Whoever wrote and produced this did a fine job.

We’ll find out before all too long if it worked sufficiently or not.

  2. Looking forward to seeing Biden debate the Golden Gibbon who will probably be knocking his knees and looking for a flag to grab.

  3. cgregory says:

I hope he doesn’t believe in the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny or reasonable people on the other side of the aisle….

    4
  4. Uncle Joe looks like he’s trying to be the D’s answer to Harold Stassen.

Personally, I’d rather nominate someone who’s younger and smarter than I am.

    5
  5. Malarkey says:

When I was a freshman at the University of Delaware, Joe spoke to my Poli-Sci class. Afterwards, I introduced myself and said he owes me a nickle every time he uses my name. He still hasn’t paid up.

    6
  6. I am voting for WHOEVER wins the Dem primary.

    7
  7. MaryAnne says:

I thought the speech was a wonderful moment in time in a sea of insanity.

It is much too early to make a choice, but Joe did a great job of explaining Democratic values.

    Thank you! Joe!

    Buttigieg & Abrams 2020.

    I don’t care who’s POTUS/VPOTUS…

  9. The Democrat says:

Joe’s “hands on approach’ will be most welcome. His admirable way in handling the “scorned” gold-digger Anita Hill will be remembered fondly. He had the guts to call her out. He was right for voting for our forever-wars. He was also correct and had the balls to vote against allowing grifters to file bankruptcy for outstanding student loans. Joe Biden gives me hope and his efforts and past make me so very proud.

  10. are you kidding me?

    11
  11. Personally, I hope someone more progressive ideals wins the primary. But I will only vote for a Democrat.

    12
  12. I haven’t made up my mind yet and will vote D no matter who the nominee is. I just hope it’s not Joe.

I was a Berner last time around and am leaning in that direction again.

Anita Hill May have been scorned by the male establishment, but she is no gold digger. Her courage in standing up to Clarence Thomas was inspiring to millions of women who have experienced degradation at the hands of male bosses. Joe Biden’s dismissive treatment of her during the hearings still rankles. It may be the one thing that prevents me from voting for him.

  14. Ray in Jerrytown says:

I sense a wee bit of sarcasm in The Democrat’s post.

    15
  15. It is only fair that a completely owwned and operated subsiderairy of MasterCard/Visa has entered the primary.
And just to ensure his owners he won’t stray his first fundraiser is hoste by a law firm who specialize in Union Busting.
Hey if demented donnie could get some union members to think he cared there is no reason that uncle joe can’t pull the same scam.

  16. Adam Eran says:

This is a guy who voted for the Iraq War. The “Patriot Act” came from a bookshelf in his office. He also voted to tighten bankruptcy so student loans can’t be retired through that process. Government is literally garnishing Social Security checks now to pay student loans.

His noble words (with the subtext that we’re not racists like those Trumpers) are just more malarky. But then Obama got by on noble words. As Ilhan Omar says, Obama was a “pretty face who got away with murder.”

If this is what the Democratic establishment thinks will win hearts and minds, I’ve got some swamp land in Florida they’ll love!

    17
  17. Enough with the Boomers! (I am one.) It’s time for new generations.

Kamala Harris/Amy Klobuchar, in either order. No more white guy presidents, at least for awhile. I will vote for the Democratic nominee, no matter who it is.

Now THAT, is what I call a plan. Sign me up.

  19. Grandma Ada says:

I also am not looking forward to a Biden run – I think we need someone with fresh ideas and how to carry them out. Pundits say we vote our pocketbooks but I am tired of the rampant criminality in the White House and I think when this is all over, will show up in congressional accounts. BTW, who is running against McConnel?

    20
  20. Sandridge says:

What ‘Adam Eran’ and others said.
Despite his many faults, I like Biden.
I’ve been watching him since the 1970’s (yeah, he became a Senator in 1973); how many of y’all were aware of him that long ago?
He used to be one of the ‘go to’ interviewees on the PBS MacNeil-Lehrer Newshour, usually opining on some foreign topic after getting back from an overseas junket…errmm…trip.

Unfortunately, Biden has tried before, he’s an outdated, past-his-prime, IMO unelectable, wrong choice for today’s Democrats. He’s a pale ‘third way’ centrist imitation of Obama, and y’all may remember my very low opinion of Obama as Prez (an utter leadership failure, who facilitated where we are today: on the verge of an autocratic fascist reich).

I’d support, vote, and donate for a Democratic pillbug against tRump or any Rethug, but good ol’ Joe ain’t gonna beat Comrade Bonespurs if it comes to that.
Please let the Dems nominate somebody who can decisively defeat RAT45!

    21
  21. I solemnly swear to vote for the Democratic nominee even if they are not my first choice. Giving Trump a second term is unthinkable.

    22
  22. it gives me hope as well, hope that both Biden & Sanders wake up, look around, and realize the party, and the world, has passed both of them by. recognizing this, they both decide that now would be a good time for them to retire.

    23
  23. The thing is Debbo, Boomers vote and kids don’t. The millennial trainers at my gym (one male, on female) didn’t even know who RGB is- think they know who any of the young, lesser known Dem candidates are? So unless we can get the kids out to vote, it may be safer to have gray hair on the ticket- as depressing as that may be. (I’m a Boomer too)
