Look Out! They’re Backing Up!
Smartmatic, the voting machine company dragged into the fake controversy over non-existent massive voter fraud, got a belly fully of the disinformation about them spewing from Fox Noise, OAN, and Newsmax. Last week, counsel for the company delivered a 20 page cease and desist letter, demanding full retractions on the lies the networks have been running in a continuous loop. Clearly the disinformation is egregious enough that Smartmatic got Fox counsel’s attention. Lou Dobbs got the message and aired a segment on Friday evening that debunked a bunch the bullshit he’s been repeating that was started by Rudy and his merry band of soon-to-be-disbarred lawless lawyers. It’s unclear if Smartmatic will be happy with that step, but they have clearly took the wind out of Fox’s sails. It will be entertaining to see how OAN and Newsmax handle the actual threat of serious legal liability.
I read that the other half of the crazy fox business duo of Dobbs and bartiromo also aired some comments debunking the fraud claims. I don’t know if that’s enough to get them off the hook for the suits by Smartmatic. Smartmatic needs to go after Rudy G and his boss along with Lin Wood, Sidney Powell and Flynn flam man. They’ve all been fanning the flames over the fraud claims about voting machines, just in the past 48 hours, along with some members of congress.

2Glad to read this. I hope Smartmatic stays on the case of each and every on-air yammerer spreading the lies, until they can either get them in court or force them to spend as many minutes/times a day apologizing and recanting as they did lying in the first place.
3They’ll probably all pull the same trick Carlson did in his defamation case, where his lawyers basically just said that the crap he spews on air shouldn’t be taken at face value, it’s just for entertainment purposes. Over and over again all these right wing aholes pull this same “It was just a joke” card every time they get called out for some bullshite they scream.
Then they get their panties in a twist and clutch their pearls when a Democrat calls them “f*ckers” on a hot mic.
4I suspect OAN and Newsmax are pretty close to judgment-proof, so I don’t think Smartmatic can expect much heartbalm from them. Fox is different.
OAN and Newsmax could possibly be shuttered but would just reopen under a new corporate structure.
Unlike in Germany, evil publishers cannot be banned from publishing.
It’s our sacred right as Americans to poison ourselves.
