A REALLY Bad Day…
- As JJ pointed out, Roger Stone got the book thrown at him today, convicted of all seven felony charges of lying and obstruction. Those convictions were critical to bring the the forefront of our nation’s conscience that lying to the congress and the FBI is a CRIME; a serious CRIME.
- Add to that the virtually flawless testimony of Marie Yovanovitch, the former Ambassador to Ukraine who had been recalled and smeared by Trump because she got in the way of his drug deal Giuliani was trying to pull off. She was very straightforward, non-partisan, and professional, and even acknowledged the appearance of conflict with Hunter Biden’s board seat on Burisma’s board.
- The big news of the day, though, is when Trump committed another felony (and added another article to his impeachment) LIVE on Twitter and national television when he tweeted a personal attack against Yovanovitch. When the tweet came out, Schiff halted the questioning, and read the tweet to her, soliciting her immediate response. Her response was muted, but talked about her career as a professional being stationed in troubled places around the world whose troubles didn’t start with her. The backlash against Trump was swift and loud, and even Fox Noise talking heads spoke out against Trump’s actions. When the Trump National Network is speaking out, you know it’s bad.
All of this adds up to a bad day for Trump, a very bad day. I found it immensely entertaining.
Comrade Bonespurs tweets out: “…The U.S. now has a very strong and powerful foreign policy…” .
Suurrre Donneiovich and MoscowMitch, a policy designed, commanded and controlled, bought and paid for, by your puppetmaster Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
1Did my heart good to hear the applause she got at the end. People like her restore my faith in America – you then realize it’s just this administration that stinks – not the whole country.
2Trump should quit while he’s ahead, or at least not any deeper in the swamp than where he’s already standing, and sinking fast.
3The hits keep coming for IQ4.5. Bloomberg is reporting that Rudy Giuliani is currently under investigation by federal prosecutors for “possible campaign finance violations and a failure to register as a foreign agent as part of an active investigation into his financial dealings.” Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, Rudy associates have already been charged. Bets are on for who flips first, Rudy or one of the boys.
Heard enough yet, Moscow Mitch?

5People like her are amazing.
And inspiring.
But IMHO it’s not just this administration.
It’s the percentage of our fellow citizens who get their reality from the Ailes Fox propaganda network.
Because of that I’m in awe of her courage to step up into the spotlight, knowing full well that she would be enraging some of the people who get their reality that way.
Suzanne Melton @10 on Guilty, Guilty, etc. posed the question of our time.
6Can the president pardon someone for a crime committed FOR the president?
Can anyone say constitutional crisis?
Did you notice that Stone carried a nice red leather Bible as he went into court today?
I guess that didn’t fool the jury.
7Fox News has occasionally criticised Trump.
8Check out OANN (One America News) – they’re solid Trump all the time.
My favorite presser:
Trump – I want complete freedom of speech
9Reporter in audience – …….
Trump – shut up
@Kana – No, don’t visit OANN. You know what they’re saying and we don’t need to give them clicks to raise their search profile.
10So Trump pardons two Gis that the military convicts. Message to his Mafioso backers. “I will pardon you too if you stay loyal to ME, not the law or the USA.”

12omg. Did he actually do that? I’m shocked it didn’t burst into flames at the moment it touched his hand.
and
Linda Phipps @ 9:
Yep, that was the highlight of my week. The more so because Trump had absolutely no idea what he just did.
Alex Jones is threatening at least one member of the Stone jury. They just can’t help themselves.
