanted to *help* west. almost worked. something almost worked. west closed a heckuva lot of ground in the last couple weeks.

but fortunately us democrats saw through all that and nominated the totally inexperienced option because she once flew a helicopter.
