Roger Stone guilty on all seven felony counts.

He lied to protect Donald Trump.  And he’s not alone.

  1. Larry from Colorado says:

Will the “thing” in the oval office even consider pardoning him? Is he really that stupid? Of course that’s a rhetorical question.

  2. Judge Amy Berman Jackson will preside over any sentencing. Should be fun when old Roger and his attorneys beg leniency from the Judge who Rog insulted on multiple occasions. Trial strategy 101, insult the judge, not.

  3. Sam in Superior says:

Trump will absolutely pardon Stone. Trump has shown he cares only about his base’s opinions and adulation and doesn’t realize this will serve to further erode his already shaky support among independents.

  4. charles phillips says:

If, as Sam predicts, Fat Donnie pardons Lyin’ Roger Stone, and loses the support of independants, I wonder how he will “win” with less than 35% of the vote?

  5. charles phillips @ 4,

If it happens as Sam says, can we be sure that suddenly the GOP senate will vote to impeach Trump to save their own election chances or just decide they need more time with their families? Sometimes decisions have untended consequences…

  6. what’s the over/under on a pardon?

  7. I was going to say it couldn’t happen to a more deserving, despicable, and evil SOB, and then I remembered his running dogs, uh, I mean buddies…

  8. The cherry on top of this is a jury in California just gave Planned Parenthood an $870,000 punitive judgement against the anti- choice nutcases (sorry for redundancy) for doctored films smearing Planned Parenthood.
So stone and anti-choice whackjobs go down on same day for lying.

Can the president pardon someone for a crime committed FOR the president?

Sixth person convicted as a result of the Mueller investigation.

I’m not tired of winning yet. Let’s have some more.

So the video liars are on the hook for somewhere around $2.3 Million.

  13. As an interesting note: the Nov. 11 episode of the Skullduggery podcast is titled:
Buried Treasure: “The Roy Cohn – Donald Trump playbook”.

You can hear how Cohn started our country into the nightmare we find ourselves in…

  14. Linda Phipps says:

Stone’s conviction on all counts should be an object lesson for future testees in case they choose to lie. I would also be very suspicious of “I don’t recall”, unless the entire republican party has dementia …. oh … wait.

  15. Brad in Dallas says:

Please keep in mind it’s not a national popular election, that the electoral dictators will decide, and that it’s a crazy tight race in the swing states. It may just come down to how much we can throw Trumpski off his bragging and strutting game, not how he looks to actual thinking voters.

  16. Coming soon to an impeachment hearing near you –

Gordon Sondland bought an Ambassadorship to the E.U. Now he must decide whether to stand by his corrupt enabler… or rat him out in front of millions to save him from a prison term like those guys up there. ^

Edit: Sondland told the committee that he never discussed investigating Biden with anyone at the White House or state department, Miller noted. “Now you have this reported conversation where he gets off the phone and says to a staffer that Biden is the most important thing. If that’s true, he just clearly lied to the committee. That is as clear cut a lie as you can catch someone in.”

The consequences for Sondland could be dire if he maintains blind loyalty to Trump. Miller, now a partner at management consultancy Vianovo, added: “If I was him, I would be very worried about a referral to the committee for a criminal charge and I would be trying to get on the right side of the committee to prevent that happening. The committee now has a lot of leverage over him to get him to tell the truth.”

“Throughout the Mueller inquiry [into alleged collusion with Russia], there were a lot of witnesses who thought they could stick with Trump and get a pardon. Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen are now in prison and Roger Stone has just been convicted. So that’s a pretty dangerous gamble to make.”
