Judge Smith, Come Up To The Chalkboard Please and Write, “I Will Not Argue With People Smarter Than I Am” 100 Times

Attorney General Holder not only defended the President’s comments, he added one of his own —

“The question posed by the Court regarding judicial review does not concern any argument made in the government’s brief or at oral argument in this case,” the attorney general wrote. “The Department [of Justice] has not in this litigation, nor in any other litigation of which I am aware, ever asked this or any other Court to reconsider or limit long-established precedent concerning judicial review of the constitutionality of federal legislation.”

In laymen’s terms, that means, “Dude, focus.  You’re on the wrong fairway here and we’re playing through.”

Dude, Get a Uterus and Shut the Hell Up

Republican Congressfool Steve King is as confused as a goat on Astroturf.

He opposes Obamacare.  Wanna know why?

“I want the nanny state out of my life and I don’t want my body commandeered, and I will tell you that the most sovereign thing is your soul…but the most second sovereign thing is your health. That’s your skin and everything inside it and you are the one that must me able to manage that health. nobody else should be sticking their nose in it.”

How ’bout sticking their trans-vaginal wand in it?  Does that count?

Dude, you’ve got loco camped out in your thinking mechanism.  You want to manage my health care and tell me where to get my mammogram – and, no, I do not believe the closet in your office is an authorized mammogram provider – but nobody can tell you what to do because ….

This is the same guy who thinks birth control does not prevent pregnancies.

Republicans are as fake as a three dollar wig.  Sadly, some people like a three dollar wig.

Thanks to Iris for the heads up.

Yes, Judge Jerry Smith is From Texas

April 05, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

Judge Jerry Smith is from Texas, dammit.  He was appointed to the bench by Reagan, who apparently fertilized Smith ego and it has been growing ever since.

He wrote the majority opinion on Hopwood, which struck down affirmative action in admissions to UT law school.  He also wrote the opinion that said the EPA should be required to do a cost/benefit analysis when deciding what chemicals to ban.  In short, if the money business makes is greater than the lives of those harmed, don’t ban it.

He’s a creepy little man who pushes the edges of sanity.

Yesterday, he fell over the edge.  He ordered a young female Assistant US Attorney to write a “single spaced, no less than three page” report, due today, on President Obama’s right to criticize the judiciary.

So, it’s okay to criticize congress, and Lord knows it’s okay to criticize the President, but criticism of the judiciary will not be tolerated!

What he did is called “outside the record.” No, wait, I believe the correct legal term is “Dumber than bean dip.”

Hell, even Fox News thought he was out of line.

VAN SUSTEREN: I imagine the discussion tonight at the Justice Department – I would certainly be having this discussion – is to refuse to do it. Because it really is beyond what is necessary in the case. It has nothing to do with the case. And the lawyer answered the question in court. And it’s clearly just, you know, the judge is mad. And to refuse to do it, maybe you draw a contempt charge but then I would then take it up with the full court. I’m not so sure the Department of Justice has to comply with this.

What a silly little bully boy Ronald Regan appointed to the court.

I have no doubt that Eric Holder can take this guy to the woodshed in 2 pages or less.  I also have no doubt that Judge Smith is gonna learn real quick that holding the Attorney General of the United Damn States of America in contempt of court for something that has nothing to do with the case at hand is going to fly like a lead balloon.

Why do they always have to be from Texas?  Why?

Maybe They Did The Study at Tiffanys

I am really glad that I don’t have to spend the rest of my life missing Newt Gingrich.  He has decided not to go away.

And he’s as entertaining as ever.

The Center For Health Transformation, a think tank founded by Newt Gingrich to generate legislative proposals for health care reform, is filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Much like Gingrich’s campaign, it appears as if struggles with debt were its biggest problem. The Chronicle reports it has $1 million to $10 million in liabilities.

And he wanted us to let him be in charge of Medicare?

I know many people who’ve had to declare bankruptcy by getting sick without health insurance, but Gingrich is so on top of his game that his group went bankrupt just studying it.  That’s not easy, Folks.  You gotta give the man for originality.

Republican Women: Shuddup About S-E-X

April 04, 2012 By: Juanita Jean Herownself Category: Uncategorized

There is no group on the planet who discusses s-e-x more than Republican women.  Mostly, they are opposed to it.  Which, of course, is perfectly understandable having met Republican men.

I meet with Democratic women almost every day and we never talk about s-e-x.  We don’t talk about quantum physics  either, but, like sex, it’s kinda what keeps us from flying off the planet.

Anyway, Republican women yabber about it all the damn time.  And they need to shuddup because the more they yabber, the more Republican men get caught doing something they shouldn’t oughtta.

It’s a  sheriff from Colorado this time.

A winner of Sheriff of the Year has been sentenced to 30 days in the US jail that bears his name after he pleaded guilty to trading drugs for sex with male prostitutes.

Retired sheriff of Arapahoe County, Colorado, Patrick Sullivan, 69, was taken into custody on Tuesday after pleading guilty in court to felony drug possession and solicitation of a prostitute, the state’s attorney general’s office said in a statement.

And, yes, he’s a law and order Republican.

Please, somebody give this man $50 and directions to a gay strip joint.

Now I’m not saying that Democratic men are perfect, but at least when they get caught it’s with a willing partner and the only drugs involved is the mesmerizing whiff of Aqua Velva.

Thanks to June for the heads-up.
