Republicans Are Getting a Little Touchy

October 15, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Well, my goodness gracious, a United States Senator from Kentucky, David Perdue, was on the campus of Georgia Tech yesterday.  All bets are that he was either lost or drunk.  The scales are tipping toward drunk because he was there campaigning for Brian Kemp, who is running for Governor of Georgia.

Not only is Perdue not from Georgia, he was there to campaign for a man who is trying to disenfranchise black voters.

So, along comes a student to ask Perdue why he was campaigning for a man who was trying too ste ….

That’s as far as the student gets before Perdue grabs the student’s cell phone in a very aggressive manner and says, “We’re not going to do …” and then he mumbles something.  Now ask yourself what would happen if the student had grabbed a senator’s phone in a menacing manner.

There’s no equal justice under the law.  Let’s just quit pretending there is.

And, we can also quit pretending that Republicans aren’t scared of getting caught with this shenanigans.  They are shook to the core.

I’m Waiting for the Bitches Hex

Headlines from The Hill today.

Sorry, but I passed the witch exam about 30 years ago and am now a fully licensed bitch.  By the way, Bitch stands for: Boys, I’m Taking Charge Here.

The upside to this event is that they targeting all rapists and there’s free axe grinding all day.

Here’s the true upside to this:

The event has earned attention from Trump supporters. Amy Kremer, the co-founder of Women for Trump, brought up the event during an interview on MSNBC on Sunday, calling it a “scary time” for Republicans.

Well, I imagine so. I suspect it’s like us being scared of nuclear annihilation when Trump’s in a bad mood one day.  Same deal, hexes from based on heathens and annihilation based on science.

Thanks to Tony for the heads up.

Keeping Up With the Slackers

Someone sent me this very enlightening tweet from yesterday.

The death toll is at 18 at the hurricane site.  I have a friend who lives in Panama City, and this is what she did yesterday.

She is so glad that Donald Trump had a nice day. She’s sure he needed the rest from … you, know all that golfing he did last weekend.

Thank you Alice for the heads up.

Pistol Pete, What Ya Doin’, Buddy?

October 15, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen sent us this little diddy that no one else seems to have picked up on.

Pistol Pete Session is in trouble entering early voting with a strong showing by his opponent,  35 year old Colin Allred. Allred was born and raised in Dallas. He is also a former NFL football player who left football to go to law school.  Now he’s running for congress.

The race will be a close one because Allred is very popular, has a strong academic background, and makes outstanding speeches. Y’all keep your fingers crossed for him.

Anyway, back to Pete Sessions. Because he’s for sale, he enters early voting with a couple million on hand.

Alfredo found this oddity.

Now, what this shows is that the Dallas Police Department provided security for a kickoff for Sessions.

As Alfredo asks, “Sessions personally paid the DPD for security?  Hmmm, I wonder which DPD employee got that check?”

It does look odd. You’d think he’d want to avoid the appearance of impropriety. But not Ole Pistol Pete.

You can skip on over there to see what else he spent money for.

Thanks to Alfredo over at the Dairy Queen for the heads up.

One Other Thing

October 14, 2018 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

I have one other thing to add to El Jefe’s thoughts on the lack of irony by Republicans.

By the way, I thought Kamala Harris laid the framework for a later perjury charge in a precision fashion while Nasty Kavanaugh didn’t even realize what she was doing.  Some Democrats I know think she’s too brittle to run for president.  I disagree completely, she is sly and I love sly women.

I’m So Happy to Get This Advice – From a Neo-Con

October 14, 2018 By: El Jefe Category: Alternative Facts, SCOTUS

Bret Stephens, a loudmouth Neo-Con who regularly pollutes the opinion pages of the New York Times and right wing media, gave the Dems some very important advice Friday with the ominous warning, “Democrats are Blowing it, Again”.  Stephens, known as a vehement climate denier, Kavanaugh defender, torture supporter, and Trump apologist, believes he has the answer to all of the Dems woes, and that is, don’t be so mean.  Using the odd metaphor of becoming unattractive by piercing your tongue, Stepehens goes through a long litany of offenses the Dems have committed in his view:

  1. Hillary said you can’t be civil with someone trying to destroy everything you stand for.
  2. House Rep. Jerry Nadler dared to say that he would start an investigation of Kavanaugh and the whitewashed FBI “investigation” should the Dems take control of the House.
  3. Cory Booker and Kamala Harris really blew it when the spoke out against the Kavanaugh nomination with “histrionics” and turning the hearings into “audition tapes” for the presidential bids.
  4. Chuck Schumer chose to turn the Kavanaugh catastrophe into a campaign issue.
  5. The New Yorker really blew it by publishing Deborah Ramirez’s account of Kavanaugh’s sexual assault.  Never mind that the FBI refused to follow up on that account and that of dozens of others who tried to testify to the veracity of her account.
  6. Dems denounced Susan Collins, calling her a “gender traitor” in a a NYT op-ed.  Shame on the NYT, his employer.

Now here’s a guy who thought invading Iraq was a great idea, discrimination against Muslims is just dandy, and that Israel should strike against the Palestinians.  I know he has a depth of wisdom about all things Democratic (that’s sarcasm, folks), but perhaps his time would be better spent reviewing the truckloads of bullshit that he’s been peddling for years.  I know the NYT has him as a columnist for “balance”, but Jesus – there’s no one else?
