Bless Mitch McConnell’s little tiny withered heart.  He thinks he’s gonna run things in the next senate.

Hummmm … should we call him the Minority Leader or the Loser Leader?

When asked about Biden’s cabinet picks, McConnell said …

“They aren’t all going to pass on a voice vote, and they aren’t all going to make it, but I will put them on the floor.”

Somebody tap him on the shoulder and remind him that it may not be his choice.

For those of you who so generously donated to our Send a Kid to Georgia program, Glen just let me know that they are working hand-in-hand with the Georgia Democratic Party and have been assigned Savannah and Tybee Island. Glen is going with them to make sure everybody is being safe.

They have three large Air B&Bs in a row so everybody has their own bedroom, and some very kind person donated 500 top quality masks for our top quality kids.  Two Democratic women are going along to cook the food you helped pay for – they will have breakfast and a late dinner at home so they can eat fast food for lunch.

Glen has promised us a YouTube or a video at least every other day.  They will arrive on December 26 and start work immediately.

Now that the election is over, the DOJ’s active investigations are coming to light.  A few weeks ago, Hunter Biden’s attorney announced that he’d been notified that Biden’s tax returns are being investigated.  More importantly (and seriously) word is leaking out that prosecutors from the Southern District of New York have “an active” investigation into Rudy Giuliani’s activities, especially his attempts to dig dirt on the Bidens in Ukraine.  They’ve already interviewed multiple witnesses including associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, arrested on multiple federal charges.  Now it seems that Rudy has (or is going to) get subpoenaed for his electronic communications and financial records.  It’s unlikely Trump will pardon him before leaving office because a pardoned person loses his 5th amendment rights to those crimes and could be compelled to testify against Trump.  Looks like 2021 is not going to be a good year for Rudy.  It’s been painful to watch his slide from “America’s Mayor” to playing the role of Luca Brasi to Trump’s Vito Corleone.  We know how that script played out.

Alabama has elected a moron to replace Doug Jones in the Senate, and let’s be frank; Jones only won Jeff Sessions’ seat because his GOP opponent was a documented pedophile.  Said moron is former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville, known on the football field as “Tubs”.  Tubs may have been a good football coach, but apparently that’s all he knows.  Tubs thinks that the three branches of the US government are the Executive, House, and Senate.  That’s right, the new Senator from Alabama doesn’t understand how the government is even organized.  He also thinks that God creates climate change, that heroin is not an opioid, and that the healthcare system should be “capitalist” (rather than a protected monopoly).  In short, Tubs is a typical knee jerk, rock rib, GOP ignoramus.

It actually gets worse, if that’s even possible.  Tub’s considering as his first act to aid Trump in his planned coup attempt to steal the election from Biden and Harris.  Objections to any state’s electoral slate have to be sponsored by at least one Congressman and one Senator.  McConnell has already warned his caucus to not go there, but Tubs is apparently ignoring that.  The effort will fail, of course, but if Tubs actually does something so stupid, it will be the shortest political honeymoon in Senate history.  There will be some entertainment in that, though.

Oddly enough people seem to be having a problem with the fact that Republicans in Congress are getting vaccinations when frontline workers can’t get them.

They say they want no modern architecture but they list Art Deco. Am I confused?  Why don’t they just say that all government documents must be written on parchment paper and signed with a pen and one of those ink well things?

My guess is that his staff is trying to find things for him to do to distract him.

“We have seen the legal briefs from the great Lin Wood where he has misspelled his name and promised plenty of perjury. There is no need to really add insult to that injury. However, the combination of these comical legal briefs in addition to the calls for voters to sit out of the runoff election have revealed the strategy moving forward. They are building a narrative that only a sports fan can truly understand. Allow me to use a sporting analogy.

No team is in a better position in college football than the Texas A&M Aggies. They are the fifth best college football team when only the top four get a ticket. They get to play North Carolina in the Orange Bowl on January 1st. Sure, the Tar Heels have had a nice season, but if we are honest without ourselves we know that the Aggies should handily beat them if they show up ready to play. So, when Notre Dame and/or Ohio State get killed in the semi-final we know what the narrative will be in College Station. If we would have gone then we would have competed with those teams. In reality, three out of four of those teams would likely also destroy A&M. Yet, we will never know and Aggies can always claim they would have done better.

The Trumps and their minions are just like the obnoxious fan on the sidelines loudly claiming they would do better than the professional on the field or court actually doing it. Unfortunately for them, they actually have been on the court and coughed up the game in spectacular fashion. They never planned to actually govern. They were supposed to lose last time. They wanted people to actually believe they would have done better without seeing it. Most of us give those people the side eye anyway and we are doing the same now.”
