First up, tomorrow is moving day, Thursday Bubba and I have tickets to the presidential debate, and Friday we close on this house so I’m gonna be busy as Trump on Twitter. Be nice to El Jefe. He’s a friend and I like him. He’s also smart, stubborn, and ready to pick a fight – just the kind of people I like.
Meanwhile, I want you to notice this. Imagine if President Barack Obama had planned a secret meeting with the Taliban during the week of 9/11 at Camp David against the advice of everyone else in the administration. Yeah, think about that.
Now I have to stop thinking about it. My head hurts.
1The only advice I can give, aside from hiring half a dozen guys to do it, is stay hydrated.

Both sides saw Tuesday’s contest as too close to call — in itself an ominous sign for Republicans.
Over half the district’s votes will likely come from Charlotte’s suburbs. As Democrats captured 39 GOP-held seats last November and took control of the House, many of their pickups were in suburbs — even in red states like Texas, Kansas, Utah, South Carolina and Oklahoma.
Special elections generally attract such low turnout that their results aren’t predictive of general elections, especially in presidential years.
Even so, Tuesday’s vote will be scrutinized for signals about whether GOP erosion in such communities has continued, particularly among women and college-educated people who have abandoned Trump in droves over his conservative social policies and vitriolic rhetoric on immigration and race.

First of all, good luck with the move. I’m debating whether I want to move again or just stay where I am until I die. It’s a trade-off.
I live just south of Superior, WI and I see and hear a lot of angst about Trump’s farm-killing trade policy. I think a substantial number of farmers will vote for a Democrat if they can connect on a personal level. That’s why I like Elizabeth Warren; she has a well-thought plan for everything.

A piece called “Trump Is Not Well” came out in The Atlantic a couple of days ago that should be required reading for anybody suffering from Trump-whiplash/gaslighting.
It actually talks about coping mechanisms.

13NOAA ships are based in the bay in my smallWest coast town (Coast Guard is also here). One of the ships was heading out to sea this evening as my dog and I walked on the beach (also saw a CG chopper). I hope it’s clear to most people that it wasn’t the NOAA professionals who pulled the “defend Dotard45 tweet stunt”. I’m afraid the rank and file get blamed for bad decisions the political types make. My dad was a career federal employee, an engineer with the USGS, so maybe I take it personally. The farmer comments blaming the USDA instead of Dotard45 made me think of that.
