Sometimes John Pierre Dupont Ain’t Really John Pierre Dupont

March 20, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

It’s yet another PAC Scam.

A guy named John Gary Rinaldo changed his name to John Pierre Dupont in 2012.  With his new fancy name, he set up Super PACs in California and ripped people off to the tune of $250,000.

Among the scams he used were Businessmen for a Businessman President, Sanity in Politics, Beto 4 Senate, Democrats for Congress, Manchin for Senate, McCaskill for Senate, Stabenow for Senate, Rosen for Senate, Gillum for Florida Governor, Sanders for 2016 Campaign, Immigrant Children Reunited, and about 50 others, none of which got one single dime from John.

He’s 80 years old, dammit.  Shouldn’t he be working as a greeter at Walmart?

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen, who watches your money like a hawk, for the heads up.

Fun With Guns: Cockroach Edition

March 20, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

This could not happen in a normal world. This right here is living proof that we are living in weird times.

Mark the time and place: it started in Detroit.

A man trying to kill a cockroach ended up with a bullet wound in his foot Tuesday morning at a home in the 18700 block of Albion Street in Detroit.

Police said the 50-year-old man, who uses a wheelchair, threw his shoe at the cockroach in an effort to kill the bug. However, his revolver was inside the shoe. The gun fell out of the shoe, discharged and a bullet struck him in his foot.

Condition of the cockroach is unknown.

Guns are quite frivolous about where they aim when left on their own.

Thanks to Claudia for the heads up.

A Thought

March 19, 2019 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

My friend Rutger just mentioned that maybe George Conway is the new Martha Mitchell.

My mouth fell open.  I think he’s right.

I have become a fan of podcasts.  I listened to Slow Burn from Slate and it’s well worth your time.  Season 1, Episode 1 of Slow Burn is entitled Martha.  I had largely forgotten about Martha Mitchell until I heard it and then suddenly, I saw that Nixon’s attempt to paint Martha as a crazy alcoholic was because she was right.  Well, that and the fact that she was a crazy alcoholic. But even alcoholics can tell the truth.

Slow Burn is well worth your time, and you’ll look at George Conway a whole different way if you remember Martha Mitchell.

I Still Don’t Have a Favorite Yet

Okay, I do not pick favorites this far out, but I thought you might want to see something in Texas that I haven’t seen on national news.

It’s a Beto crop circle.

It’s on a two acre plot about a mile north of the Austin airport.  It’s made with natural materials like sand, mulch, clay, rocks and pecan shells.  It is expected to last two weeks tops.

I thought it was kinda cool.

Thanks to Bryan for the heads up.

Snowflakes Everywhere!

Okay, stop whatever you were doing and giggle your butt off.

Devin Nunes is suing Twitter because people are saying bad things about him on there that are causing him great pain and suffering.  No, I am not kidding.  He used those exact words.

He wants $600 million in damages.  Yeah, well, so do I but do you see me whining about Franny Sue Jackson, my competitor over at “Get Your Locks Off,” saying I give crappy haircuts?  No, I’m a proud grown up woman and I would never give Franny Sue acknowledgement that I even know who she is.

To sue somebody, you have to prove that you’ve been damaged in some way.  Wanna know the damages that Nunes claims? He says

… that Twitter played a key role in slowing Nunes’s 2018 re-election campaign, when compared with his larger wins in previous re-election bids. The lawsuit said that Twitter allowed “fake accounts” to slander Nunes, including one by a user who claimed to be Nunes’s mother.

Oh, it hurt him so much that he didn’t win his gerrymandered district as big as he usually does, and I am certain that has nothing to do with the fact that he stole peoples’ babies, locked them in cages, and won’t give them back. Ot that he made a total horse’s patootie of himself running back and forth to the White House so they could tell him what he should do next in committee hearings.

The Twitter accounts he says ran a “defamation campaign of stunning breadth and scope, one that no human being should ever have to bear and suffer in their whole life” (seriously) include @DevinNunesMom, @DevinCow, @fireDevinNunes.

Never again should any Republican call any progressive a snowflake.

Hey Nunes – you’re a jerk and ninny. I hope that hurt like hell.
